JJ Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Dallas

I would like to post publicly about a visit to JJ's fish on Camp Wisdom. On 06/18/20. I ordered 2 Fish Steak Dinners. I first asked if I could order 1 with the Bone and one without the bone. I was told Yes. I made the order for a Special occasion my friends Birthday. Upon unwrapping our food I found that JJ'S had changed my order from 2 FISH STEAK Dinners, one with the bone and one, without the bone to: 1 with the Bone and 1 fillet of fish for the other order. The fillet of fish had a very tough thin layer of skin, that could not be chewd. I had to eat the fish out of the center of the skin.

I had a plate full of this thin fish shells after trying to eat what I could. I had not had any breakfast it was after 12:30 pm. I would have had to leave my friends house and return again. I made the call to JJ'S and told them what happened, and I was told to bring the evidence in, and that they would replace my order with the correct order, The Fish steaks would be with the bone. Because it Does not come without the bone. They apologized for not clarifying this. I arrived after waiting in my car for 15 mins. Only to be told that they could ONLY replace 2 pieces of my 3 Piece order because most of the fish was eaten. I told them that this was POOR SERVICE, after #1. They gave me the wrong order. Fish fillet instead of Fish Steaks. #2. After admitting to their mistake and promised to replace my order. They DID NOT. I brought them PROOF, A plate Full of Tuff, Fish skins that could not be chewd. It was not a good visit. I had been coming there for quite some time and had been satisfied. But NEVER again after...

My husband and I purchased three plates a fish platter with 2 fish fillet with 3 wings,Fish Nugget platter,6 piece wing platter, Strawberry cake, Banana Pudding,Peach Cobbler.The food wasn't fresh and our bread was hard the peach cobbler was full of crust with no peaches and dry,the banana pudding was watery,the strawberry cake was delicious but that was the only thing that I enjoyed.My husband and I will not be purchasing anything else from this place it's not the same.I have attached a picture of my plate from JJ's the food look good but taste terrible.This place is not the same my husband said that you could have cooked this at home.I will be going to my favorite fish place on Singleton in West Dallas across from Jerry's Super Market if you won't fresh and hot fish try their fish and he is friendly and you will not have to wait for 30 mins.The name of the place is call Whiskers Fish Place they have the best fried fish and food go try it you won't be disappointed.. One star because JJ's is serving Swai/Basa CATFISH a Vietnamese fish. There's a huge difference between flavor, texture and price. Swai /Basa is a white fish imported from Vietnam. Swai/Basa has been found to breach standards for drug residues and to contain potentially pathogenic bacteria.

Swai/Basa has a mild flavor and firm texture. The meat looks mushy, taste mushier and does not have the stringy meat that catfish does. North American Catfish is fluffier and has several ridges in the meat when fried.

Swai/Basa is popular due to its low cost and wide availability. The grocery store sells a huge bag of Swai/Basa Vietnamese CATFISH for the same price as JJ's 3 piece catfish dinner.
