If you’re looking for a coffee shop that’s more than just a caffeine stop, let me introduce you to my new favorite hangout. This place roasts its own beans, and you can taste the love (and probably a little magic) in every cup. It’s rich, smooth, and gives you just the right amount of energy to tackle your day—or at least pretend you have your life together.
The vibe? Super chill and friendly, like your favorite neighbor who always waves but never overshares. The staff makes you feel like an old friend, even if it’s your first time walking through the door. Bonus: it’s veteran-owned, so you know you’re supporting someone who’s served with dedication both to our country and now to your taste buds.
But wait, there’s more. They host live music, and it’s not your typical coffee shop acoustic cliché. Think real talent, good vibes, and the perfect excuse to linger a little longer over that second cup. Honestly, it’s like they bottled up community and coziness and served it with a side of fresh espresso.
And the best part? They’re bringing all this goodness to a new Nashville location soon. Can’t wait to see them spread their coffee magic here. If this is what they’re brewing, I’ll be...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic place but it must be said it’s the owners that make Indies not only special but very unique. But let’s get this part out of the way: I am not a super picky coffee drinker but I’ve loved everything I’ve had from Indies. And the coffee gives me the kick that I want or need from coffee. I’m really about the caffeine, and I talked their heads off after drinking their delicious coffee. Luckily, Brandon and Carla were very friendly and receptive from the moment we met. These are very good people who are running a very good business, and doing the very best they can to further themselves and their family. The American Dream in action. I’ve spoken with them on multiple occasions and I know they have very best of intentions. They have a great vision here and we need new people with great vision so desperately in Galveston. They are very good people. I cannot stress this enough. Brandon is a Marine and that means something here in Texas as it really should. Get to know these people. If you don’t like them, it’s because you really don’t know them. And they have great coffee, oh and by the way, they have live performances here. Go check this place out. You...
Read moreI stumbled into Indie’s Coffee Bar & Speakeasy and immediately loved the vibe. It is cozy and inviting, with a creative and slightly vintage feel that makes you want to stay a while. The smell of fresh espresso and pastries hits you as soon as you walk in, and everything feels thoughtfully put together. The treats were great, fresh, soft, and clearly made with care. There are not a lot of hot food options yet, but what they do offer is done really well. I had a coffee that was perfectly made, strong but smooth, with great flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really stood out to me was how friendly everyone was. The owner or GM came over to chat, and you could tell he genuinely cares about his guests, his team, and his shop. It felt more like visiting a friend’s place than a typical coffee stop. I have not been in the evening yet, but the speakeasy side sounds like such a fun idea. I will definitely be back to check it out. Whether you are grabbing coffee, a treat, or just need a quiet spot to unwind, Indie’s is the kind of place that makes you glad...
