Chuck's Beds — Hotel in Elizabethtown

I went to Chuck's Beds in mid-October, looking to replace a VERY OLD bed I had been living with for over a decade! Of all of the bed salesmen I've talked to, Chuck has been the most accessible and honest of them. We hit it off and he was very helpful in showing me the beds according to what I needed, breaking down the helpful elements to each one, and breaking down the cost figures so it was easy to understand. He was the last one I saw in Elizabethtown, and he wasn't pushing me to buy now for free stuff, or to jump on a purchase before the "sale" ends. He actually told me that he doesn't believe in predatory markups and false "sale" prices, which really did a lot to earn my trust. The other salesmen at other locations were only interested in closing the sale, not giving me what was the best deal for me. If you get the latter, you succeed in the former, nine times out of ten, and Chuck knows that!

When I was done browsing, I decided that I wanted the Pegasus Queen Restonic mattress, the softest one they had. He put it on order for me and I also ordered a lavender pillow and a mattress protector. No money had to change hands that day, he let me pay for it when it showed up, which I did in cash to avoid the added cost of a credit transaction.

Now, the delivery of the mattress was originally slated for four weeks after order. Due to Covid-19, a couple of weeks were added to the wait time. When I checked in close to the end of this two weeks, he told me the truck had informed him that it would be another week, but he was willing to sweeten the deal to keep me on hand. Very fair, given that the first delay was a bit more reasonable than the second. When I went in today, I needed three people to carry out all of the free things they were giving us! I left with two lavender pillows, two down-alternative pillows, two travel pillows, two sherpa blankets, and an order for a cotton blend blanket set at no added cost to me! Incredible stuff!

The real surprise came when he pulled some strings to get me same-day delivery. The mattress set showed up at my house within the hour after I got back! I had to clean up real fast so they could get the new mattress set in place!

To be fair, I do wish that Chuck and his team would keep disposable masks on the premises during these times, I know not everyone is as concerned about it as we are, and it's a mattress place so it doesn't see a lot of people walking in over the day, but having the option for the health-conscious would be very kind.

Do I think that detail should drown out how good their service was? Honestly, no! Chuck and his team did right by me, I would recommend their products to anyone in town! And I can't wait for the vaccines to hit and for the pandemic to calm down a bit, cause these guys deserve to stay in business. I know it's hard for them right now, but I honestly hope to see them around well into...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OR THIER CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN THEY SELL BOOTLEG PRODUCTS.! I purchased a mattress from Chuck in May 2021 and told it would be in in a month i didn't receive it till August 2021. When i received it was the wrong Mattress. I didn't get my new Mattress until October 2021. The mattress is a bootleg mattress. I HAVE BACK PROBLEMS which i told the man and told him I needed the firmest one they had. The one i picked was good for me. When I got it it was not the same quality as the mattress they have in the store. i sent him pictures of when you just sit on the mattress it goes down to about 4 inches thick . It bubbles in the middle and I have to layer it with pillows and blankets to sleep so my body doesn't sink in and the threads are coming loose. After paying $1,000 you would expect what you paid for. I HAVE BEEM VERY PATIENT with Chuck. He told me the end Of February 2022 he would order me a new one. I HAVE been calling him for 3 weeks straight after a month has passed it is now April 14 2022 and Chuck has been avoiding me for 3 weeks will not return my call. Amazing caring people! They went above and beyond! My family and I became displaced after our move to North Carolina was put to a halt. We had made it to kentucky to visit family before heading on to NC. Hurricane Matthew changed that entirely. We Lost Everything that was waiting for us there. We thankfully ended up falling in love with kentucky and the towns of Radcliff and drown and have began our process of settling in this awesome town of Radcliff with my family. The VOA of Elizabethtown partnered with Chucks Mattress Outlet and truly blessed my husband and I and our three kids with beds. Originally we would have gotten a standard bed, no bells or whistles , and that would have been a blessing regardless, but the kind people at Chucks upgraded us to a bed that is beyond amazing and so much more than we ever could have expected. The owner and his crew were so kind, so wonderful to me and my family. I've never been more grateful for the kindness and generosity Chucks showed me and my kids.
