Food:4 Service:2 Price:3
Food: We tried carne asada nachos, carne asada chimichanga, a couple kids meals with bean and cheese and toquitos, chicken enchilada soup. All the salsas at the salsa bar are sweet, even the hot. They do offer jalapenos, which are good and the best way to add hear if you want. The carne asada was closer to jerky than steak. It was dry and thin sliced so it literally tasted like jerkey. The pico de Gallo tasted like tomatoes and black pepper. The guacamole was ok, and fairly priced for the quantity you get. The refried beans tasted smokey, which was weird and first but it grew on me. Taquitos were mediocre at best. The cheese they use had almost no flavor. My wife enjoyed the soup. The only stand out highlight was the pumpkin spice horchata.
Service: The staff members were almost all snarky. I overheard them cracking jokes at customers expense on more than one occasion. You can tell the manager on duty sets the dynamic as he was joking along with the younger staff.
The manager family happened to be there getting food at the time we arrived. I saw a young girl ask for and receive, what I thought was a free refill from the pumpkin horchata. We had ordered a large and medium to go and whole we were waiting for our food, I pointed it out to my wife and told her she should ask for a refill before we left. We didn't know their were special circumstances that permitted this at the time. So my wife unknowingly asked for a refill she was treated very poorly. The person she asked for the refill responded poorly and cracked a joke loud enough the kitchen laughed at her expense. The whole experience at the restaurant made me VERY uncomfortable. The only person that was pleasant was the nice young lady that took our order.
Price: Value vs quantity was pretty good, however we really didn't really enjoy any of the food we ordered so this washes in my opinion.
Based on our terrible service experience, and the inconsistent food, we will not be returning . I'm hoping Boca can work on the staffing issues and figure out the quality consistency issues. I know the owners are local, and there are many of us that want to...
Read moreThis was my first visit at Boca Taqueria, and sorry to say it wasn't the greatest. I will say that I don't consider myself to be a picky eater, nor do I hand out poor reviews very easily. First, the good: Good location, easy to find, nice decor, pleasant atmosphere despite the larger crowd. Staff was cheerful and helpful. They rushed to clear a table for us, and did so pleasantly. The food, unfortunately, was not great, and since we were there to eat and not just make friends with the staff, it kind of dampened our experience. I ordered a steak taco and a fish taco, and my wife ordered green chile pork mini chimichangas. -Steak taco was minimal meat, mostly full of lettuce/cabbage -Fish taco lasted almost two bites before I put it down. The fish looked great, but tasted literally like dirt. That second bite was a struggle! It was not typical fish taste. -The green chile pork mini chimis were tiny- but worse, could not be determined to be green chile, let alone pork. They were overcooked and very dry (See picture) Couple considerations- one, we ordered a la carte side dishes as our main meals. Maybe we wouldn't have cared as much if we had a main dish to resort to. However, for $25, we think there should have been more satisfaction for the money. Second, we just left. We didn't give them an opportunity to make things right. There's the possibility this could have been a happy ending if we gave them a chance. Speaking later to a family of regulars who sat next to us, they said it's normally better; that tonight things seemed to be off a bit. Sounds like bad timing for a...

We had heard from a friend about Boca Taqueria and when we saw their Heart Taco Platter we decided what a perfect way to check them out. During Valentines Day weekend we were able to enjoy 30 tacos, the Boca Trio, Margs and more and it was fantastic - highly recommend sitting at a high top table near the window.
We have since gone back to Boca a handful of times and have learned it’s always best around lunch when they first open on the weekends. It tends to not be as busy as a taco Tuesday or a Margs happy hour night.
Each time we have had the Boca Trio and love the guacamole and queso. The Tacos have all been tasty that we have tried and the kids menu is pretty perfect for any kid or picky eater. The only thing we have had that wasn’t our fav was the Chile relleno it was a little on the soggy side for our liking. The chicken enchiladas as a favorite with rice and beans.
The margaritas are tasty - I prefer the watermelon one and my husband likes the Cadillac or the pineapple one.
The pricing is also really reasonable and they have different specials...
