Wouldn’t even give this place a star....cashier’s professionalism and customer service etiquette says that she’s just there for a paycheck. No one should ever take an order without asking a name or answer the phone with “hello?” like it’s a personal phone line. It took her 6 times to get my order right I asked her was it a bad time (because I’m understanding enough to know that it’s busy and I rather have a correct order and wait to order) she procedes to tell me “No, we’re just busy and it’s difficult when the customer doesn’t say what they don’t want on their order only.” I wanted a gyro with light lettuce, no onions, and extra tahziki on the side with tabouleh and a gyro with everything and no lettuce. The owner/chef is rude. Even if you say no lettuce on a gyro, he will put the oldest, wilted romaine available on there. The cashier tried to make me pay for the extra tahziki sauce they forgot and that I had already paid for. So when the cashier addressed the owner/chef about the sauce he said, “What’s her problem now?” I won’t be going here anymore and I hope they go out of business. Oh and the tabouleh had no onions. I rather spend my money and extra gas at Aladdin’s. I regret not walking out and taking my...
Read moreThis place serves old food and when you tell them about it they argue with you! Man behind counter eats straight from the food containers where they make your gyros and falafels from. Everything I ordered was old and gross, we could not finish it. He tried to tell me it was my personal choice in taste, which is not true, I know the difference between food that needs trown out and food I don't personally care for! It does no good in telling them that their food is old, they will only argue with you and take your money. They served a fork with pudding and I ordered a combo which states for 2.99 you get a drink and fries, the man never asked what I wanted to drink and gave me water, when I brought this to his attention he told me they don't charge for drinks they are complimentary, according to the menu that is a lie. The fries were broqn and soggy the falafels were hard and crumbling, just disgusting. I can't believe the man which I believe is the owner would argue with the costumer when he has to know he's serving old food!!! Will never be back and will never recommend it. It actually gave me a headache and I barely...
Read morelike most people, COVID helped me realize that local businesses have a charm that a chain will never achieve, and Falafel Cafe is no exception! when they moved from their original location, I was devastated because I had stopped in only a handful of times. now, I can successfully say that this is THE best place to grab delicious, authentic Mediterranean food in all of Cleveland. their shwarma is to die for, and nobody can beat their gyros - the meat is always cooked to perfection with tasty veggies, all prepared fresh right there. i also have to plug the za'tar fattayer, which is my most recent favorite! i do want to try the entire menu eventually, because I have yet to be disappointed. highly recommend for those who love Mediterranean and for people who haven't had it before - it will be a delicious and worthwhile experience...
