This is such a cool park that is dog friendly. There is a designated off leash area which is not closed in. Just something to consider before making the trip if you have dogs thY like to wander. I saw something about an athletic field reservation that runs In the morning until 130pm then it's open for off leash dog use on Saturdays not sure how long that is for during the year. There is a designated leash area for dogs as well. There was a graduation party happening, people riding there bikes and walking, and a son & dad playing catch. Read moreGreat park in an area that is experiencing a rebirth. Good mix of kids ranging in ages from infants to high school age in the surrounding area. Playground equipment is modern (installed in 2016) I believe. Basketball hoops and court are in great shape. Grass on the open field areas is well maintained and is of sufficient area for any type of sport or activity. Trees of various varieties to allow for all levels of tree climbing abilities. Dogs can be off leash according to posted hours(6am to 11am and 6pm to 11pm if I'm not mistaken), though as long as you use better judgment then most likely you could enjoy off leash privileges at any time. The park has somewhat of a small circumference so you can get several in and Fido would love it also. The park feels very comfortable in a safe family oriented neighborhood. The bathrooms are closed starting October 15 and there are no outhouses available so if you need to go do it before you come to the park. For the big kids in us there are horse pits ready for action packed...
