I don't even know where to begin. My son and I came to Gainesville late Friday night from Daytona because my brother was in the hospital in cardiac arrest. So I made the reservation on the road as a Wyndham rewards elite diamond member. I only stay in Wyndham hotels because of this andafter years of no issues I unfortunately will never stay in one again unless someone does right by me as a customer. I got to the hotel . Checked in no problem and went to the hospital. I got back about 430 am and decided I was going to pay for a few more nights as I didn't know how long we would need to stay. My brother passed away during my problem with this hotel. I came all this way to miss his death because when I got back to the hotel the second night .. I was in my room during checkout sleeping I didn't leave for the hospiayal until1230 pm and got back to sleep a few hours about 1130pm. It was freezing and I had my nieces and nephews with me to get them something to eat I was only stopping at the room to grab my jacket. As all my belongings we brought including a 450 brand new Xbox. Our key wouldny work. I went around with the kids in the car 4 of them and me. They waited while I approached the front office. It was closed and a window was open on the side so I explained that I needed a ky that worked and my room number . I had photos and emails with my confirmation number and the man I had never seen before toldme I had never been here and that room had been empty for 3 days. For 2 hours as my brother died at shands I was treated like a criminal. He told me he called 911 and they would shoot me if I did not leave. Can u imagine . I called 911 myself. He refused to look in the room and wouldn't open the window . I was charged 3 times for that room that I didn't get to stay in. And I was forced off the property. After the police realized I was right they did nothing to have my back. Or make me feel better. So much more happened but that is the short version. I won't stop telling my story until someone does the right things here. This was the only time on my life I had to call 911 thinking my life ad the kids lives were in danger. The kidand I were in the cold for 2 hours and then slept in the car at the hospital because I didn't feel safe. I paid again so I could show the police that my things were in there. The woman T the desk the next morning told me the man was misunderstood but he was a good person and begged me not to write a review. What kind of...

This was hands-down the worst hotel experience my family and I have ever endured. I wouldn’t wish a stay here on anyone. The conditions were absolutely appalling from the moment we walked in, and frankly, this place should be ashamed! Let me break it down: • Bedbugs. Yes, bedbugs. We noticed bites on our bodies. This alone warrants immediate closure and fumigation. • Flying insects. The room was infested with flying gnats or fruit flies. They swarmed near the bathroom and around the television – it was disgusting and impossible to relax or want to sleep. • Overwhelming stench. The room reeked of a moldy, musty smell that hit you like a wall the moment we opened the door. It was such an unpleasant experience. • Filthy carpets and walls. Window curtains unknown stains, built up gunk. The carpet was stained, felt damp, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, let alone before a new guest occupied it.The walls were visibly dirty with smudges, grime, and unknown splatters. • Disgusting bathroom. Hair follicles on shower walls. Stained shower curtains. The towels had smelled funky, and had visible. stains. Absolutely unusable. Broken doorknob my niece got stuck in bathroom bc of this. Very traumatizing. • General neglect. Everything about the room screamed neglect and poor management – from the broken fixtures to the horrible stench. Let alone we had requested to change rooms just to be placed into another room with the same issues just slightly less. I would never expect luxury at a budget hotel, but basic hygiene and cleanliness are non-negotiable. This place failed on every level. This hotel should issue us a full refund immediately. What we experienced wasn’t a minor inconvenience – I am warning other travelers: avoid this place...
Read moreReserved a handicapped accessible room and was given a standard room on third floor instead.
Not uncomfortable, but cleanliness could be improved and bathrooms are very dated and should be invested in / upgraded.
Actual sleeping area was decent and looked to be fairly freshly painted with newer clean curtains and clean-looking carpet. Paint on the ceiling was touched up and did not match the rest.
The coffee maker had a condiment pack that has probably been in the room a long time and looks like it had been sitting in coffee. The napkin inside was soaked with dry coffee and stained. Very disgusting thing to find and should have been replaced by housekeeping.
The bathroom was in bad shape in comparison.
The toilet was very slow-flushing and required multiple flushes for anything other than just liquid.
The vent was covered in dust and hadn't looked to be cleaned for months at least.
3.The plug for the tub drain was on the floor under the toilet.
Tub looks very old and as a result looked very dirty even though I think it was actually clean. Drain was tarnished and corroded, tub looks like it was actually painted or part of it at one point, and was peeling. Non-slip mat in bottom of tub was peeled up at corners.
Cold water valve was backwards and there was a steady small stream flowing from the spout that couldn't be stopped.
6 Towel rack was not mounted level and the missed attention to detail looks funny and stood out.
Ice machine on our floor was out of order and drink machine next to it took my money, did not dispense product, and did not refund the money. We drove a few miles to find a store to get drinks.
Exterior of the property looked aged and not clean in comparison to all of the other visited franchise hotels...
