I genuinely don’t understand how this place has so many 5-star reviews , it feels completely fake. My experience at Samad Cafe was one of the worst I’ve ever had at any restaurant.

To start, the prices are outrageous for what you get. The building is old and falling apart. The kitchen is filthy , the floors are black with grease and look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. Just walking in, I was shocked at how run-down everything looked.

The parking lot is a mess, with cars scattered around like a junkyard right at the entrance. Inside, things only got worse. There was an old dusty freezer in plain sight, and rusty, broken-down items used as “decorations.” The dining area was cluttered and chaotic and shockingly, there was a bed full of clothes and personal items in one corner, as if someone lives there.

The plates they use are old, scratched-up plastic , the kind that looks like it came from a dollar store a decade ago. The food itself? Completely undercooked, tasteless, and clearly not handled with care. I couldn’t even eat it. To make matters worse, I saw roaches crawling around and even a rat near the back of the room. It was absolutely disgusting.

This place is unsanitary, unsafe, and should not be operating. I left immediately and honestly felt sick just from being there. Save yourself the experience, avoid Samad Cafe...

My first review ever goes like this Oh My God! real Shirazi cuisine made by a loving old Persian man that he’s absolutely doing everyone a favor cooking the best dishes that will knock your socks off. It’s been more than three decades that dearest Mr.Samad has been making food here and as a customer I’m personally more than pleased spending my time & business with this amazing Gentleman! The place might be small and look a little bit rundown so please park your ego outside and let your Persian Person Inside of you enjoy the fantastic flashbacks causing by authentic Iranian Shirazee Flavors I’m a small business owner myself and I understand negative reviews will Hurt us dearly so please swallow your negative thoughts with a delicious Abali yogurt 🤠 and don’t let Gheymeh is outstanding don’t forget to add bademjoon Koobideh is the real deal Baghaly Polo Mahicheh is just WOW! This is my third time visiting this establishment and yet to try Zereshk Polo & Juje Remember this is not a place to take your date or business partner 😎but ordering takeout is your option of sharing the experience with people you care for 🇮🇷 PS: don’t forget it’s...

Samad Persian Restaurant is a true hidden treasure for lovers of authentic Persian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a sense of tradition that instantly transports you to the heart of Iran. The ambiance is cozy and elegant, infused with Persian cultural touches that make the dining experience not just delicious, but memorable.

The food? Absolutely exceptional. Every dish is crafted with care, bursting with flavor, and made from the freshest ingredients. The kebabs are tender and perfectly seasoned, the saffron rice is fragrant and fluffy, and the stews like ghormeh sabzi and fesenjan are rich, soulful, and deeply satisfying. Even the freshly baked bread and crisp salads are a delight.

What truly sets Samad apart, though, is its consistency and attention to detail. Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, you can count on a meal that feels like it was cooked just for you. It’s clear that this is a restaurant run with love, passion, and pride in Persian culinary heritage.

If you’re looking for a place where food meets culture and comfort, Samad Persian Restaurant is...

I hate writing a negative review for this place since the owner was so sweet and I really wanted to love the concept- but all these positives are so misleading. Samad Cafe cuts corners on the quality which totally ruined the entire experience. Frozen Lima beans and stale rice, Margarine instead of butter which ruined the entire flavor profile of the dish because of that mouth feel; and The broth- the meat fell of the bone and was super tender but the broth was not great. It’s a limited menu which I love. So why cut corners on the few things that you should do well on? Clearly reviews from many years ago rave about the quality. The food (and for the price) was disappointing beyond belief. $50 something for two entrees and a water and a yogurt drink (which was delicious).
