this place resides in a church, so beware of sunday busies. it’s got plenty of seating, both comfy and work desky. i came in on a Wednesday at 12pm and it was not busy at all. i don’t expect a lot at coffee shops, but there are certain things that make me rather…sad :( i came in and the guy working there didn’t greet me in, no biggie. but when we did speak to me it seemed rather cold. he just asked what i wanted, no smile (i wanted to flee away) and the order was very quick and abrupt. i feel like at local coffee shops the interaction you have with the barista is one of the charming and inviting parts about it. if i didn’t care about that aspect, i would be sitting at a starbucks right now. but anywaysss i didn’t much mind but then he brought out my latte in a kfnqndowj to-go cup. my man :/ you have for here cups literally on top of your espresso machine. no latte art? no passion? no love for the craft of making the coffee?? bro making me cry. so i take the coffee to my seat and give it a lil sippy sip. rich, smooth, comforting, delightful. it’s very good espresso. comes in only 12oz. and! i look around and there are people with lattes in ceramic mugs 😭 i just—ugh i wished he could have put it in a for here cup so that i could instagram it, put in a good review. yikes, i think it was just a combination of little things that made me bummed. i’d only come back for the taste of espresso. p.s....

So let me start off by saying that because it is a functioning coffee shop within a massive church building, the cozy factor is hard to nail. They do a good job, but it's hard to feel like you're at a "coffee shop," and that feel is a huge part of the coffee experience.
BUT, service was friendly and quick, and the Papau New Guniea pour over was one of the most flavorful I've had thus far in the Springs. Complex, fruity, but not too thin as can sometimes happen with lighter roasted single origin coffees. Props to Matt, the manager there, for his skill and some fun conversation at the bar.
Prices were super low compared to similar-quality competitors, and that's largely because the church it is housed in has helped a lot with overhead and rent cost, which was a neat story to hear.
I'll definitely be back on occasion for the stunning view of the mountains, great coffee, and...
Read moreThe only thing I could change about this place is their limited availability of baked goods. Popped up for a coffee and a bite around 1.30 PM on a Friday, and the only available options were gluten/dairy free muffins and a cookie. I was hoping for a croissant or something similar but I have to say that the muffin wasn’t bad though a bit too sweet for my taste. Coffee was delicious and made well. I can only have decaf and non-dairy milk and typically this kind of request equals to something bitter or sour but it was a pleasant surprise this time. My coffee was silky smooth and very enjoyable; easily the best that I had in a long time. The place itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely pay another visit...
