We got there at 2:30 and they close at 3:00 so I asked what they dont have, the older lady said brisket, cool we wont order that. We ordered a cuban, 2 meat platter (pulled chicken/pulled pork) with double mac n cheese as sides, and 2 orders of corn bread (2 comes in 1 order). The lady taking my order wasnt the friendliest. Paid for our order and didnt get any receipt. She answers the phone and someone asked about the brisket and she said yeah we have enough for an order but not two… but she just told me there wasn’t any. Whatever. Got our food , asked for 2 additional forks from the younger lady and she insisted but second guessed herself about putting 2 forks in the bag but only gave me on (i asked for 2 additional forks, im not sure why it was such a big deal) hurried back in the car across the street. We get back to our hotel and we’re missing an order of corn bread , so instead of the 4 we ordered we only got 2. My husband said the cuban was good , especially the coleslaw in it. The meat platter was bland, the chicken and pork both lacked the smokyness from bbq’d meats. The chicken was DRY. The peach bourbon bbq sauce was good and save the meal. The mac n cheese was bland and over cooked. It did also come with a cornbread which was separate from what I had ordered and paid for.

Read moreBest barbecue on Chincoteague, no contest! My wife got the cordon bleu sandwich and I got the cuban sandwich and both were exceptional. The meat was juicy, the cheese was plentiful, and the flavors were amazing.
But as good as the sandwiches were, they don't hold a candle to the ribs. The ribs were perfect. PERFECT. Great flavor, great smoke, great texture, easily coming off the bone without being mushy. I didn't find the container of sauce for the ribs until after I had eaten them all, and I was fine with that. The ribs were just right as is. A work of art.
We grabbed some sides too. The quick pickled cucumbers were great, and the salt potatoes were very yummy. I dumped the bbq sauce on the mac and cheese because the sauce was too tasty to go to waste, it really gave the mac a nice kick.
That's enough from me for now, I'm going to go order more ribs...
Read moreJust happened to pass by on our trip in Chincoteague and knew I had to stop. Got ribs, pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, mac and cheese and their special cucumbers in vinegar. The seasoning on the ribs was delicious, they were just a little overdone. My boys, who never like ribs, could not get enough. My wife absolutely loved the cucumbers, they were top notch. My son completely devoured all of the pulled pork sandwich. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, just a little lacking in flavor. Everyone's favorite thing about the meal was the sauces though. We tried all of them and one was better than the next. Wherever we're in the neighborhood again. We...
