ZERO ZERO ZERO! The umbrella haired old lady with glasses and green long nails was immediately shuttered when a brown Asian woman walked through the doors at 2am to check in to her already paid room! She tried to ignore me like I was a crackhead that just walked in assuming I couldn’t afford to stay the hotel, I informed the lady I literally just stayed at this same hotel a few months ago and never had an issue and she continue to press that I may have been confused with another hotel because why would I be able to stay there right? She finds my reservation and replies “oh, you do have a reservation here” it’s 2am. I just drove 11 and a half hours and all I want is to lay in bed before I head out to work. She asks to see my card and I provide her with the card I used which is my company card! The same company card I used when I stayed there a few months prior!!!! I never had this issue and was always asked about the verification where I would provide my business card for the company I work for which not only matches the name on the credit card but it matches my ID, she not once asked me for that and stated there was absolutely nothing she could do and then called her manager who apparently told her to tell me that I couldn’t stay there! Is that the kind of business you run now?! Because I never had this EVER happen to me before let alone the same hotel I’ve stayed at before. Ridiculous! It’s so sad how openly racist workers and their managers can be! But your little brains can’t comprehend that it’s because of racist people like you and your manager , that this world can’t be a better place! Horrible service, would not recommend, and I’m sure she lied but she said her name is Jenny. Shame on this hotel for having such openly racist employees!
I walked out of the lobby to try and call someone else who could help me NOT be stranded and while on the phone with the hotel company line explaining to her my situation she says “oh your reservation was canceled” and I said okay well I’ve been standing here talking to you this whole time, I didn’t cancel. In fact I’m trying to go in right now and sleep?” And the nice lady just continues to apologize for the racist front desk lady’s actions. Very unfortunate situation to be forced into after a 11 and a half hour drive. I will never stay at a laquinta again, it is 2024. When will you old white people realize that times have changed! You can’t be racist on the low anymore, let’s bring it all to light and see how long you can last in...
Read moreThere were so many issues,I don't know where to begin. Upon entry of the room, a strong musty odor just punched us in the face. I assume the cleaning lady tried to air it out because, when my family and I arrive the door was open. Which made us feel very uncomfortable.( Why was the door just open )
First, I will like to point out how unsafe our room was. The lock on the room had clearly been forcible broken off and then re-attached. (Barley hanging on the door)You can see the plaster around the lock. The bathroom latch was broken off also, as if someone had been previously attacked in that room. Also the sink was cracked.
The bath tub had a dirt ring around the tub, which grossed us out. I had to personally reclean the bathroom to feel comfortable enough to use it. The sheets on the beds had holes in them. The beds were extremely uncomfortable to sleep in because the mattresses were so lumpy and worn out. I sunk in the middle when I laid down. ( I only weighed 135lbs)
I was upset to find out about the $10.00 per night parking fee ,they change. The front desk lady told me all hotels charge but that was a lie. We checked the surrounding hotels and they did not charge. Last year, we stayed at the Stay bridges on the same street and they didn't charge for parking.
Besides the lumpy and worn out mattress, it was difficult to get a good nights rest because, it was so noisy. The walls are so thin we could here everything going on in the hall and in the rooms next door. There was so much activity in the hotel throughout the night. We were awaken constantly by doors slamming and feet stomping the halls. It was the worse night's sleep for my entire family.
The breakfast was horrible. They have no other meat options for people that don't eat pork or those that are vegetarian. 30mins into breakfast they ran out of eggs . My family and I were tired of waiting for more eggs so, we just left and headed to Denny's.
The walls are patched with tape and painted over. I attached pictures of that.
On our first night, the front desk lady was rude to my daughters when they tried to purchase snacks. She initially ignored their presence and then lied about the computers not working. Another employee by the name of Hunter assisted them when my husband went downstairs. Hunter was a nice employee and was the only thing good about the stay with LaQuinta. Wish I had previously read the reviews before booking. I will never...

The hotel seems like it would be moderately upscale but it needs some repairs. The elevators are not great, the floors are broken, they are very slow and they rattle. When we got to our "original" floor the key would not work, I called the front desk and they realized it was the wrong room and sent us down one floor. We got inside and around the top latch of the door was cracked like someone had tried to rip the door open. There was a boxed up bassinet in the closet with dirty diapers inside. The shower had rust along the bottom pan area. When I reported the dirty diapers to the front desk they moved us down another floor. This room had half of the electornics unplugged (we had to figure out how to correct all of this on our own, to inlcude the smart TVs) and one of the AC units did not have a working thermostat. There was no hand soap, the only samples in the room was one body soap bar and one bottle of shampoo. No extra blanket or pillows for the pull out bed and only 2 towels dispite having booked the room for 5 people (the original room also had these same issues). During our second day, we opened the door to the room and the handle came off in our hands. My husband took the kids to the pool while I waited in the room for someone to come fix it, no one did. My husband had to go back and request someone to come help after they left the pool over 2 hours later, while I had been alone in the room waiting, and they sent someone fromt he front desk with a screw driver to fix it.
Additionally there were other things just inconvinient, the door keys should have provided access to things like the pool after hours, entry to the outter doors that are locked 24-7 per signage ect. and they do not work. Breakfast was mediocre. The hallways smelled in general of suage at random times.
I paid roughly $600 for 2 nights and I honestly am unsure this was worth it. It is very pretty, the lobby is gorgeous, the rooms look like they are pretty until you get to the broken things, and they are spacious as far as hotels go. But the rest of the issues were difficult...
