Five Guys — Restaurant in Maryland

Decent food, shady, disrespectful workers. I came at 2:05 on 11/1 and ordered 2 burgers and 2 drinks. We took the cups over to get THE WORST UNSWEETENED TEA I HAVE EVER HAD. It tasted old, dirty, or like it was made incorrectly. No biggie, I sent my friend to get some new cups so we could have an actually consumable drink with our meal.

The workers proceeded to interrogate her on what was wrong with the tea and why we needed new cups with a condescending attitude , after she explained the situation several times. They reluctantly handed her one cup then tried to argue with her about giving her a second and started treating us as if we were trying to scam them out of some 2 dollar cups when we just spent 40 on the meal there.

Eventually, they gave us the cups(we tossed the old ones) they proceeded to shoot weird/ dirty looks at us the remainder of our lunch here, making for a hostile and micro-aggressive middle of my work day .

As per my receipt, my cashier was LORENA so I recommend that upper management reviews their footage and gets Lorena and her constituents some basic manners. I’ll be communicating as much on my email...

The service, here, is very good. The food is good. The prices are too high, the patties seem to be getting a big smaller, and the amount of fries you get seems to have diminished. However, you can't go wrong with food from Five Guys.

You're going to spend a few pennies. But the food experience makes up for it. That and the service.

Here's my question: Why does the staff let people steal softdrinks and not try to stop them.

I was just in there ordering food for my son and I watched the staff watch 2 individuals (in separate incidents, both, within minutes of one another) use a water cup to pour and drink softdrink and the other individual use a cup equivalent to a BIG GULP to steal softdrink.

Meanwhile, I spent, approximately, $14 on a single patty cheeseburger and regular size soft drink.

Unacceptable and...

Absolutely disgusting. I used to count on Five Guys for decent burgers and excellent fries. Not this time! Not only have the prices been jacked WAY up, but the fries were completely inedible - very undercooked and totally soggy. Spent about $50 for 3 cheeseburgers and 2 fries. Practically all the fries went straight into the garbage. A waste of hard-earned cash and not enough (edible) food for everyone.
