Store #577. Columbiana Mall, SC GM-Jared Duncan (?) First the restaurant must be under staffed. Food stilll on empty tables and floor all around. The poor night mgr was running like crazy while his staff stood around having side bar convo’s, after 45min wait we get seated at wet topped table- fine he did his best to wipe off hisself after already instructing the hostess. So, I asked our Server Terran(sp) for napkins to wipe off instead of handing it -dropped at other end of table and just watched me dry off. (We had 3 small kids)she left all our glass drinks at opposite end of table by kids. So we had get up and pass out/same with the food. Never got bottomless fries lol while we waited. The chips were lil burnt but she said they’re premade, brought us fries.-no biggie. The only fries we got was with our meal -were luke warm at best -we ate anyway seem the best we were gonna get (which was one reason we even went) kids drinks are empty - we don’t complain. After all that during our MEAL she leans on the back of the chair to inform us She had been there since that morning, worked a double been there All Day!! (our fault?) So would that be Cash or card?? Hint taken..so in my haste to get on our way left my purse On my chair - check with Mgr.. not here? Ok but can you ask your staff at least? maybe a patron took it. You’re accusing your patrons? Sir we were her last table, you even said “ she said “when SHE cleaned the table she didn’t find it” you closed shortly after so who ELSE?Told him Don’t care bout the Money just would like the purse/ belongings back- we’re OOT - HHI, SC. Never apologized but did offer to look into it with staff in the AM. I arrived the next day because no f/u call Speak to GM and down hill from there. Never cursed.or raised my voice but he was bothered/peturbed by my mere presence before I could say a word. Never apologized or shown any empathy. Started by stating, My Mgr told you last night it wasn’t here!!! Well sir, he also said he would check with the staff in the AM since most had left that evening.. he stated no one has it, (but seriously if a staff member stole why would they tell him ) I expecting him to say to them hey if someone knows anything or please turn in anonimous spot) I understand some locations have a Diverse clientele but we aren’t all the same- we don’t all live in the ghetto. so to be so dimmiissive was unwarranted.. It was Easter Weekend we just arrived in town & my 9 yr grandson prescription glasses were in there. So yes it was important to us. We chose this location and serviced your restaurant as a paying customer, it occurred in your edtablishedment that you manage and you're upset that I would make an inquiry?? He says there no cameras..so I offer a cash reward for empty purse with misc items.if its recovered. Jared-Not here! How are you so adamantly 100% certain And yall just opened? Obviously our waitress just so happened to have the day off, but $$ wast the issue I never expect it back, but now it just the principal and I really did need my Misc.items back.Hate we can never go again. Read moreI had never been to a Red Robin before last night in Columbia. We were a party of 12 including 2 children (8 and 7 and 1 under 2 years old). Just passing through and one of our group suggested this restaurant. We waited while they pushed tables together. Waitress was quick to take our order and was helpful. Our drinks came without incident. The food took an hour and a half to BEGIN arriving at the table. All the while our 15 month old grandson is crying off and on because HE’S HUNGRY. Manager comes to our table with coupons saying she’s sorry about our wait and proceeded to tell us our food was IN THE WINDOW right now… well, WHY are you here with coupons instead of some of our food? Have you not heard the crying baby out here? They come back with a small basket of fries for the baby and then a few more for the rest of the table… I ordered the A1 Steakhouse burger with bottomless house salad. No A1 on the burger first off and secondly the shredded cheese on the salad was melted. Not just on my salad, but also on one my friend’s salad. She sent her whole plate back and told them not to bring it back. I told the waitress I didn’t want the salad and to just bring me fries. I ate the $18.00 burger after adding the A1. Only thing that had any flavor was the garlic aïoli and of course the A1. Burger was cooked hard or just purely over cooked for a restaurant to call it a “juicy” burger. All the fried items were served last (chicken sandwiches, and the appetizer of cheese sticks) including the two little chicken strips for the baby which was the very last item to arrive at the table. The cheese sticks were fried so hard the cheese was nonexistent… no discount was offered for our 2 hour long meal for 2 adults and 2 children of $67.00. We gave the waitress 15% tip because we all had separate checks and we all tip on our own. It wasn’t her fault. It was the kitchens fault and the manager didn’t seem concerned that she had 12 customers waiting like that. If a 12 top and a few random tables can cause your kitchen to have customers waiting 2 hours for their food, maybe hire someone else to do the job or close the place down. Would hate to see a busy night there. 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Completely...
Read moreWe got there at 530 and were seated. Everything went well with the drink orders, but once our food orders were taken, the whole thing went bad...fast and hard. One person in my party ordered ribs, shrimp, and a salad with no tomatoes or cheese. After 30 minutes passed, we were told they were out of ribs. She then just said to double the shrimp. Another 15 minutes passed, and the was brought her order, but no one else's. The server apologized and went to "look for the rest." When he brought out the rest of the food, we told him that the salad was made wrong, and asked if it could remade, as well as informing him it took almost an hour to get our food. He said everyone walked in at the same time, and the kitchen got slammed. Really? Then how did people that came in 30 minutes after us get their food first? Was it because the manager obviously knew them? Anyway, it took another 30 minutes for the correct salad to be brought to the table, with the statement, "I'll bring you a to go box for that." Like, the waitress basically told us we were to leave. Up to this point, we were polite, and even were nice when we pointed out the amount of time it took to get our food. Needless to say, this was the end of that. Since her food was made incorrectly to begin with, and everything took almost an hour and half to be brought to the table, we demanded her salad be removed from the bill. They actually removed her entire meal from the bill, but bad service is still bad service. For the first time in my life, we left no tip. Neither the waitress nor server deserved a tip. We also left as much of a comment on the bad service as we could on the little computer. This was my first and last time to visit this restaurant. The entire experience was unacceptable, and every member of the staff that was involved needs to be retrained.
