I will start off by saying this . You definitely get what you pay for. The pictures are very deceiving. The pool is caution taped off and closed, the Lucky's Bar is obnoxiously loud especially if your room is on the inside or anywhere near the door. The folks who reside there, are always screaming and yelling throughout the night. Thankfully we were not there very long, checked in and went to the beach, came back and went to sleep. The room: When I first walked in, the pungent aroma of must illuminated the air and a bug of some sort scurried under the wall...the beds were somewhat flat and I'm pretty sure broken down in the middle, our door would not shut securely even with the latch. The staff: The check in guy yesterday around 5:30-6 did not have a very welcoming tone or attitude. He seemed very disgruntled doing his job and when asked for locations of anything, prompt response was "I don't know anything." My suggestion is if you have been living somewhere for 2 months, it's time to familiarize yourself with the location especially working in Hotels. Also handled himself in a very unprofessional manner when it came to answering the phone, as previously stated almost as if he didn't want to be there. The evening shift guy, was nowhere to be located... Several guests were crowded around the desk in search of him, and he was in the back room doing God knows what, and when I took it upon myself to knock on the door, I feel I woke up from a nap because he was not very happy. All I have to say about the staff is if you're unhappy in Guest Services, find a different profession. Also, I found this outside, on his back struggling. I flipped him over because I felt bad as he was being chewed up by ants. Didn't stick around long enough to see what he was.

Given Rm 216. Smells musky, bathroom wall behind door was all busted up. Every thing seems damp.. Bathroom vent fan hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Staircase going to room Smells like pee. There is a stray cat that probably using that area. Changed rooms to Rm 135. A little better, but needs better cleaned. Tissue dispenser is empty and lid laying on floor. Toilet paper had only a few sheets on it. Had to go to front desk to get more. Wouldn't recommend thus place to anyone or will I stay again. I'd get my money back but we exhausted from traveling all day, and going to stick it out. We'll be out of here ASAP. Was going to post pics but cant from this sight

Not what I was hoping for, but kind of expected it. I booked a single king room with a jetted garden tub and we were given a room with 2 queens and a stand in shower. The door to the room was open upon arrival and looked like someone decided to nap in one of them. Went back to the front desk and we're given another room (2 queens, no jetted tub; still not what I booked) and there's no mirror above the bathroom sink, missing lamp shades, and so on. Also, the amenities that were advertised were all closed and unavailable for whatever reason. No pool or hot tub access, no gym, but the seedy bar inside remains open for business!

We had a horrible day before we checked in to the Savannah gateway motel 6. We were told to leave the Hinesville Travel Lodge after being there for 4 days (paid, $71 a night plus $10/pet per night) after I paid for the next night, no clear reason, but will NEVER stay there again. They never cleaned our room, only knocked 2 times about towels and never took the trash. Complained about the trash when we left it in the room. So, I went online and found motel 6 on General Screven and booked it cheaper than Travel Lodge and they didn’t charge for pets. Booked 10 day stay. Arrived about 10 minutes later and was told the internet was down and I had to request a refund online. I asked how long it had been out, said about an hour. I asked if we could wait to check in and was told no, get the refund. Not very polite, but not as nasty as the the last hotel. I had to call the service number for the refund. I went back online and found motel 6 gateway was cheaper than the Hinesville one by $4, had an indoor pool and breakfast, we arrived and as we checked in, saw the pool was closed “for renovations “ and no breakfast due to COVID, could be worse. We went to our room, stank like cat pee, a/c wasn’t cold, turned it up and a short time later, was leaking on the floor, there was no phone in the room, used my cell to call, we changed rooms. Second room was better, smelled clean, a/c worked and no puddle. Beds are comfortable and sheets were crisp and white, pillows, not too bad but glad I brought some, bathroom wasn’t the greatest due to mold, (bleach kills it, with COVID, should be using it) and toilet ran constantly with hot water, but couldn’t hear it. Floor has been wet and was warped, could be cleaner as well. Tv works, about 50 channels, microwave was a bit small but could put a plate in it, refrigerator was cold and kept items frozen in the small freezer. Been here 3 days and have had to go to front desk for towels as they haven’t knocked on the door, trash not picked up either, going to put it outside the door to be picked up. We will leave the hotel room tomorrow morning and see if they change the sheets. UPDATE: We’ve been here a month (didn’t want to but cheapest hotel that accepts animals for free) and despite asking multiple times to clean the room, it hasn’t been done. The bathroom is gross - mold everywhere around the shower/tub, toilet is lined with stains and still leaking, I told them this today and was told they won’t clean it because of COVID. That hasn’t been mentioned at all, only told they would knock on the door to clean, but that hasn’t happened. I reported the refrigerator stopped working 10 days ago and it hasn’t been looked at either. Every time I go to the front desk, it’s someone different. We place our dirty sheets and towels outside the door but have to go to the front to pick them up and make our own beds. Crazy isn’t even the word for it. If it was truly do to COVID, the maids wouldn’t be the only ones wearing masks. I hope this is the last 7 days we’ll have to be here. PS: the people hanging out around this place has been cleaned up a little bit since we’ve been here, but still have people asking for rides, my friend didn’t mind at first, but people would say they would pay, but once there, no money. I’ve put a stop to that, but they knock on the door at all hours still. The “prostitution” seems to be controlled somewhat because the police were called multiple times for “unknown” reasons but you still see it. Thanks...

This is the worst hotel! When I booked it it was listed as a days inn. Had I known it was a motel 6 I would never have booked it. I got here with my son for a 1 night stay as our half way point of our travels. We got to our room and we couldn’t get in. The key wouldn’t work. When we got in the room was flooded. They changed our room and the second room the heat wouldn’t work. It was set to 90 and was blowing cold. That night the temperature went down to 28. I didn’t bother calling to complain but when we checked out I mentioned it to the front desk. I told the lady I was coming back the following week on our way home. The following week traffic was horrible. We where supposed to arrive at 430 but got here at 8. I was tired my 8 y/o hungry and tired. It was dark I got confused finding the hotel I call she I had no reservation. I finally find the hotel and walk in. I go to give the girl my DL and she’s talking to another worker saying they had no room for me and was going down a list of rooms that where not good to possibly give us. I told her I was in traffic for 3 hours we’re tired. She ignores me and after 10 min she goes can I see your DL. She was gonna stick us in a room that was deemed unsafe. I’m a single woman with an 8y/o. I get it we are of no concern to her if someone breaks in our room. But what kind of human would put us in a room like that? I looked at her and just as I was about to say forget it we’re leaving the other lady said we can’t stick them in there. At least one has some humanity. I tell her I was here the week prior and told her about our rooms. She goes oh we’re putting you back in the room that was flooded. I told her fine. As long as the heat works cause we just need to sleep and be on our way in the morning. ||The service here is horrible. I get it, it’s a motel 6 but had I known I wouldn’t have booked here. Don’t book here if you...
