Updated: from one star to re-earning my business and 5 stars
I ALSO WANT TO MENTION THAT AS OF 9-9-19, SARA SPECIALLY CAME ON TWO DIFFERENT SAURDAYS JUST TO TAKE CARE OF MY PUP ( I LEARNED THAT ON MY VISIT AT 9-7-19 , SO THANK YOU!)
After my first review and expression of displeasure I got a call from one of the managers sara/ sarah( I hope I got the name right ) to discuss the situation and she promised to make sure that pooch patio will get it right and RE-earn my business and SURE THEY DID! Upon reaching there on sat morning sara greeted us and took the details of how I wanted the grooming or how I expected my dogs haircut to be and promise to get it done before groomer leaves so Incase if I wanted any adjustments she can get it done for me . She called me within 2 hours or so to come pick up my dog and they got it rite right this time and took notes and pics to make sure they deliver same haircut each time. I was much delighted by their attitude to fix their mistake and making sure my expectations are met. I was very satisfied with my dogs grooming , bathing and haircut and customer service delivered by her . Thank you
If I could give any less stars I would . I went there on the recommendation of a friend and after reading so many good reviews My first visit: I went in and was greeted nicely. I have detailed instructions how the grooming. When I went in to get my dog nothing was done as instructed and my dog didn’t really smelled fresh but I was more upset about grooming because they charge an arm and a leg for grooming a golden . I was asked to come back later in the week day , so there goes any respect for an individuals time even after paying a fat price for the bath and grooming you pay them . Note: staff is nice and courteous but you are not charging us for that you are charging for taking care of the dogs bath and groom
Second visit : after the first bad experience was gave it a second chance just to be sure that first day me was just an oversight and they really care about their customer Again same mistake and this time I tried to emphasis about the grooming instructions and the person at the front desk didn’t give a damm about it and upon repeatedly asking she said yeah I got it . I trusted her and when I went to get my dog same dam mistake and this time the courteous manager tried to give me a lousy free basic bath coupon ! Really ms.manager!!!! That’s lousy AF. On top of that they call you to pick up the dog after their groomer leave so if there is an problem they can blame on groomer or person who reforged your dog but manager herself doesn’t take responsibility!!!! Now a weekend 3 days in my dog smells and her hair is still not property cut( mind it my dog doesn’t play outside in dog park or roll in mud ) Giving them a second chance was my effort to trust good reviews but they actually suck !!!! This review is only for grooming and not for boarding but after two consecutive bad experience and managers inability to take proper responsibility I won’t ever board there ) Incase you are asking what could’ve been proper way to deal with it ? Perhaps don’t charge for a service that was not properly...
Read moreI am very mindful of how/where I spend my $$$ because I want to feel appreciated, seen/heard, and have a sense of reciprocity in the exchange of $$$ for products/services. Well, Pooch Patio can get my money every time … E-V-E-R-Y. I wrote a post – not directed @ them – in which I vaguely mentioned an unfavorable experience I had the first visit to Pooch Patio. The owner - April - found me and emailed me about it. It wasn’t the standard “form” response (i.e. sorry you feel that way, no one else has ever said, well, X Employee said …). NO! It was a sincere, “I saw your post and would like an opportunity to talk to you about your experience.” April continued to follow up with me until she confirmed a time her manager Sarah could call me. Sarah called when April said she would, listened actively, explained what she thinks may have happened, but ultimately took accountability and requested that I give them a chance to get it right … COMPLETE OWNERSHIP. Although I wasn’t sure that pack play was the best choice for my furbaby, her commitment to excellence felt inclusive and it drew me in. I took him back and they had a plan that they worked and he adapted. Me, on the other hand – being the helicopter mom I am – noticed an instance in which I thought my furbaby was being bullied and called them about it. Their staff acknowledged my concern and made the adjustment. My furbaby has found a new community and belonging that feels a lot like a home away from home. Customer Service, Ownership, Leadership, Inclusion and Commitment to Excellence … I say Pooch Patio is worth every...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the customer service received this morning. I was turned away from my dog’s grooming appointment, even though the error was obviously made on The Pooch Patio’s end. I called to book this appt over a week ago and was told specifically that since I wanted a grooming appt and not just a bath the soonest available was today. When I showed up with my dog, I was told I did not have a grooming appt, but a bathing appt. even though I specifically said no when asked if I wanted the same service as last time (bath only).
My husband and I are on a “staycation” in Grapevine and woke up at the crack of dawn to pick up our pup from a friend in Grand Prairie, to make it to our 8am drop off time. Only to be turned away and left to find other arrangements for our pup.
I have a goldendoodle which has long hair that easily mats. I repeatedly made the scheduler aware that I wanted a GROOM. Whether or not I wanted his hair cut short or just trimmed, I had left up to the groomer depending on the amount of matting. The employee even read me the appointment notes which stated if dematting will require too much time or money, I would like a full haircut. So it seems to me there should have been time allowed for a full groom either way. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of compromise or accountability of the staff and will not be...
