This hotel has absolutely no respect towards their guest, I work in a hotel as front desk receptionist and working in a hotel your guests needs and wants should also be put first especially guests who are members, I ended up staying.at this location I would check in and out then need to make another reservation each time I would be checking in around 3am or so and being a member with Red Roof I would ask for a late check out I did check out a little later than 12pm which is the latest they give but being a member and staying as much as I was I didn't think it was a big deal and they never said anything about it before, I didn't think it was a issue, but last day i stayed house keeping knocks at the door i tell them ok im getting my up and leaving i have to get all my stuff together get my self my child dressed and i also clean up putting dirty towles together throwing out any trash so its easy to clean but there's another knock and you have the front desk man/house keeper who screams you are always doing this then few minutes later you have the maintenance man coming to the door acting like hes supposed to intimate someone knock at the door saying check outs at 11 and its pasted the time and we have to be out by 11am so my fieace tells him ok we are almost done we have several things to pack and take out to the car we are leaving we leave I go to make a reservation mind you never were we kicked out or told that but the bigger Jamaican man whos front desk / house keeping cancels my reservation so I called and its the front desk/ house keeper who picks up says we cant stay there because of the owner but the person on shift before him never cancelled the reservation but once he starts his.shift he went and cancelled it, i never new you could be kicked out a hotel for staying a half hour to hour passed check out being a member and spending money everyday for passed week or two at their hotel, that big Jamaican man should not be treating guest that way and liening saying the owner cancelled it when really it was him he lives in the hotel and thinks he runs it or something they always have him working by far the worst customer service I experienced and being a hotel employee that behavior would not be ok any where else nor have I seen a owner not let a member come back because they check out by 1230 to 1pm this place does not put guests first no hospitality or acknowledgement of their members stay far away if you wanna get the appreciation of being a member and getting...

Very dirty and health hazard. You can tell the staff don't care, simple fixes not done to elevate quality of room. I've worked in residential maintenance for years, so I know how easy it is to paint / patch holes / clean things.

Our first room was on the ground floor and as soon as we entered it smelled like cigarette smoke. I have sensitivities and immediately felt a scratch on the back of my throat. We also noticed a large wall repair by the AC unit that never got finished, stains on the chair, and several stains in the bedding. So I immediately went to the desk and asked for a room swap.

Our second room was a lot better, but still very bad. There is a BLANKET OF MOLD under the fridge. Absolutely a health hazard. We already swapped rooms, and only staying a night so we decided to just give up all hope and stay.

The balcony has some bent, rusty, sketchy chair out there accompanying all the cob webs and wasps. Stains on the walls, spider webs in the lamp shades, holes by the shower curtain, the TV remote was missing the battery pack lid. The ceiling had a huge stain from some kind of leak that never got touched up. There was a empty Skittles bag under the bed frame, and the floors had visible dirt. The flooring was also bubbling from water damage.

The hallways smelled, the fire safety equipment looks over 30 years old, and we avoided the ice machine and outdoor pool afraid that either would make us sick due to lack of property sanitation.

AVOID.

Overall, the staff doesn't care. A lot of the problems can be easily resolved but they aren't. There was never someone at the desk, I always had to call on the phone. At one point when we were walking in the older lady behind the desk looked miserable and didn't...

Terrifying Experience – Unsafe and Unprofessional

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone — especially families. We had a terrifying experience: our friend’s child and wife got stuck in the restroom due to a faulty door lock. It took staff over 30 minutes to respond and unlock the door. Just imagine if it had been only children trapped inside.

From the start, things went wrong. At check-in, they didn’t provide all the rooms we booked, saying some weren’t cleaned yet — even though it was well past check-in time. We were forced to hold onto one of the rooms, even though it was faulty, because they didn’t accommodate us properly.

Later, when the restroom issue happened, instead of offering any empathy or support, staff questioned why we didn’t return the room key right when the problem occurred — completely ignoring that their own team failed to communicate the issue between shifts. To make matters worse, the people at checkout were extremely rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional.

They even tried to justify the delay by saying, “It’s Saturday, so room cleaning was behind.” Seriously? After taking money from paying customers, the day of the week should never be an excuse. It’s not the customer’s problem.

And then the worst part: when we calmly raised our concerns, the staff rudely told us to leave and threatened to call the police! For simply asking for help. It was shocking, inhumane, and completely unacceptable.

This entire experience ruined our trip and left our families shaken. We came for a relaxing vacation and left deeply disturbed. If you value your safety, your children, or even the most basic level of customer service — do NOT stay here. Absolutely disgraceful. Zero...

Would not recommend this place for safety reasons. Safety is my number one priority when booking a place to stay. The first room we were assigned didn't lock from the outside—it didn’t even require a key card to open. The only way to secure it was from the inside using the deadbolt or manual bar. That means if you leave to explore Niagara, which is the whole point of the trip, anyone could just walk into your room. I was alarmed and went to the front desk. The staff member came with me to check, and I showed her how I could open the door easily without using force or turning the handle—it just pushed open. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she lightly tapped the door and turned the handle, saying “it’s fine” when clearly it wasn’t. I asked, “What’s the point of having a key card if anyone can just push the door open?” She said, “No one would do that,” which didn’t reassure me at all. I told her I didn’t feel safe leaving our belongings in that room for the day, especially since we were staying for three days. She refused to offer a room change until I insisted. Then she asked if it was just for one night. When I said it was for three days, she finally agreed to switch rooms—but only after arguing with me about whether this was a real issue. This experience was terrible. If safety matters to you, I highly suggest staying elsewhere. I’m just glad I have the habit of checking room locks—otherwise, we could’ve been robbed and had our whole trip ruined. Location wise tho it was very convenient and lots of parking spot. That i can give them. Picture posted actual room lock you decide if you feel okay/safe.

Service upon check in was great. Service upon room issues was great. Room issues though.....had reserved a 3 bed room. Awesome that its offered. However the conditions are incredible. The bathroom had mold growing on the inside of the shower door. There were un patched holes everywhere. (Holes happen in hotels. Fix them) New furniture which was nice but again, holes from the old furniture. Outside of room was not vacuumed and debris all around the hallways. Dont set your bags down. I have low expectations already for red roof inn but this takes the cake. There was a pair of dentures on the headboard of our bed. ON THE HEADBOARD. How did cleaning now see them?! Did they even actually clean? Or did they just set the sheets at that point. The door lock, yea. Not screwed in and could VERY EASILY be kicked in. And the outlets. Broken cover plates, exposing the wires and connections. How they even rented a room with busted cover plates on outlets next to beds in absurd. Local code inspectors will be notified. Exceptionally disgusting and disappointed, on top of it to find out that my rate of $243 for the night was massively low as the room on the night would've cost me $400! For those conditions. We left. Got a room at a Hampton instead. Did receive a refund but I would second guess ever staying there. Request to check the room before checking in.
