Strike one: before booking I called to ask about the shuttle. I was told the shuttle runs every 30 minutes from the airport. When I landed, I called again asked again. I was told the shuttle runs every 30 minutes from the airport. Then ask when the next shuttle will come 3 PM. I arrived at the shuttle location 25 minutes early. 3 PM comes and goes. I was coming from a colder state, fully dressed. It was so hot. I felt like I would pass out. I called and inquired about the shuttle again. The girl on the phone called caught an attitude with me for not knowing its on demand saying I had to request it. And I said OK but I called you guys twice and I was told different. Then she said it would come in ten minutes… 25 minutes pass and the older gentleman waiting with me looked as if he would Pass out from the heat. The shuttle never came so I got on a shuttle to a different hotel that wasn’t to far from the hotel then walked. I got to the hotel spoke to the manager more concerned about the older people waiting. He apologized and said this was an issue that’s been happening a lot.
Strike 2: after waiting in the heat for over an hr after a long flight all I wanted to do was watch tv. The tv wasn’t working no matter what I did and when it did turn on it kept flickering and was muted unable to unmute. I called down they immediately changed my room…. The tv in the new room didn’t work as well. I called down again. The front desk girl came up to fix it. Wiggled some wires and tells me multiple other guest are having problems with their tv. Tv works for ten minutes she leaves. I set up Netflix the tv freezes again still logged into my account and doesn’t work for the rest of my stay.
Strike 3: little hairs all over the bathroom floor and what looked like blood on a towel.
Strike 4: the day before leaving I was told I’d have to sign up for the shuttle back to the airport. Even though I was told that to the airport it indeed came every 30 minutes. I sign up and get a slip for 5Am I go down early to check out and showed my slip and was told I was not entered on the list for the shuttle 🧐even though I had the slip. It’s now after 5am because it did not come every 30 minutes like they said and she’s now entering my name to the list and says she will call the guy. Even though there was already a woman waiting outside for the shuttle before 5am he still did not come. So yeah I won’t be...
Read moreThis hotel is perfect for families flying in and out of Denver. We had a studio room with a king bed, pull out sofa couch with a living room area and desk/tv area, a spacious immaculate bathroom with a shower and toiletries attached to the wall, a mini kitchen with full fridge and freezer, sink, dishwasher, sink, silverware, small stove, microwave, bar counter with two stools, 4 wine glasses, 4 regular glasses, 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 bowls, 4 coffee mugs, a coffee maker, paper towels, small cutting board, mixing spoons, measuring cup, a few pots and pans, and a pasta strainer.
We arrived late on our first night there and were very excited about being able to conveniently purchase Lean Cuisine in the lobby and then warm it up in the microwave. It was nice to have a hot meal while getting our babies to bed as quickly as possible.
The complimentary breakfast with waffle makers, scrambled, eggs, sausage, cereal, milk, juice, yogurt, toast, etc. is always a favorite of ours and makes traveling with babies easy.
We were very happy that the hotel was able to provide a Pack n Play (a necessity while traveling with babies). Even though we requested the pack n play to pretty please be in our room upon our arrival since we were arriving late, it was not. We asked in our initial request when booking the room, a follow up email after the room was booked, and then even called the hotel when we got off the plane to pretty please ask again, and yet it still wasn't there. This is a common problem we face while traveling domestically that I wish hotels in the United States could figure out how to fix. We never have these issues when traveling internationally. When we travel internationally, we simply request the pack n play or crib at the time of booking and never have to ask again and it's there for us when we need it. We stayed at this hotel again on our way back into Denver before flying home and arrived late and yet again the pack n play wasn't there when we got into the room. When we are stressed and shuffling the best we can to get our babies to bed, having to wait for the pack n play just adds to the stress and anxiety. As mentioned above, this problem isn't just at Residence Inn's we have stayed at. We have this problem at nearly every hotel chain we stay at...
Read moreNot up to Marriott standards. Chose this hotel because we had an early flight the next morning. Arrived at 9:30pm to check in. Requested a 5am shuttle. They said “I’m sorry…that shuttle is full.” I asked about taking an earlier shuttle and they told me those were full too. I asked about a later shuttle. Yup. Full.
I had specifically called this hotel prior to booking (several weeks ago) to ask about the morning shuttle service and they told me it would be “no problem”. I asked the lady at the desk who was checking us in about the shuttles being “full”…assumed there must be some kind of reservation system I was unaware of. I told her no one told me about making a reservation for a shuttle when I called the hotel to ask a few weeks prior. She stated that you have to make a reservation at check in. I said…”Ok…I’m checking in. I’d like a reservation for the shuttle you said you’d provide me to the airport…”. She replies…”Sorry…all the shuttles are full.” She was snarky and didn’t seem to care. When I told her I was very disappointed she said, “Sorry sir. I hope you have a nice stay with us.” I guess that’s what you say when you really don’t care at all if a guest has a nice stay…after he is clearly frustrated that the hotel did not deliver what they promised.
We are Titanium members and have traveled the world staying at Marriotts. This Residence in is obviously poorly managed. Examples:
2). the carpet in our room was torn
3). the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain
4). the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in for a Marriott property. I was told the hotel was “new” but it felt shabby and run down. I’ve had much better beds in a Best Western. I have a bad shoulder and couldn’t even sleep since the bed was a concrete extra firm cheapie hotel bed.
Overall a very bad experience. We just cancelled our future reservation to this property (was scheduled for later this month) and won’t stay here again. We are rebooking at a different...
