I placed a large catering order on Friday (6/16) and was supposed to pick up my catering order on Saturday (6/17) @ 4:30pm. When we came to pick up our order on Saturday the hostess/waitress said our order wasn't ready AND that they haven't even started our order yet! I was upset that my order wasn't ready OR even being prepared and asked to speak with the owner. When the owner came to the window where they put the food to be picked up by the waitress he said, "What?" That's how he addressed my husband and myself!! He didn't say "How can I help you?" or " I'm sorry for the inconvenience", since he already knew the reason I was asking to speak with him in the first place! We went back and forth for a few minutes with him explaining all the situations HE was dealing with so that I would understand why my order wasn't ready OR even being prepared at that time. I asked him why didn't anyone call me to let me know you were running behind or that my order wasn't even being prepared? He said, " I can't get off the line to make a phone call!" To that I replied, " You don't get off the line, you delegate that to one of your workers!" All the owner said is, " I can cancel your order or get back on the line and start making it. Which one?" He actually said that more than once to us throughout our conversation!!! He didn't even try to make the situation better!! NOT ONCE DID HE APOLOGIZE!!!!! He just kept giving us the same two options. The owner didn't care that we paid $305.00 for a large catering order or that we had family waiting for us at our house while we were supposed to be picking up our dinner that we planned on eating with family for Father's Day!! He was very rude, unprofessional and unapologetic!! Because of his rudeness and lack of care about his customers we had him cancel or order and give us our money back!! When you own a business it is your responsibility to make sure you and your employees have great customer service skills! When the owner doesnt care about the customers or the money they spend at their establishment it says a lot about them!! I've even read in other reviews where he has asked people to NOT come back to his business!! We have eaten here quite a few times and never have a problem spending a good amount of money here! Since dealing with the owner on 6/17/23 we will not spend anymore money or time with someone who could care less about their customers and whether or not they are satisfied!! Read moreUpdate: I decided to try this place again because it was so good before. The guy who took my order was very very rude. In the middle, he just went to the back room and started chatting with people while I was ordering. I finally got him back, and I placed my order and I waited, and waited, and waited. I finally asked what was taking so long and a girl said that they were training in the back… She seemed a bit apologetic, but then the original guy came and he was so unbelievably rude to me and disrespectful when I asked why my food was taking so long. I must’ve waited a half hour for macaroni and cheese.
Even though the food is good, I will never go to this place again because of him. What a horrible person.
On the outside, the place didn’t look like much. But I went in, and the guy who waited on me was extremely nice and helpful. I had a hard time deciding between all of the items because they all looked so good. It was kind of pricey, but everything is. When I got home, it looked just average, but it was amazing. More than amazing. I think one of the best mac & cheese I have ever had anywhere. I really didn’t expect that. And even after I was done the good flavor just stayed with me. I had the one with the steak on it and I didn’t did not put the A1 sauce or mayonnaise that came with it because it seemed like too much. I did put the crispy onions though and there was steak. The flavor was out of this world. And I got a small for maybe $15 or whatever but it lasted me for two meals. Very very filling. So excellent food and service. I will definitely return. Everything was served HOT. Hibachi: The veggies were FRESH, cooked well and seasoned with depth. The rice was the perfect texture in my opinion, not under/over done & didn’t taste stale/hard. The regular was a great portion.
Macnificent: Creamy, elegant, seasoned, and created with intention. The sauce was perfect not grainy or broken. I loved the crunchy topping and freshly grated cheese. The noodles are perfectly al dente! This ain’t soggy soft noodles over here baby.
