The ONLY reason I did not give this a 1 star is because the Food (once we got it was very good). I went late morning on Tuesday about 10:30a. We sat at a dirty table (no choice cause they were all dirty). Then after about 15 min. In a slow restaurant the waitress that was busy chatting at the counters tells us (across the restaurant). I'll be with you in just moment. So, wait, Chatty Patty is our waitress? ANOTHER 20 MINUTES go by. Finally, we asked the waiter in the next section for some coffee and to order....well over 40 minutes after sitting down..... didn't think that was unreasonable. Finally, Chatty Patty comes over and asked "what we wanted" and without even a pause I said "we wanted some service if you're done with your conversation. She EVENTUALLY brought the coffee....just the coffee....no cream, no Sweeter. Never got a refill. Then the food arrives,,,,in stages.....one-waffle-at-time. Both orders had ham, she puts both pieces on one plate and places it in front of one person. We never did get our complete order, then when I ask her for the rest of our order, she get an attitude. (Because I was clearly not happy with her service). Then says shes not serving us anymore. REALLY? GIRL, your service was so bad THAT wouid have been very welcomed. The older male waitress says she was "green" if so then W.H. needs better training. And all the while the other other employees (who were chatting and working just fine), were totally blind to the neglect of her table. If you MUST have WAFFLE do NOT go herel, but if you do, make sure the brunette waitress (who typically ain't doing nothing) not you're server. If she is, then you've been warned, cause she thinks she did nothing wrong. Absolute worst service I have EVER HAD at ANY establishment. They would be smart to show her the door or provide her with MUCH MUCH, MUCH...
Read moreI am a very laid back person. So, i dont mind if i dont get fast service when employees are busy. But Here.... It was not busy and took a while before we were greeted. Once our waitress got our drink orders she went among her business and we had to ask another person (manager with no name tag) if we could get our coffees. When i asked for them our waitress (bre was in her name tag) just stared at us. Oh, before we were greeted 2 employees stood in front of us, looked at us and didn't even say a word. There are a few employees with no name tags. Employees were being judgemental of customers when they walked in. Employees were talking among them selfs and looking at people making it obviously they were talking about some of the customers. A customer walked in and sat down to wait. While she was doing so she plugged in her phone to charge. And it took the employees SECONDS to notice THAT and told her she was not allowed to do so. Really?? They noticed THAT, but having a low customer service, attitude and no name tags IS allowed?? I give this bad credit to upper management. These employees are a reflection of the leadership of this business. I've been a fan of waffle house for many year. But, the family own atmosphere if this place is gone. That is what keeped me being a customer. Not so much anymore.. It seems like just because you eat there you are there is a law that you have to tip no matter what kind of service you get. If you get bad service dont tip. Maybe if the employees dont get tips them maybe, just maybe they will sell the business and make tips. Oh, btw we were there around midnight. The overnight shift needs to be evaluated...
Read moreWe have never had a worst experience with a restaurant ever! We visited on June 4, 2023. I arrived to Waffle House at 4am with my husband and some of my family members. This was my husband and I’s first time visiting. When we arrived, we weren’t allowed to sit inside and had to place our order through the window. There were two women on shift and a male cooking. We waited over an hour and half for our food just for them to deny us our food or a refund. We were not given a receipt after they took our order on a yellow notepad. The young lady named Angel was very rude when we asked for a refund since they said that they didn’t have an order for us. We were told that we never ordered and therefore we could leave. There was also an older, Caucasian officer who told us that it didn’t matter if we called the police they wouldn’t do anything. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told there was no manager on duty. A few minutes later, the cook, who we were told name is Chris, said that he was the manager. He also said that he would not process us a refund. My husband and I are both general managers for restaurants. This level of customer service was completely unacceptable and a waste of our time. We are not native to Dallas but it definitely left a bad taste in...
