THE ROOM, LOCATION, AND VALUE RECEIVED A GOOD RATING. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED AT THIS LOCATION HAS TO BE IMPROVED. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WENT FROM BAD TO WORSE WHEN THERE WAS A MISCOMMUNICATION ON SINGLE AND DOUBLE OCCUPANCY RESERVATION. I WAS CALLED A LIAR AND ACCUSED OF TRYING TO STAY FOR FREE WHILE CHECKING IN. I THEN ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER IN REFERENCE TO THE OCCUPANCY MISCOMMUNICATION AND RUDE FRONT DESK STAFF. THE NEXT MORNING THE PROPERTY OWNER CALLED MY ROOM AND ASKED IF I WOULD BE CHECKING OUT OR STAYING ANOTHER DAY ALSO IF EVERYTHING WAS OK WITH MY STAY. I REPLIED I WOULD BE CHECKING OUT AND EVERYTHING WITH MY STAY WAS OK. I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK TO CHECK OUT AND IT WAS UNATTENDED SO I LEFT MY ROOM KEY IN THE NIGHT DROP BOX. AS I RETURNED TO MY VEHICLE AN EMPLOYEE STARED ME DOWN THEN WALKED OVER TO MY CAR AND PEERED IN TO SEE HOW MANY PERSONS WERE IN THE CAR. THEN SHE WALKED OVER TO THE MANGER/PROPERTY OWNER TO LET HIM KNOW THAT WE WERE LEAVING. HE THEN WALKED TO MY CAR AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO ME ABOUT MY COMPLAINT. WE HAD A CONVERSATION ABOUT MOTEL 6 SINGLE AND DOUBLE OCCUPANCY POLICY. AGAIN I FELT I WAS TREATED RUDELY AND ALSO FELT I WAS BEING HARASSED BY HIS TONE AND THE LANGUAGE HE USED TO DESCRIBE ME AS A FRUGAL CUSTOMER. I HAVE STAYED AT OTHER HOTELS AND OTHER MOTEL 6'S AND NEVER HAD A EMPLOYEE OR PROPERTY OWNER FOLLOWING ME TO MY VEHICLE AND START AN ARGUMENT ABOUT A COMPLAINT AFTER I HAVE TOLD THEM THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK. Read moreLets start by saying we made a reservation threw customer service . we drove 43 miles to the first motel 6 that we made the resvations for. When we arived there where no rooms. The night desk rep said they couldn't get all the rooms cleaned. After almost 1 1/2 hours on the phone with customer servicethey booked us hear at the stock yards location. We where there 3 days had the room cleaned 1 time. The last night my husband sat down in a chair at the table and it collapsed .the next morning he left out early on buisness meeting. We thought check out was 12 not 11 am. After 3 people coming to the room telling me to check out before 1130 am They called my husband as well. He arrived at 1135 am and was treated by staff saying hurry up check out had pasted. We where waiting at the office to check out and was getting ice for a small yetti bag . the first time to get ice during the stay. He was aproched by staff saying how rude and inconsiderate he was for getting the ice. During the check out we forgot to say anything about the chair or housekeeping as Bering rushed you can imagine . About 30 minutes after we left the manager call and said we trashed the room and destroyed a chair . while trying to explain what was going on the manager treated the police and hung up and would except a call back from us. I have been in the hospitality industry for 16 years and a gm for many restaurants I have never seen complete disregard for customer service like this. Read moreBooking and checking in were pleasant experiences. The room however was another story. An actual comforter and overall cleanliness aren’t something that should be skimped on. The toilet looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned. The sheets looked as though they’ve been there since the motel was established (stains galore) and there were cigarette burns in the comforter. Dust and hair in every crack and crevice. Paint chipped and peeling on the sealed off door. The air conditioner/heater smelled like it’s never been cleaned. A complimentary shampoo would have been nice. The wood like floors, minimalist decor and allowance of dogs were pleasant features though. On another note,for only $20 more i was able to stay in a different hotel establishment during the same trip where cleanliness wasn’t of concern, the sheets were inviting, we had a complimentary shampoo, the overall feel of the room felt clean enough to sleep in, and there was a complimentary breakfast. They also had a pool and allowed dogs. Our Motel 6 experience on the other hand was not as inviting as I remember it being when I was a child. The main area of concern was the overall lacking cleanliness. I truly do hope their other facilities do not lack...
