me and my roommates went to this location after we had finished a dinner together and were looking for an ottoman for our apartment. we found the perfect one but were not sure we would be able to fit in the car with all three of us. we went to the front and asked the cashier if we could purchase it, try fitting it in our car, and if it did not fit we would be back first thing in the morning to pick it up. the cashier went to go ask the coordinator/ key carrier if we could try, and i heard her respond from afar, “well they have to buy it first”. we were fully intending on purchasing the ottoman and explained to the coordinator. she said that we would have to purchase it, and if we cannot fit it, return it, and come back later that night to get it with the right vehicle. keep in mind, it was 30 minutes before closing and we live a county over, so doing this was not possible. the coordinator/ key carrier (who’s name i didn’t get since she was not wearing any name tag or form of identification) claimed they could not keep it overnight due to liability issues and we would just have to hope it’s there tomorrow. i had worked for this company for over 6 years and we were always allowed to have an item on hold for a customer for one full business day. i understand policies may have changed since i left two years ago, but the attitude of the MOD was...
Read moreI love TJ Maxx, but I did have a sort of irritating experience at this particular location. A few weeks ago I bought a pair of shoes from here. Upon getting home I realized the shoes were different sizes, one shoe was a 10 and the other a 9.5. I brought them back to return them, but they wouldn’t accept them as I didn’t have a tag or receipt. I understand that’s on me, which is completely reasonable, so I didn’t argue and was going to just go on about my day. However, then the cashier tried to tell me they don’t even have that shoe in the store, which doesn’t make any sense considering I bought them from this location. I’m not sure if she was trying to accuse me of lying or if maybe I just misunderstood, but nevertheless I decided to go have a look for myself. I scanned the shelves for no more than a couple seconds before I found the exact same pair of shoes, both in a size 10. So I purchased them. I wish I’d gotten the cashier’s name but I didn’t think to do so. I was quite annoyed at being gaslit at the register, I found the experience to be very unprofessional.
But in the end I got my shoes, and they were only $20. I’ll continue to love shopping here, but I hope to never encounter that particular...
Read moreOctober 29 around 8 at night I decided to go with my children to this store because at the entrance there was a girl of Hispanic origin who was at the entrance and she looked at us how upset I went to the pillow area when my children took a toy for the dogs to take our puppies and they began to play the happy toy not even two minutes had passed when the woman I saw at the entrance arrived and came saying that noise was not allowed and that if we did not buy it we should leave it in the The people who were shopping had already arrived in the service area to stay when it was clearly a lie since they arrived with their terrible attitude. I think they should take into account the type of employees they hire, that if they are not in a good mood they should not work in the store. where usually a lot of noise is made or should I say no children allowed or say do not make noise also my money is worth well I hope that the next time they want someone to leave they say it at least politely it was the last time I went to this store better It is Burlington, best prices, I will gladly tell people to go to Burlington, best price and friendliest people, our money...
