Ok, so 4th of July my family and I decide to go en enjoy the day at bahama beach water park, after that we were looking for a place a take a quick shower specially the kids because they're hair smells abit of a combination of bleach and pee from the pools, so we spot the ROYAL INN ANS SUITES with a huge sign that reads $25 and up....So I walk in the lobby was smelly and I didnt pay attencion cause we were gonna use the shower only, so I ask the indian or Pakistani guy for a $25 room he reply that those rooms were already taken anf he had only $35 rooms, at that momen were a little late for the time frame we need it to be in arlingting for the fireworks, so I agree on get the $35 room he pointed the room and I immediately took my family in , t o be honest with you as soon as my son walk in he vomited!!! This room was soo bad soo horrible that I cannot describe with words, the beds had bedbugs I didnt care cause I need the shower only, I ask my wife to keep the door open and to bath the kids quickly, she went into the bathroom and came back out and refuse to bath them there, the tub was disgusting, the shower courtain from half down covered completely in black fungus moold, the toilet was worst than any gas station , the floor had some poo on it and. Besides all the details above I cannot tell you how nasty this was, so I took my family out and went to ask the clerk to return my money because the rooms were not in any way acceptable, he didnt said a word and point me a small sign on the window "no refunds" I feel completely rip it, I ask to speak with the manager and he said was not available, I then ask for my money or I will call the police, I knew police can't do a tjing cause this was a civil matter and they don't get involved. But I use this strategy to try yo get my dinero back, when I saw me dialing, he then offer me another room he said was a $50 room but was willing to give to me for the $35 at this point I knew I will never see my money back so I accep the "deal" he then took me to another room much more acceptable but still dirty and stinky, I forward the family into the room and leave the door open while wife wash out the kids. We all took just a shower with flipflops on cause the water at the end of the tub was not running fast enough. We check out 17 minutes after, to never ever in my life come back to this awful place. Don't even bother to check the rooms this place is diagusting!!! Iam not just a mad person but I'm advising you to avoid this place at all cost. Honestly they shouldn't be in businesses at all. I will show my pictures and my complaint to the hotel...
Read moreIt's not the Statler,Hilton,Stoneleigh P. or Four Seasons by any means. Older 'Freeway Motel' in a iffy at best neighborhood close to where Dallas & Duncanville come together. Tricky to actually get into due to bad planning of freeway exits, you'll need to know the exits & streets. Doesn't look like much, but it's not the worst place I've been travelling. Probably built back in the '70s by the paint & decor, could use a remodel soon just due to age, wear & tear? Didn't see any 'creepy crawlies',but I had bug spray ready if they showed? Room service every day about 11-12:00,as a 3rd shifter they always kept waking me up knocking!! (lol) Lot's of places to eat nearby, but also close to a near abandoned shopping mall. Stayed there due to my home catching fire and being rebuilt and being convenient to both my job and going to my house to check on the work being done. Only complaints I'd really have are (1) the faucet in my bathtub leaked bad,it sprayed water outside the tub/shower (2) it felt like there might have been a loose floor joist (I was on the 2nd floor) in one place (floor 'creaked' and felt as if not as solid right there) and (3) which is actually kind of funny...the door locks and handles worked backwards?? (Up to open, locked position is what normally would be unlocked on the deadbolt?) TV channel selections were just so-so as well, but also not a big TV watcher? Wi-Fi also a bit weak as well. All said,if you need a cheap place quick,(Like if your house catches fire!) and you aren't super picky,it's not as bad as a lot of places I've seen. Just be sure to...
Read moreWhen I pulled into the parking lot the first thing that caught my attention was how dilapidated the place looked. It was really run down. There was a man with about 5 small children walking out and I stopped and asked him if the place had roaches. He said yes. He said most of the rooms probably had them as there were many people living in the hotel on a permanent basis. This place wanted $50 a night for the room. That's just $10 bucks or so cheaper than Motel 6 and a few other nicer hotels. At least Motel 6 has newly renovated rooms in many of their hotels.
I also asked the guy what was the weekly rate out of curiosity and he said most of the people he knew along with himself were paying $150 to $170 a week. I knew the woman would quote me more when I called (I'm told I sound very educated and corporate and because of this I routinely get quoted higher prices than others) and true enough she quoted me $250.00 for a weeks stay. Close to $100.00 more than what the others were paying. I sat in the parking lot and decided to call other hotels. When I was driving away I saw the man I had spoken to earlier about the weekly rate and I told him the woman in the office had quoted me $250 for a week. He was dumbfounded. He said "$250.00? Really?". I told him I knew she would charge me more because of how proper I sounded.
All in all I decided not to stay. The roaches turned me off and honestly many of the negative...
