BURRITO EXPRESS — Restaurant in Gilbert

I love this place. Have been coming for over a decade. Sad to learn today that I can't get Sourcream inside a buritto anymore. They will for ones that have it included but the .50 cents they were charging they decided it was best to charge $1.03 now and make us add it ourselves. I don't want the mess. That's the whole point of a buritto. So, instead of just raising all burittos by like 15 cents which would more than cover their "cost" which they are already making so much on the .50 cents they were getting. It's sad to say, but not worth it. I will just have to buy SC and do it at home so they don't get the .50 or the $1.03. Such a silly thing. I know I will be minimizing how often I eat here. Was going 4 minimum days a week. Now, who knows. But very silly way to lose sales. I would of been okay charging me the $1.03 to add it in my buritto, but again not an option, per the cashier.

Think about the construction workers who want to eat as they like it and can't always go home and open buritto to add things, that's 80% of your business....

If you are looking for filing, fast, fresh, super tasty and cheap Mexican, this is it! If you are looking for fancy, go somewhere else. The steak, bean and cheese chimichanga is large and tasty for $7. The nachos supreme with shredded beef are so delicious and loaded with toppings. It's also nice that the huge tub of cheese is on the side, so the chips don't get soggy in transport. Skip taco bell and come here if you want large portions and quality meat. Yum. Will be back! Only criticsms are that the text club number didn't work and send me coupons, and the tables outside need to be wiped off so people can eat there.

Update: after 10 years of loving this place my heart was broken when I learned that they no longer will stay open after 3:00 p.m. We usually got their burritos for dinner and now that is not possible. This was my go-to place and we ate there at least once a week so I'm hoping that maybe they will reconsider and offer dinner hours again. Also they should bring back the nachos described above. This was our first time eating here. The girl at the counter was super helpful and patient with us and helped us pick something we would like. The green chili was really good. It will save me a trip to Globe.

Update: I’m dropping my review to two stars because of the terrible service we got today. When we came here the first time two days ago, the girl set up our loyalty account. When I got here today and placed a giant order that would’ve earned us a lot of points and a few free burritos, I didn’t know how to enter my rewards number and I didn’t see anything prompting that. I asked the kid behind the counter and he told me he thought it was too late in the transaction to enter my reward number. He told me that he typically works in the back as a cook and does not cashier. He simply said, “My bad.” he didn’t offer to grab somebody that knew what was going on, and there was another gentleman who appeared to be an owner or manager standing behind him.
