Booked a room on Valentine's Day to stay for a concert down the street I surprised my boyfriend with tickets for as a gift -the distance being why we chose the hotel in the first place. Checked into our room and instantly noticed the awful smell and the shape of the room in general. We were not in the room more than five minutes and I tried to open a window and it completely shattered on me. My wrist was pouring blood- my WRIST, not a single cut or mark on my hands/knuckles- and my boyfriend went down to the office to explain what happened. They manager came up, asked if I was alright or needed an ambulance, I declined and said I'd be alright and he said they were going to fix the window, free of charge and to give them about half an hour to get it cleaned up. He explained how the windows were "safety" sealed, although on other reviews of the same hotel, people left comments about having to have their windows open, or how some were sketchy because they wouldn't lock. After about 20 minutes of sitting in the parking lot, and discovering the type of "clientele" coming in and out of these rooms, I went into the office and asked if I could just receive a refund and we would go somewhere else. The manager then came in and started yelling saying I had to of punched the window because of how the glass was shattered and that they were kicking us out, without a refund and calling the police, I said please do. We waited around for the officers to arrive, who explained to us the bad reputation of the hotel and to put a stop to it on my card and we were better off not staying there anyways. He said the manager said we were arguing and I punched the window, which was a complete lie. I just want a refund for a room we weren't even in for a total of five minutes, got my arm split open for and the time lost for our concert and the ruining of most of our night in general. Awful place, I've never reviewed any business before, ever on any site negatively but hopefully this will prevent other people from such an awful experience or stay...
Read moreUnfortunately, this site makes you pick at least one star. The outdated, overpriced rooms are disgusting. Between bugs,no hot water unless showering past 2am,the rude ownership and management it's impossible to rate. Check out is at 11a.m. yet you are made to leave your rm at 10:30 by a dirty old man, wailing on your door, trying to get guests outside,so they can lock you out and try to make you pay even more. The breakfast from the Dollar Tree, which again,is monitored by the man to make sure you don't take too many of the 10 to 12, Dollar Tree expired donut sticks, is in a creepy dirty back room. There's literally nothing there but iguanas, other let down guests, drug dealers, and bugs! They have about 4 to 5 T.V. channels, and 1 being an infomercial. Cockroaches are in all the rooms, most electrical outlets don't work. The turn dial microwave from 1980 takes about 10 minutes to reheat anything I was brave enough to eat in the room. The cleanest part would be the bugs eating anything that was on the floor, which I recommend never touching with bare skin. I actually slept with sneakers on, while trapped staying there. If you need something like toilet paper past 10am, you better hope you brought your own. That's if you were fortunate enough to have a flushing toilet. The only good thing was leaving. Period. Terrible place structurally, inside and out, awfully run by "the manager" who also has the local drug dealer on his payroll. Nasty attitudes, nasty everything. If you absolutely have to go there, bring a hazmat suit to stay in, when entering the door...
Read moreUpon walking into the room it looked clean, but it was supposed to be non-smoking and it was overwhelming with smoke, especially in the bathroom. I understand it's a budget hotel but a little maintenance would go a long way. The sheets on the bed were torn, there were holes in the curtain, paper was stuffed in it to hide the hole. The lock catch is missing on the door, no smoke detector in the room. The floor in the bathroom was like an ice rink, whatever cleaner was used made it very slippery and we had to clean it to not slip and fall. No trash can to put your discarded stuff. Used soap was left in the shower from the last guests, they provide 2 towels and a wash cloth, no hair dryer available . Toilet paper roll holder broken. The AC hardly blows into the room unless you have it turned all the way down. Trim around doors and walls were in bad shape. The positive is that the bed was comfortable and the night staff were very pleasant, there was ample hot water and good pressure in the shower. We didn't ask to move rooms because we were only staying a short time but I feel people should be aware and hopefully management would make the necessary repairs. Unfortunately we would not...
