Smalls Sliders — Restaurant in Clearwater

Sophia needs to be fired immediately! This is my first experience with this company and definitely not a good first impression. Sophia the manager, mind you I didn’t know at the time she was the manager, was working at the speaker when I first pulled up to order.. She stood there emotionless lacking personality completely and asked me what I wanted. I ordered a two slider combo with a unsweetened tea. Was paying in cash so she directed me to the window. When I made it to the window the register had crashed causing Ashley to be locked out of her drawer. Several times Ashley attempted to make contact with Sophia on the headset with no response. They needed her keys/credentials to operate the register. After about ten minutes of them trying they were able to get in and I was handed soggy food and my change. Now let me just say this before I continue.. me being handed soggy food had nothing to do with anybody that was inside that building doing their job, every individual that was inside the establishment was working hard and doing exactly what they were supposed to do. It was the manager that was outside, preventing them from doing their job. I circled back in the drive thru to make my complaint with Sophia. She immediately got hostile and defensive, told me she had been doing this 35years and the assistant manager Damien can’t take directions from woman and that’s the problem. Told me the only reason she was outside in the first place was because Ashley almost passed out from the heat. As a manager of 35years she should know better then to share any of this with a customer. She then again directed me back to the window, she finally stopped taking orders and went inside to be a manager and as she walked past my car to the door she going to say “a bunch of crybabies”. This lady is completely unprofessional. The crew however did have my food remade by the time I made it to the window again and everything appeared to be fresh as expected. But it took me another ten minutes at the window to get a number for corporate or a way to contact Sophia’s manager. Those meals were passed out to the homeless. Sophia refused to come to the window, legend has it she’s still outside taking orders and causing problems for the rest of the crew.

Ok newly open…Prepare for it & Don’t expect White Castle, or even krystals because no onion, & bland burgers, simply no flavor. Patties weren’t dry but not juicy either. Bun was soft moist and steamed. Vibe is ikea-ish.its cute. Very clean, friendly peeps. Props for the waffle fries that beat out chicfila, they r super delicious and CRUNCHY! Why I couldn’t give 5 stars: 👎🏼 Newly opened restaurant already OUT OF THEIR SIGNATURE SAUCE (they only had ketchup so no sauce for anything, burgers, fries etc…the website really hypes that sauce 👎🏼 the patties need seasoning… salt, pepper, something… they were as bland as can be. Only thing with flavor was the bacon and cheese. The meat, buns both were not good 👎🏼the chocolate shake was virtually flavorless, about 10 shades lighter than what’s on the website. I ordered chocolate, never tasted anything chocolate.

WILL go back because: ♥️They’re TRYING, it’s new, got to get some kinks out and make necessary adjustments that take time in the beginning, ♥️great attitudes, friendly staff, ♥️clean, ♥️really want to try this famous sauce theyd ran out of. Way too little of food for the price. $10 for a small ass burger and like four and a half fries. I get more at McDonalds and pay less. The fries are super spicy like they just deep fried them into a batch of pepper. Burgers are actually pretty good though. I think this would be a great place if it was normal size burgers with more fries and keep the price the same. Paid $30 for a “kids meal” and one four combo. That’s is just insane. Plus they ran out of large cups so I got a small cup and still had to pay the price of a large cup. Waited at the drive thru for 10 minutes. Finally someone walked up, took my order and for them to say normally nobody is here right when they open up…….. Oh and it is extremely crazy how I have to pay over a dollar for a very small side of sauce that isn’t enough for my 4 and a half fries. They also have an outdoor area but an indoor area that isn’t indoors because they keep all doors and windows open. Plus fans are on high. Made my food cold really fast and my bag and napkins are going everywhere. I have eaten there twice now. Once eating in and once through the drive thru and I am still not impressed. Was so excited and each time is pissing me more...
