I’m honestly very proud and excited that an Indonesian restaurant has opened here in DFW, one of the few that exist in Texas as a whole. Kudos to the family who own this restaurant as it is not an easy feat.

I had a very good experience here with staff and I love the interior and decor of the restaurant. More of my criticisms rest with the food themselves.

We ordered the batagor, mie ayam, bakso, soto betawi, soda gembira, es kelapa, and es teler.

The es were tasty and good, my only complaints is that the es teler had no jackfruit despite it being in the description (and a distinctive ingredient for es teler) and that they came out after most of our food when usually it should be the other way around.

For the food, I feel a bit confused on why kale is used on the mie ayam. Utilizing bokchoy or yuchoy which would most match the sawi that you find in mie ayam in Indonesia. I feel like those would not be too shocking for the foreign tongue and be more culturally accurate. I think the flavor of the ayam was lacking in kecap and kurang gurih.

The soto betawi was good but in my opinion kuahnya bisa lebih kental dan gurih. And I think it would be better taste and cost wise to use beef instead of beef tongue in the soto, or at least add it alongside.

The bakso kuah was lacking in beefiness and also kurang gurih. It seemed like most of my bakso was urat and no polos bakso.

The batagor was mainly lacking in the saus kacang. Terlalu berminyak dan ada rasa wangi2 gitu tapi bukan wangi rempah. I also think the plating could be changed up to look for appetizing but to also preserve the crunch of the batagor instead of getting soggy.

Sorry for the long review. I was a underwhelmed with the food here since it didn’t match how I’m used to these foods tasting in Indonesia. Saya ngerti kalo mau bikin rasa nya lebih ke lidah orang2 sini tapi buat saya kayaknya jadi terlalu beda dari rasa aslinya. Despite that, I don’t regret coming to try the food because I love supporting Indonesian business.

Muda2han owner bisa pake review ini untuk perbaiki resep2 makanan nya. Sebelumnya maaf kalo review ini seems nggak terlalu positif, tapi cuman mau kasih masukan biar lebih baik. I hope success for your business...

The service was excellent, the owner's husband was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. This was our first time ever trying Indonesian food, we certainly weren't disappointed. The place made us feel welcomed and we were recommended choices that the co-owner believed we would like. We had freshly brewed tea upon request, the Risoles Egg rolls, (they were very tasty and unique, I've never had an egg roll like it before. Tasted like stewed chicken, very flavorful.) Nasi Goreng Kampoeng, (this dish was like a chicken fried rice, very flavorful, well seasoned and loved the different textures, the hala chicharrons were light and crunchy and paired very well with the dish.) and Nasi Goreng Rendang.(pretty spicy but super flavorful, it left a slight tingle in my mouth that I love so well with eating spicy food. Loved the texture and the taste of the beef.) We were also offered some stewed beef to try, that beef was extremely soft, I heard that they slow roasted it for days. Very nice flavor, especially paired with their shrimp chili sauce, that just tied the meat very well. The owner then gave us dessert to try, free. (Martabak Manis, this fluffy treat was like eating like a waffle sandwich with chocolate, peanut and sweetened condensed milk as the filling. Very sweet and very tasty, it was warm and gooey and just tasted exquisite.) We came in hungry and went out full and satisfied, the portion sizes of the entrees were pretty decently large. I would definitely recommend Bali Street Cafe to friends and family in the area, it's certainly a unique and wonderful experience that you don't see too often in...

Kept hearing nothing but good things about this place so before leaving Texas decided to stop by…Thank God we did!

Absolutely fantastic, 10/10 food and service… the biggest issue is just finding out what you will like out of all the yummy options (especially if you never ate Indonesian food before), don’t be scared to experiment but definitely ask for recommendations based off of your preferences. Went on my birthday, didn’t even tell him it was my birthday and the owners made myself and my family feel so special.

Family owned business and they were very down to earth and took the time and patience to explain everything and give near perfect recommendations off of what we told them we liked. Very real and sweet people and really delicious food. You can tell they really love what they do and it really shows in their food.

My husband is one of the pickiest men on earth and after his first time eating Indonesian food period here… he said he absolutely loved it!! And is actively looking for Indonesian spots back in our state. If it’s your first time trying “Indo” food or you just want a break from the same old same old….I’d highly recommend Bali street cafe. They lived up to the hype… without a doubt will be returning whenever we find ourselves in the...

🇮🇩 Bali Street Cafe is the first and only Indonesian restaurant in DFW — and you know I’ve been waiting for this my whole life! This spot is family owned and the owners are one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet with complete knowledge about the Indonesian culture, its background, heritage and cuisine real well. Coming in the restaurant I already feel like I’m part of the family, that’s how welcoming they are! All the food served from appetizers to desserts are fantastic — the rendang is so mouthwatering! Plus make sure to try the Martabak which pro tip: should be ordered ahead of time since it’s made so fresh. I already feel like coming back soon to try some other items on their menu (or maybe get the same spread). Check out and support this small business located near Dallas Love Field Airport! We ordered the best of the best: 🔥 Risoles - $7 🔥 Empanada (rendang) - $7 🍲 Empek2 - $11 🍜 Mie Jawa - $15 🍗 Ayam Lengkuas - $17 🔥 Sate Ayam (3 / 5) - $10 / $15 🥩 Rendang - $17 🍞 Martabak Manis - $15 🥕 Vegetable Fritter 🥤 Soda Gembira - $5 🥤Cendol - $7 🥤Es Kelapa Muda -$6
