Pickles: Marinated in jalapeño juice. Not spicy despite the marinade but the chipotle dipping sauce makes up for the kick that you’d expect from the jalapeño. The pickles were excellent—spears rather than chips. They were hot and the batter was crispy. Only issue was that the batter had an inconsistent thickness and the pickles would slide out if held incorrectly. Didn’t detract from taste but each bite was a bit different depending on the batter’s thickness. Not a good or bad thing—depends on the person’s tastes. The ranch and chipotle were both excellent and they both come on the plate so there’s some choice for the more adventurous who wants that extra heat. Alpenglow beer (Hefeweizen) 5.2%. Paired excellent with an orange wedge. A heavy beer for those meals when you want to ensure you leave feeling full. They offer military (with ID) their first beer for $2. That’s excellent since this same beer is otherwise $6. Pikes Peach Cocktail Peach, mint, bourbon, lemon, and sprite. Fruity and refreshing. Just enough sweet for someone who likes sweeter drinks. Not overly strong—ideal for a new drinker or someone who doesn’t like beer. Phantom Burger (medium) The burger and its toppings were very fresh. The bun crumbled with each bite because it was so flaky. The patty was cooked very evenly and the fries were a perfectly salty. Flat Iron Stake with Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables The zucchini and bell peppers were cooked to perfection. The carrots had a tiny bit of crunch—whether by design or not they added some texture to the dish as a whole. The medium-well steak wasn’t dry and the glaze on the whole thing had a rustic tang to it that agreed with the vegetables and buttery potatoes. Definitely worth the visit. The food was excellent and the portions were fair for the price. Would definitely do again.

This is an update since the 5 star review in summer of 2023: the last 2 times we have been since then (approx the past 6 months) there have been issues. The cheesecake sauce wasn't available and it's always been one of my favorite desserts in town. The cocktail I got was horrible and so sour I couldn't drink it (was told it was a new recipe). Which was out of the ordinary so we figured they were just having an off day. We met for a business lunch there last week and the whole lunch was kind of weird from the start. Our server was really intense and all over the place. She kept saying she'd bring more water and never did. When we ordered our food she forgot my business partner had already ordered his food because she got distracted taking to another coworker bringing out food, so he had to order again. When our food arrived she insulted the dressing that came with the beet salad and said she'd bring him something else. The chicken on the Japanese pancake was overcooked. And the fish and chips tasted good, however the shrinkflation was really awful. The price was still the same but the fish was at least 2/3 smaller than it used to be. They only gave me 4 teeny tiny fish sticks and way to many French fries to compensatefor the lack of fish. Definitely not worth it anymore. I got a cheesecake to-go because I couldn't get one the last time I was in. When I got to eat it later that evening, the cheesecake filling was the same thankfully, but the crust was thicker than usual which changed the flavor as a whole and the sauce was really off putting and tasted spoiled. Instead of a heavenly dessert I had a $10 piece of dissatisfaction. Summer 2023 review was 5 stars! Love the beer cheese soup. The Shepard pie was so yummy! And the cheesecake is to die for.

To me, this is one of the classic restaurants in downtown. I’ve been here at least a dozen different times and it never disappoints. It’s much bigger than you expect first walking in. There’s a pool hall upstairs and additional bar games on the other side upstairs. In addition, there’s a lovey back patio to hang out and take in some views. Their beer is all made in-house and is easily some of the better beer here in the springs. They’re always coming out with new and exciting beers. This last time they had a beer called Invictus which was a red ipa and only see this a couple times. It was super flavorful and refreshing. Their food menu is simple yet exciting and always delicious. Their fish and chips are so crispy and tender with their housemate tartar sauce. Personally, not a fan of their coleslaw but it’s only because there’s a little horseradish in there and I’m not a fan. All of their burger are yummy. They even have a couple vegan options on there like their take on an impossible burger or their vegan Shepard’s pie. My most recent trip they also substituted their impossible burger on their patty melt for my fiancé which was divine. I had their wedge salad with their Alabama white bbq sauce wings and was blown away by how good they were! Service is always way above average. Went on a busy Friday night dinner rush and had no issues whatsoever. Definitely recommend this neat local brewpub to anyone coming into the Springs!

it was my first time going, i went for a friends birthday. our server was inattentive and rude. when we first arrived she gave us all waters then we didn’t see her again for 20 minutes! we all were ready for drinks and appetizers and i was finally able to flag her down, i told her my drink and before i could even tell her my appetizer she rushed off! i had to request a straw 3 different times before i even got one. I’m newly 21 and i asked about the beer list and asked if they had any type of cider, she pointed at the menu and said, “what you see is what you get, just read it” well i’m actually visually impaired and cannot read it, so thank you! she constantly had an issue with what everyone was ordering! i ordered the beer cheese pretzel, her response “okay just so you know it’s a bland giant pretzel and basic cheese, is that okay?” like wow okay i guess it’s not your thing, but yes i want it. then a lady at my table ordered the Japanese pancake thing. her first response was “well that’s an adventurous choice” so of course this girl was concerned, she explains to her that she doesn’t like it and it’s a very weird meal. personally even if i did want that i wouldn’t anymore because she made her feel gross for wanting that! so she looks at the menu again and says, okay then can i get the carnitas tacos? the server gave a disgusted look and said “i wouldn’t, it’s not good. you should do the fish tacos” well she didn’t want the fish tacos, so she just decided to go with shepards pie instead. went through 4 different meals before this server actually let her chose what SHE wants! that is absolutely ridiculous! it was my first time at this restaurant and i can assure you we will not be back. i was disgusted by the...
