Jake N' Ivy's B&B — Hotel in Dover

If we could rate our stay and correspondence a “10” we would! Naomi was so pleasant both on the phone while making our reservation as well as in person. We had to change our dates due to the impending Hurricane Helene possibly coming through our area. She was very sympathetic and accommodating.||The home was pristine and gleaming. I believe we could have eaten on the floor. She provided us delightful cinnamon rolls on our first morning as well as jams, milk, fruit, cereal, coffee,waters and bread. The beds were so comfy. We slept very nicely both nights. The home was very well furnished and stocked with plenty of towels and bedding. For those who need to do laundry they are there for your use as well as an ironing board and iron. ||I simply can’t say enough good things about our experience. We’d definitely stay again if available when traveling to Amish...

The B&B is a stand alone building with four units and a shared kitchenette. Two units share a veranda. The cinnamon rolls are top quality. Fruit and cereal are also on hand. The rooms were large, immaculate with impeccable decor representative of the area. There was no TV which made it difficult to plan daily activities. We also noticed plumbing pipe noise and a/c noise at night. Extraordinary service. The "shared kitchenette" stock with refreshments and snacks was first class. We admired a painting in the room and Naomi gave it to us. Who does that? It was my first visit to the area so I didn't appreciate the convenience of the location until we had been there a while. We really enjoyed our stay. I think the little glitches (no TV, night noises) nagged at us because everything else...

Clean room. Close to town but not too close. Buggies going by Sunday morning. Love that sound.|Everything was just as advertised. The site says no carbon dioxide detector...not to worry there are fire alarms in each room that went off at 4:25 am. Got up and checked outside, smelled for smoke, after 5 minutes they all stopped. Not sure what caused them to go off but went back to bed with no more interruptions. |Price is hard to beat for a place to sleep and not be in a hotel. |Will definitely stay here...
