Let me start off by saying that we loved this place so much we spent 6 and 1/2 hours here... I'm not joking. We were on vacation and our rental car broke down so we literally were stuck at this waffle House but that wasn't a bad thing.... I'm only just beginning. I must say that the service and the food was very good. I've never had a pecan waffle before and it was mighty tasty. Eggs were cooked to perfection, and what you guys do to hash browns is amazing! I want to give a special shout out to the lady who took care of us the majority of the time that we were there. Ava, thank you so much for making us basically feel like family. Thank you for giving my son money to put into the jukebox so that we can play the Amazing Waffle House songs over and over and over... LOL! Thank you to you and your partner in crime actually I can't remember his name I'm sorry but he did a wonderful job too, and a pretty good cook if I might say so myself. Being here for so long we had breakfast and we also had lunch which consisted of Patty melts which were very good. The hospitality that you all showed towards us was amazing. You knew how to take a bad situation and just make it comfortable. We have decided that every May 30th no matter where we are if we're all together or not as we get older will be Waffle Day and no matter where we're at we will have waffles and think of our friends at the Waffle House. I would also like to give a shout out to the amazing man who followed us back to our hotel to make sure that the car was able to make it and that we got there safely, Ava please give your dad a hug and tell him again thank you so much. I know that this is a different kind of review but I wanted you all to know how this particular Waffle House went over and above to take care of this customer and her family. If you like my reviews please give me a thumbs up and consider following me I will always give open and honest reviews, to help you decide if you should spend your hard-earned money...
Read moreWaited 1/2 hour just to get 2 sweet teas. Sat at counter. We came in about 10 pm after a family of 10. While server was taking their order cook (who loudly didn’t want to be there) stood in front of us for our first 10 minutes, complaining to anyone that she should’t be there and was promised someone would come in and relieve her. She complained she was working 2-2 the next day (Tues 7/2/24). Another girl finally came in and as the first cook was leaving (30 minutes after we first came in) she asked if we wanted a drink and gave us our 2 sweet teas. In the meantime an older gentleman came in and 2 separate people to order carry outs. He got his coffee immediately as they knew him by name. After 16 more minutes she took our order and his. She then took the 2 carry out orders. She brought our orders but forgot my husband’s waffle. She brought the 2 carry out orders and cashed them out. The older gentleman said to us, “ they need new management.” The syrup container was dripping syrup and sticky! Just as we were finishing up she brought my husband’s waffle, it was so cold the butter didn’t melt… he ate it anyway, we were hungry. Then she cashed out the family of 10 which was on a credit card. During which the new cook that had come in sat at the bar, took out her phone and was watching Gilmore Girls (that’s how loud it was, I could hear it) she didn’t help clean, wipe down of stock. We cashed out with cash … we each had an $11.25 meal and sweet tea, my husband gave her a $50 which really confused her, so he talked her through it. She had dark hair pinned up. First cook had shaved head, small pony tail at back am was heavy set.WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT WAFFLE...
Read moreWe've rarely visited any Waffle House where we've had a less than great meal and/or service. But it feels like the wonderful folks at the Dry Ridge location always go above and beyond. After the first or second time we (hubby, our two teen boys, and I) ate here, they've remembered us, and we're now greeted as old friends. They genuinely seemed excited to see us and usually remember details from our previous visits and conversations. (I mean, I can barely remember stuff we talk about on a daily basis!) One server recalled that my oldest son was graduating high school and inquired about his future plans. Another remembered that our boys have always ordered chocolate milk and brought it to them as we were sitting down! In addition to the amazingly friendly atmosphere, you're going to get one hell of a scrumptious meal to go along with it. The cooks at this location are killing it. Everything is so flavorful without being greasy, over or undercooked, or even burnt. Bacon is always the perfect amount of crispy without any dangly fat chunks. Burgers are juicy and thick, with fresh toppings. Eggs are cooked to your specifications with precision. We've never eaten anything here that wasn't absolutely delicious. You know that feeling when you take a bite of something that makes you close your eyes, hum with delight, and maybe do a little happy dance in your seat? Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Well, be prepared to do all three. PLUS have friendly chats with some of the coolest folks around when you visit this Waffle House. And PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE 🙏 PLEASE remember to tip your servers!!! (At least 15% - 20%...
