My husband and I stayed at Kasa for two nights while attending a training in Dallas. Overall, it was a great stay, but here are a few helpful things to know:
Transportation: I highly recommend taking an Uber from the airport instead of a taxi if you're trying to save money, it made a noticeable difference for us.
Check-in and First Impressions: We found the entrance in the parking garage pretty easily, but the hallways leading to the unit were a little intimidating, lots of concrete and some creepy-sounding fans. But once we got into the apartment, it was totally worth it! The space was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated.
Funny/Strange Moment: At one point, we started to wonder if the place was haunted, the bedroom TV kept turning on by itself. Turns out both the living room and bedroom TVs were the same brand and could be controlled by the same remote, so every time we turned on the living room TV, we were unknowingly turning on the one in the bedroom too. Mystery solved.
Cleanliness: The apartment itself was very clean with the exception of the knives, they had clearly been shoved back into the knife block dirty. Everything else was spotless.
Tips for Other Guests: When you leave the apartment, make sure to put your hand back over the key input panel so it fully locks, otherwise, your door might remain unlocked.
Neighborhood: It was relatively quiet at night, with just a bit of noise but nothing extreme. The only downside is that the location is a little isolated if you don’t have a car. There was only one restaurant within walking distance and no other stores nearby.
Final Thoughts: I would definitely stay here again if I was back in Dallas, especially if I had a car. The apartment was lovely, and the experience overall...
Read moreThrough gritted teeth, I leave a review of this property. I actually loved the facility. The rooms were very reasonably priced. We had a one bedroom suite for $180 a night. There was a king bed and a pullout sofa. We had a nice view of the small pool. Parking was nearby. The neighborhood left a lot to be desired. There was minimal good dining nearby. It was nice because the Dallas market was a few miles away. The big problem is with the parking. They have a four-story parking garage behind a locked gate. The parking lot was about 1/3 full. They require a parking pass on your mirror, but they only give you one. All of the parking spots are numbered, but it is not clear at check-in that you can actually park in any spot that doesn’t have a “reserved” sign on it. Unfortunately, my vehicle got towed because the placard was not on the mirror. It cost $170, which includes $120 for the tow fee and $50 for the storage fee at a lot not owned by the towing company 13 miles away. Talk about a massive inconvenience when you’re trying to leave on your last day. They couldn’t just boot your vehicle and have you pay a $100 boot removal fee. They had to tow your car 13 miles away. So, if you want to stay here, make sure to follow every parking rule to a T, because if you don’t, they will certainly tow you. I asked management for a refund, which they politely declined. I then asked for a single free night at my next stay, which they again declined. it makes me think that there must be some type of incentive for them to have cars towed from behind a locked gate with plenty of room to park. Why else would you have a tow company actively tow vehicles from such a parking lot? I would like to hear an explanation for that...
Read moreI had the most horrible experience here with my fiancée. We paid for the room a week in advance with a confirmation. We drove 14 HOURS to get to this hotel and were told our room was canceled and a refund would take 5-10 business days DURING CHECK IN TIME. My fiancée decided to book us a fun stay to get away from work and explore new states. Unbeknownst to us, they perform a background check DURING CHECK IN and that his background came back as potential risk. His background was from 17 years ago which had nothing to do with theft, assault, sex offender, or anything of that nature. We do not care about the background check being performed, we care about the timing and the poor communication of the staff. We were supposed to receive an email the day after confirmation or 3 hours before check in. We had to call to inquire about it (unprofessional) and then all this foolery followed when we were already there. We had to call multiple times after getting off the phone initially because someone would “reach out” and of course didn’t. We didn’t get any answers about a cancellation until we spoke to the 3rd person. We were stranded and felt humiliated and embarrassed. We found another hotel called Residence Inn in Addison Tx. Much better, much cheaper, extra friendly staff, more amenities, breakfast included, 24/7 front desk reception, and the same apartment style living closer to downtown. Unlike the virtual front desk idea. I would never recommend Kasa Love to anyone. They should be ashamed for how they treat their guest, who found interest and were willing to spend...
