Convenient location, good rooms and great staff! Stayed for a few weeks while in the area for work because a few of my co-workers were there and it was a great stay. The room was spacious and had everything I needed including a full size fridge which is very important to me when traveling for work. The overall location was convenient with a few restaurants and stores within walking distance (do not walk after dark without a partner as part of the area is a bit rundown) and multiple stores and the local mall less than 5 minute drive away. What stood out to me was the staff! Every employee I encountered was polite, friendly and very personable. My apologies for not remembering everyone's name but from the front desk staff like Asia, Noah and Nick to the housekeepers who seemed over worked but always pleasant and helpful, to maintenance man Corey who always had a smile and a kind word as you passed him and even the breakfast attendant Renee who introduced herself and always made sure if we needed anything just to ask. (Speaking of which, there are some reviews where people complain about the breakfast but guess what y'all, it's free! If it's not to your liking, that's cool but why waste a review complaining about the free breakfast? I personally was thankful for the daily options even if just coffee and a piece of fruit or yogurt on my way to work.) The only issues I had, which the staff had little control over, was the family/kids in the room directly above me decided to constantly jump up and down late at night the last few days of my stay. I don't like to complain but I wish I had mentioned it earlier so the staff could have taken action before. There was also an incident where another guest had a dog off leash that was not well trained and did not obey her commands as the dog jumped up on a few of us (although the owner claimed it was a service animal). This created a traumatic experience for a member of our party who was terrified of dogs. Pet owners, please be considerate in shared spaces, esp of others who may have allergies or phobias. Overall, I recommend this hotel and would stay again if I'm ever...
Read moreMy son and I stayed at this property on 10/27. We checked in around 7pm and the represenative was friendly and helpful. Upon entering the room, I noticed that it was FILTHY. There was hair all in the tub, the toilet paper was ripped and disheveled, and there was half-eaten food left in refrigerator from the previous guest. The room was so messy that I honestly thought we had entered the wrong room. Thankfully there was no issues when I requested a new room, but that one was hardly any better. There are large scuffs on the wall, food crumbs behind the bed skirt, and the room was in desperate need of dusting. It was dirty, but I wasn't going to ask for another room. In the morning, we went downstairs to pick up a "grab and go" breakfast bag on the way to my son's doctor's appointment. There was a different woman at the desk from the night before and she was rude. She never greeted me, was curt with her response when I asked about breakfast and coffee, and she was wearing her mask below her nose. That's when 2 other guests came into the lobby dining room area with NO MASKS. I thought masks were required in all public areas? She never said anything to them about the masks. We left the hotel and went to the appointment and when we returned a few hours later, the guests with no masks were still in the lobby. The rude representative ran through the lobby to somewhere carrying a coffee cup, even after I had tried to get her attention. My son will have future appointments where this hotel is located and we will not be back based on the stay we had last night. The hotel needs to be better taken care of, the day time staff is rude, and I did not feel like cleanliness was a priority at this property. The only redeeming quality was the evening staff, but she wasn't enough to make up for the rest...
Read moreWe stopped here for an overnight while traveling to S Florida. We used PriceLine Name Your Price and took a gamble. Man did we hit the jackpot. The hotel itself is modern and clean and chock full of amenities. Our room had a well appointed kitchenette. The closet was a closet I would be happy to have in my own home. Bed was comfy. There is a desk with a lamp and 2 USB ports and 4 outlets. I dare you to run out of places to plug in. There were also single outlets on both sides of the bed. There was a small couch and ottoman and the place is pet friendly. Then you have the staff. We were greeted by 2 gentlemen when we checked in who couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. They explained everything we needed to know and got us in our room quickly and efficiently. A welcome experience after a long day of driving. We got settled and took a quick jaunt down the street to the mall and grabbed a quick bite to eat there and stretched our legs with a walk. In the morning we went down for breakfast expecting typical hotel blah. I have to say it was a notch above. I made myself a sausage egg and cheese english muffin. My wife had a waffle, hard boiled eggs and a muffin. Fresh coffee with all the fixins. All in all a perfectly good breakfast. Fresh and hot. We were greeted when we went down by Masika. What a joy and an asset to the establishment. She is friendly and chock full of any info you may need. She seems to truly enjoy her job and genuinely likes people. Jackie, Esa and Yvonne kept everything clean and running smoothly. Thank you, Masika, for greeting a sleepy and disheveled guest like you would greet the CEO. I truly felt important and well cared for. We will definitely be making TownePlace Suites our preferred stop in...
