Terrible customer service. I ordered online and came to pick up my food 20 minutes later. I walk in—no one greets me, which is fine—but I stand there waiting and no one helps me. After about 10 minutes of just standing around, I finally walk up to the register, where there’s a line of people paying. I get that they’re busy, but I had already waited a while and no one even acknowledged me.
I ask a waiter for help (who honestly looked overwhelmed himself), and he can’t find my order. Turns out the guy at the register never even sent it to the kitchen. So now the waiter has to submit it for me.
At this point it’s 2 PM, I haven’t eaten all day, and I’m pissed. I walk out to my car to cool off, but then it hits me: I think the guy entered the wrong order. I try calling the restaurant—no ringtone, no voicemail, nothing.
So I walk back in and go up to the register again. The guy sees me, but straight up ignores me. He’s not helping anyone, just standing there, and still ignores me even when someone else walks up and starts talking to him. After they finish, I ask to confirm my order. He doesn’t say anything—just starts clicking around on the computer. I assume he’s checking, but then I literally see him sending my DoorDash order to the kitchen right there and then.
Then he looks at me and says, “You need to go wait,” and waves me off with the most dismissive gesture. That’s when I lost it. I raised my voice and said, “Excuse me, I want to check that my order is correct. Can you please help me?!”
He finally pulls up the DoorDash order he just submitted and goes, “Yeah, yeah, you need to wait.”
At that point, I was just done. I don’t care how good the food is—this place completely ruined my day with how disorganized and rude they were. Absolutely frustrating experience.
I will edit this post and update if my order is incorrect.
UPDATE: I forgot to edit but— got my order and...
Read moreStopped here for dinner because my daughter LOVES pho and we were on a time crunch and this is around the corner from home.
Just save your money. She got a medium pho which had about 6 slices of beef - they offer a combo of beef, brisket and meatballs and our server seemed shocked and put off that she only wanted beef and the serving size proved that. I got chicken fried rice that was comparable to Trader Joe’s frozen meals with less flavor.
The real put-off was the girl who threw paper menus at us that were hanging on by a thread because they’d obviously been used as coasters multiple times. She asked if my daughter wanted a fork for pho and I asked does it not come with a spoon? She rolled her eyes and said “there’s noodles in there” as if it was our first time ordering pho and she was none too happy when I said “that’s what the chopsticks are for”. Since our food came out 5-minutes apart, my plate was thrown in front of me (I’m sure due to my question about a spoon) and I had to get up, walk to to host stand to find their entire staff on their phones, to ask for soy sauce.
We weren’t checked on throughout our meal and the next time I saw the server was close to when we were done eating. I asked for the check because I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes before seeing someone, nor get up again to ask for something. This all happened on a Tuesday night at 6pm and we were the ONLY two customers in the building.
Being in the restaurant/hospitality industry for the last 20 years, all I can say is keep driving an extra 15 minutes. It’ll be well worth...
Read moreGreat Vietnamese Food. Pretty authentic from someone that's spent some time there with someone from there. Most won't know that even the short stackable benches in the front area are what make it more aithentic. First time Ive seen them in a US Vietnamese Restaurant, too bad they couldn't take over the sidewalk outside with them too, but it doesn't look like the neighborhood isn't quite ready for that. Weekends are not packed like all the Texas like establishments in the area. Anyway i suggest the Viet style chicken wings, spring rolls and stir fry seafood flat rice noodle it reminds me of a similar Chinese dish that id get back in Philadelphia. I wonder if they ever would consider Bo Kho? If made right, it would probably be incredibly...
