I would rate it negative if I could. It's a poorly managed business which is surprising for the area. We were there for a little over 3 months while relocating and looking for a new house and our room was cleaned once in the first 3 months. I kept it clean and changed our own sheets weekly so I didn't mind at first but then I mentioned that our floor hadn't been swept in weeks besides me using a paper towel to wipe dirt up myself, and I was basically told I was a liar and that my husband had been refusing cleaning services while I was at our old house packing. I had to show proof on our family 360 app that he was not in the building at the times that the maid claimed in writing that he answered the door and told her no. My husband leaves for work every day at 6:50 and cleaning doesnt start until around 9. They have this all on camera as well. I had to remove our shower curtain and exchange it at the desk myself because it was covered in black mold. The manager Amy has zero control over her employees, who smoke right at the doors, shout and drink until 2 am right outside guests windows, and make sarcastic snide comments about guests children. Unsupervised kids running up and down the halls until midnight also kept us up as well as woke our children more often than not. My husband's key didn't work one night when he arrived around 7, so he used the after hours phone to get the person on call to come to the desk. Long story short, after an hour of lies and talking to corporate five times between us, the woman who was supposed to be working sent down a CHILD, a little girl who was 10 or 12, to let a grown man into a locked hotel all by herself just before 8 PM. She had the master key to the building. I have no idea why anyone would put a child in that position. She told my husband that the girl on call was at Walmart and her mom was sick or something to that effect. Then he had to wait again because his key still didn't work, so the lazy employee on call had to get up and come make him a new room key. His dinner was ice cold by the time he got into his room, but of course no one cared. I was told we could get some kind of reimbursement for his dinner and our constant troubles while we were there, but of course we never heard back from Amy about her promises, even though she assured me she had my contact info. Amy was nice to my face, but obviously didn't care enough to actually fix anything or keep her promises. The front desk staff will process payments and make keys with zero eye contact and nothing more than a grunt. The beds are not comfortable at all and the pillows are like the cheap flat ones from Walmart. I have never been so happy to leave a place and know that I will never return. I felt like scum every time I had to pull into the...

We booked 2 rooms through Expedia for a one-night stay on June 26, 2020. About two hours after check-in the air conditioner in our room stopped working. The hotel was full - so they were not able to move us to another room. It was June in Alabama - no a/c was not an option - so we checked out. We were told by the front desk that they could not give me a refund since we went through Expedia. So, we called Expedia the following morning - they told us to give them 3-5 days and they would be back in contact with us. We waited and never were contacted. We then disputed the charge with our credit card company. Expedia told our credit card company to please have us contact them and we would get our money back. We have called Expedia multiple times and each time they put us on hold, call the hotel, and are either told no, we cannot have a refund or we have to wait for a manager to be on duty.
Expedia has finally given up and said there is nothing more they can do. Monday, I called the hotel myself and was told the manager was out but would call me back that afternoon. Nothing. Yesterday, I called and spoke with someone that said they were the manager and that Expedia has never called them. She told me to give her a few minutes to call Expedia and she would call me back then. That was just about 24 hours ago and still no callback.
Maybe she wrote my number down wrong - so I have called the hotel front desk back yesterday and today and each time my call goes to voicemail. Strange, huh?! I am now on hold with the corporate office! I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK - I WAS NOT ABLE TO STAY AT YOUR HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The condition of the rooms? Deplorable! Pubic hairs ALL over the bathroom, brown stains on walls, stained bedsheets. HORRID!!!!!
Sleep in your car before you stay here. I will update once corporate answers the phone….I am...
Read moreVery disappointed experience. The hotel manager Amy, was very disrespectful, rude, had a real nasty attitude. Constantly adding fees. refused to honor the rate offered on their online website (woodspring.com) and had no explanation for why. Stayed their from June 2021 to January 2022. During the time, The rate of the room stayed at the price of 349$ A week which is still offered online, right now, but when I simply asked why certain fees were being charged, or why she was trying to give me a different rate, she said I can grab my things and leave the premises, on 3 different occasions, this has happened, their corporate office even said I didn't have to leave, but just for asking about extra fees, isn't the customer always right? Or if a price is online they should honor it? Not this lady, bad customer service. Moral of the story she wanted to change the rate to 479$ a week. The hotel has roaches in the rooms and halls, I guess you gotta pay their rent for staying there too.. the hotel had a slow elevator, the water took over 30+ minutes to warm up, wifi was terribly slow, always had a bad fishy smell everywhere in the hotel. The hotel manager, Amy had a constant bad attitude, treating the guests disrespectfully, which multiple guests said the same thing about her, how did it end? We had to leave in the middle of our stay, with no refund, and no real explanation for why we had to leave, all I did was ask about an extra $5 fee. I told her if she kicks me out, me, my family and my cat would be homeless and no place to stay, also we gave them 404$ two days before.. we got kicked out, with no refund. She honestly said she could care less. And only gave me 2 hours to grab everything and leave. What a way to treat a guest that's paid over 10,000$ to stay...
