Go further north. This area is not good. My truck window was smashed out overnight and when I notified the front desk worker she told me “it does happen sometimes…l she also informed me that they have no security cameras. In this day and age that is not acceptable. I own and operate multiple private short term rentals and I invested in cameras for all of them. Surely a major hotel chain can afford a camera system. The rooms were ample sized but dimly lit. Sound travels through the paper thin walls and I could hear my neighbors talking. The whole overall property felt dated, the carpeted hallways were dirty, and it needs a good deep clean. They could also use a security guard if they are experiencing a pattern of burglaries.

Excellent stay. The pet friendly queen suite with kitchen was perfect. It was clean, very comfortable and was a welcome alternative to expensive AirBnb's. The staff and manager were extremely warm, welcoming, accommodating and professional. The daily included breakfast was good, with healthy options which we appreciated. The amenities; outdoor pool, hot tub, barbecues, grounds and walking trails with beautiful mountain views were lovely. A surprisingly excellent stay, so good we actually extended! My family and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was great! The man who checked us in was a ROCKSTAR! Very friendly and accommodating. The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. There was a nice complimentary dinner Monday through Wednesday which was a bonus. The breakfast was great as well. The location of the hotel is right by the mountains so the views are beautiful. The river in the back is so pretty too. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I really wanted to love this place but the countless missteps have undermined that outcome. You are greeted by cookies! Assorted at that! What's not to like?!

Members are given a discount, even if you book online at a higher price.

Way-finder signs: they are absent for the elevator, so locating the elevator is an unnecessary challenge. I passed multiple people who were impacted by not being able to locate the elevator. Clear way-finding signs would put an end to that confusion...

Breakfast: a beautiful assortment with lots of choices. However, I wanted oatmeal. It was set out unprepared. There was a oatmeal pot, I am assuming oats with water sitting on top. Sadly no one checked to see if they had actually cooked, they were not! What's that about? You set out food and don't check to see if it's done!?

Tip jar: my breakfast is free and "tip-inflation" strikes again. They did their job, but didn't go above and beyond, yet wanted to be tipped. Yet couldn't be counted on to ensure my oatmeal was prepared. We fixed our own plate, bussed our own table and yet were impacted by the choice to tip or not tip...

My room was ready when I arrived and as a IHG member I was provided an early check in. However, my room did not have any hand wash in it and I had to track down the housekeeping staff to locate it. They got it to me without an issue. However, I can't understand why something as basic as hand soap to wash my hands wasn't in my room prior to my requesting it. They provide a nice assortment of Dove products in the shower and on the sink top as a courtesy.

They also have a microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, dishes etc in your room. As well as courtesy washing machines and dryers.

Chaise lounge chair: it's amazing that they are in the room, super comfortable. It's winter in Colorado and no throw available. It's a shame not to have a throw available to further enjoy this great chair during the winter in Colorado

However, the most egregious misstep was when I moved the chaise lounge chair in my room and found feces under the chair. I am assuming it was from the pet who was previously in my room. GROSS!!!!!!!

This however is NOT something the next guess should have to deal with or even be aware of. While I would not disagree that the previous guest as the pet owner should have cleaned it up. If they do not, that would fall to the hotel to take care of and not the subsequent guest

If you want to run a "pet friendly hotel" it's completely unacceptable that rooms are not properly sanitized as part of the preparation for the next guest.

Clearly they are not!

Clearly this is not okay and as a non pet owner, I find this even more egregious! I am completely grossed out by this! I am also completely unhappy to have been put in the position to have to complain about this occurrence!

While the manager on duty did offer to change my room, she completely failed to apologize! Hospitality demands that she did!

Her failure to accept responsibility for the incident by offering an apology, makes it seem like I was being unreasonable and a difficult client. I was neither and my complaint went invalidated yet, it was completely valid!

I deserved an apology and a clean room. I would have overlooked everything else; But the feces and failure to acknowledge the validity of my concerns made it impossible to grant them a good review. The missing customer service at this location is unacceptable!

Sadly, the rest of my stay was impacted by this. I found myself concerned about the cleanliness of my room(s) the rest of my stay.

My new room did have the mountain view but it was much noisier than my previous room. It was an end room and so I was disturbed by the people coming and going from the hallway entrance. There was this very annoying random buzzing sound in my room that I never did identify what the...

This was an exceptional place to stay! We always stay at an IHG property and truthfully I didn’t consider this gem any sort of corporate duplicate, like many others. So many unique aspects - and all good ones.

