Today, around 3:30 pm, I had a very unpleasant experience at this Jack in the Box location. I came in with an elderly person with a disability and a 5-year-old child to buy our lunch. From the very beginning, I informed the shift manager, Liz, that I would be using a promotional coupon and showed it to her. Her response was a flat refusal, delivered in a rude and unprofessional tone, claiming that “she couldn’t process orders with coupons.”

What makes this even more frustrating is that just two days earlier, I visited this exact same location, ordered the exact same items with the exact same type of coupon, and the shift manager at that time (a very polite gentleman) processed it without any issues. This clearly shows there is no consistency in the service or policies—it all depends on the mood or willingness of whoever is in charge.

Her attitude towards us was completely inappropriate, especially considering that I was accompanied by an elderly person with a disability and a small child, who had to witness an uncomfortable and unnecessary situation. There was no attempt to assist us or find a solution—just a blunt refusal and a total lack of empathy.

Jack in the Box is a well-known brand, but situations like this damage its reputation. Proper customer service training and consistency in applying policies are essential. The manager was very rude to my mom and I, we were asking for the combo 22 in the drive thru and we couldn’t hear her very well, and when we tried asking her to repeat her self she said is that all in a hostile voice while we were trying to give her our order yet all she said was okay go to the widow and when we got there she was giving us an attitude when I asked her if she put the combo and she’s said that she asked and that we never responded which we did and we kept telling her at the window okay can you give us the combo but kept giving us attitude and she raised her voice which my mom didn’t like and that when my mom told her that she need to be nice and respect the customers and when my mom said that she started says that well it’s the customers fault for not ordering correctly because she can’t order for us and my mom said no it isn’t because we tried ordering it correctly but you didn’t let us because you were getting upset that we couldn’t hear you through the drive thru. Then my mom asked if she was the manager and she said yes in a manner that said yes what are you gonna do about it? Type of voice and my mom was like oh okay no wonder. And the lady told us okay thank you and didn’t even give us our food...
