I wasn’t going to make a public review, but the way that things were handled privately have left me with no other choice.
I placed a mobile order just before arriving. When we got to the speaker in the drive thru, we waited until we were asked by a staff member (not the automated voice that we said “no” to when asked for a code) what the order was. My husband said we are picking up for Amber & we heard nothing for 5-10 seconds. Then, we were asked “is there anything else?” my husband said “no, that’s all. Thank you, I appreciate it” we heard nothing, so he started to pull forward until we heard “what?” So he stopped, further away from the speaker since we had begun pulling off but he leaned out of the window & repeated the same thing. We pulled up to the window & immediately we were greeted with attitude. The employee rudely asked “what did you say?” so my husband thought she was still asking what he said at the end, so he said “sorry, I was saying thank you-“ she cut him off & said 4-5 times “there’s no reason to say thank you” my husband was confused, so he said again “I was thanking you for putting the order through” she cut him off again to repeat another 3-4 times “you have no reason to thank me, I didn’t even hear what you want” realizing what happened, my husband said “sorry, we have a pickup order for Amber” she didn’t say anything & just closed the window, then came back a few seconds later to give us more attitude & tell us to pull around & park. We were able to get our food & leave without further incident, but I wanted to bring it to the managers attention because that’s not how you handle a frustrating situation as an employee. I submitted a review through the app, about an hour or two later I received a call from the manager of the store. I was then told that the employee was not rude at all & that it was a big misunderstanding because she couldn’t hear us at the speaker, essentially the manager was trying to gaslight me because she believes her employee did nothing wrong. Bottom line, there is absolutely no reason to have an attitude with customers who have been nothing but kind just because there is a frustrating situation such as the speaker malfunctioning. It does seem like it was a misunderstanding, however the employee needs to know that she was wrong & it was uncalled for to talk to us that way. It costs...
Read moreI admittedly came at a busy time, but that wasn't unusual, as I come about once a week on my lunch break.
I placed two orders, one for a coworker and the other for me, back to back at the kiosk. I received my coworkers order and then stood for an increasingly long amount of time as new people came in and got their orders and left.
I eventually asked after about 20-25 minutes if there was an issue with my order, because it told me at the kiosk it went through. The lady I asked then proceeded to tell me she didn't see my order, and went back to making food. I get it, it's busy, but to be ignored like that was so rude.
Eventually another girl came over and I asked her about it, she told me there was a few orders before mine and they have to be completed in order, including doordash and Uber eats. There is NO way that the multitude of orders that came and went while I stood there was placed during the 30 seconds it took to place both of my orders, but at least she was able to confirm to me that the order was in and didn't completely ignore my concerns like the first worker.
What went from my 30 minutes lunch break turned into an hour long ordeal, and my coworkers food that I was given first was soggy and poorly put together on top of that.
I never have had any issue at this location, but this was unacceptable and I...
Read moreAs with any Taco Bell I go there more for the nostalgia and the "food" and not any hopes of fine dining or healthy eats.
Now that the pandemic is simmering down, while prices are still inflated the quality was typical of decent Tex-Mex fast food with the usual suspects for ingredients.
Also notable is the fact that the chain appears to have largely returned to having bins of sauce packets out in the open for customers to pillage at will rather than having one of their folks be custodian over them as in the height of COVID's supply chain nightmare.
No complaints about staff or service, and the food despite being bombarded in the drive thru with offers to pay more for an extra 50% of their "beef" up-charged from their already rather miserly amount as if an actual meal deal was acceptable.
Most importantly, there was no buyer's remorse later that evening on the toilet, which given their close proximity to I-75 and having orders moving fast is inevitable and desirable compared to some other locations in the middle of nowhere that lack customers and, as a...