The handicap room, which is why we selected it initially for the roll in shower was perfect. My mother in law was going in for surgery and needed an easy place for the night before so she could get a good shower before surgery. It worked so well for her, since at the moment she is wheelchair bound.

We all are dog friendly and seeing so many owners with very well behaved pups was nice. It was like having multiple service therapy dogs at one location, though they were only different guests dogs.

Their food service was very well done. The mornings always had some fresh fruit, eggs and a few other things. That was perfect. Then at night they also did a little evening meal which was always good and gives you the option to just be around other humans with or without interaction as each person prefers.

The most amazing thing was their holiday decorations. They are fantastic. It created this sort of ambience that you were in a sort of chalet in the mountains and just made everything warm and personable. Also caused me to drink so much hot cocoa that they had at the coffee stand - but I’m not complaining. It really hit the spot.

Every member of the staff was not only kind and helpful, they were just so nice. They had heard why we were there and the day we returned from the hospital after surgery and a couple times the following day, we were asked by several of them, how it went and if my M-I-L was recovering well. To remember the specifics behind our reason for being there and to ask after her health was so incredibly kind. Nowadays you don’t get that level of pleasant customer service very often. Their kindness was so refreshing. Which is part of the reason I wanted to write this review, so that they knew we noticed and appreciated it.

Reasonable prices and that it is so quiet and has a homey feeling - including the guests. Everyone always says hi or smiles. Guess when the staff are so nice it’s easy to make the guests respond in kind.

To try and be fair, the only negative it had for me was the fact that the pool and hot tub are outdoors and of course closed at this time of year. I will gladly forego my nightly hot tub for all the other extras this property had. I’m going to have to go back during a warmer time because it did look like a well maintained outdoor space. Sort of had that quiet mountain chalet aspect to it too.

If you need a short stay or a longer one, give them a try, it is so worth it!! I know if we were traveling for business again, this is one I’d want to put not only myself but any other employees at as well.

Thought of a bonus to mention as well - great Wi-Fi speeds and coverage. Most IHG properties only give 20mbps speed. The lowest I received here was 45 and usually was much higher. I checked often because I was so surprised by it. Made doing anything online so...

My husband and I are in the middle of a move and decided to stay on this property because my household goods won't be delivered until next month. We loved this property and enjoyed the staff, to the point that after a long stay on this site, I decided to stay one more night because I had the extra points and I wanted to rest. I kept being disturbed by house keeping that morning, which had not been the norm of my stay. They came by 3 times and each time opened the door, even though I told them through the door that I didn't need services. Each time, I was scantily clothed, which created an awkward and uncomfortable situation for me. Each time they invited themselves in, I grew more and more frustrated because their intrusions kept disturbing my rest. The third time that housekeeping invited themselves in, the housekeeper asked me what time I planned to checkout. I thought it to be a rude question, but I informed her the next day because I had made a reservation for an extra night. The interruptions died down for a few hours after I had this conversation with housekeeping and I was able to get a few hours of uninterrupted rest. Later that evening, I heard my hotel room door opening. It startled me, because my husband had gone out of town and I was not expecting any guest. Thank goodness, I had gotten out of bed and put some clothes on 20 minutes prior to this particular intrusion! It was front desk stopping by to inquire why I hadn't checked out. I explained to them that I made a reservation to stay an extra day online. He apologize and left. In the moment I became angry and felt unwelcomed. Do they not update the rooming list daily? As a guest that had stayed on this property 17 consecutive nights, I felt front desk could have given me the courtesy of a phone call to clear up any rooming misunderstanding prior to the intrusion. I felt like everyone that intruded that day treated me like a customer that was trying to steal an extra day from the hotel rather than a customer that had earned an extra day. I was so angry and so uncomfortable that got up at 1:30 a.m, finished packing my stuff up and left by 3 a.m and went home. My furniture had not yet arrived, but I was able to sleep with the peace of knowing there would not be any unexpected or unwelcome intrusions. In saying all this, I enjoyed the property the 16 days prior to the irritating experience happening. I still think the breakfast and social hour dinner, free use of Stay Fit Gym, free washer and dryer, and restaurant discounts are a great added benefit to staying in this particular hotel. I still think that the staff, for the most part, is courteous, kind, and helpful beyond words. I still think that Chenel's bubbly personality is a great way to be greeted when entering and exiting the property. She absolutely rocks! I would still would recommend this property to family and friends due to the all the great amenities and safe location, but with the added caution to use the security latch to ensure that the only time their door opens is when they...
