I joined Concord in February of 2017. Today is Father's Day and Pastor Carter preached a sermon on the stages in the life of a man. I was reminded of what I was deprived of growing up and it made me very very sad. But Pastor Carter picked my spirits up at the end of service. (It's bringing tears to my eyes as I sit here and think about it) This past semester, I attended Mountain View. Pastor Carter spent some time with a group of our church members while they were in a conference in Atlanta. (Yes, Pastor Carter went to Atlanta. I don't know if he had other business there or not but he did put time aside to spend with those members. One of them was my mama. I saw he had posted the picture on Instagram. So the next Sunday I just went to introduce myself to him and let him know I was Sis. (so and so)'s son. We're just making conversation and I ended up letting him know I was in school. He told me to let him know how I did so I'm like "Bet." At the end of the semester I came to him again and told him how I did. This was in May. Well today, June 17, 2018, at the end of service he told all the college students to stand up so I stood up. How about he recognized me out of all the students who stood up and congratulated me in front o the whole congregation. Keep in mind this is 10:00 service, this most packed of the three services. My sadness INSTANTLY went away. (The cute girl in front of me turned around and smiled, too lol) His name is Bryan L. Carter, servant of God. Kuddos,...
Read moreI'll start off by saying we just moved to the area and ate looking for a church home. This was my husband's first time in a church of this size so I was very excited to share that with him. We got to church a bit late and it was a little bit confusing to get around but every one was very helpful and nice. I cannot say anything about how I liked the children's church because it was too late to bring my son in but it looked really nice. Will be on time next time. Looked like he missed out on some fun. The service was so great and moving. It is a really huge church but it still had a very humble presence to it. The pastor was great and it didn't go on too long. I really loved it. Only sad part was when we got back to our car it had been vandalized. Not really happy with how security treated my husband or the situation but the police lady was nice. Overall I still loved the church and want to give it another try. I think your family would like it too. Not going to let a random act...
Read moreGreat church that strives to serve the Lord. I love how they make you feel like family. You can see how much they welcome people, love on people, and strive to SERVE the community (i.e.: food pantry, evangelism teams, scholarship opportunities, etc.). Thank you Miss Robbie for being a great LIGHT at Concord, one of the sweetest woman I met at Concord in the Welcome center and the area to join Concord as a family. Pastor Carter and Stephanie Carter, as well as their kids are a beautiful-loving family. These people love God and love people! Thank you for doing both with excellence. I enjoy the Young Adults Bible Study, they are so sweet in brining us food sometimes and I think that helps people, especially those coming out of work. Super-kind staff and leader, Trip Lee, (Young Adult leader) is amazing! Thank you all for your service, those in the eye of the public and those that are not seen, your work does not go...
