I booked online with Eden (downtown) and received a message saying Hannah would be my stylist for my appointment. She called me the day of to make sure she had supplies for my visit. I told her over the phone I just wanted my roots touched up (grown out balayage) and that I wanted Demi-gloss to be used because no one can get permanent right in my hair and I end up with “hot”/red roots. I would also be getting a trim. I came in expecting a typical appointment 1-1.5 hours. I was there for nearly 3 hours (got a parking ticket) and left with one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had AND hot roots. She used the permanent anyway, even though I asked her not to. My bangs framed my face on one side and went straight across and into my hairline on the other. The layering she did left my hair looking super thin. The next day after washing my hair my ends looked frayed like maybe the scissors were dull. With the ends frayed you could really see how choppy it was. Some of the layers went really high on one side and not the other. I messaged her to discuss the color (the terrible cut was done. No point in discussing). She was willing to fix it but I missed the time she was available (my fault). She graciously messaged me to see when I could come it to correct the color. l told her my availability and she left me on read. That was three weeks ago. Honestly, it’s just as well. I don’t trust her to touch it again. $150 after tip to trash my hair. I traveled back home for spring break and had someone I trusted recolor and cut all my hair off so I can start over. Drastic, but my hair was ruined. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever have my hair colored again. Super sad. It’ll take me about 3 years to grow my hair back out. I cannot recommend this stylist...

Chrissy has been doing my wife’s and kids’ hair for a few years now, and we’ve always had great experiences. My daughter and I both have thick, coarse, unruly hair, and this summer she had a Keratin treatment that turned out so beautifully I ended up getting one myself. I love that it smoothed my hair without compromising my natural curls, and I also enjoy catching up with Chrissy in her cozy, relaxing space. I am super thankful I did this and plan to continue!

That said, during my most recent visit I was disappointed by an issue that was out of Chrissy’s control. I came in with a bad migraine after a car accident/concussion and was really looking forward to some quiet time away from home. Unfortunately, a dog from one of the other suites barked incessantly and disruptively throughout my entire appointment. The acoustics made it impossible to ignore, and instead of being able to relax, I left more stressed than when I arrived.

I bring my own dog into professional spaces from time to time, so I fully understand that pets can coexist in these environments when they are trained and managed. But in this case, the lack of control was disruptive not only to me but potentially to other clients and professionals in the building. Beyond being a nuisance, it raised a genuine safety concern; what if the dog became reactive toward another guest, another dog, or even a child?

Chrissy did everything right and continues to do excellent work, but I feel strongly that the suite management needs to address this issue. This is too great of a space to be overshadowed by something preventable. For the sake of all clients and professionals working here, I hope steps are taken to ensure animals in the building do not cause unnecessary...

If there was an option for no stars I would have gladly chosen that instead. I have been coming to this salon for about a year now with my mother and daughter and have for the most part liked our hair maybe not the professionalism but the hair cuts and colors yes. however today my daughter went in for a very small trim went in with her hair down to her middle back and walked out with it above her shoulders. furious is not even the word for what I am feeling right now, if you want a hairdresser to completely do the opposite of what u have asked them to then ethan is your guy if you want something done the way YOU want it done I beg u please go somewhere else. I know this was done on purpose to b.c a comment was made to my daughter about how he hopes she likes her pixie cut. as a mother I cant even tell you how upset I am, for me I think women young and old carry their confidence in their face and hair and this has crushed my daughter and her confidence I will never return to this establishment and I will make sure to let everyone I talk to know not to go here either.

09-27-2019 So I did want to come back and say that although my previous experience was not great the owner did reach out to me and has since then made it right. Shes amazing she does great work and genuinely cares about her clients and took the time to hear me and my situation, shes been working on myself and has been so compassionate with the fears that my daughter now has, shes great, if you want this best she definatly is. Her pricing is a lot higher than most but you truly get what u pay for. I will actually be returning this weekend to freshen up these locks. Thanks again lindsey ur so great!!
