DO NOT STAY HERE !!
After reading multiple reviews of how clean ("dated" but "clean") this hotel was, my husband reserved us a room. Upon check-in we could tell that the reviews had been much nicer than what we actually saw. Dated is putting it very lightly. I would say 40-50 years dated. For example, the carpet was almost black, possibly the original carpet from when the hotel was built. It was the same with the curtains, chairs, night tables, etc. All of it appeared to be about 50 years old. The smell of old cigarettes is likely permanent at this point. This isn't even they worst part of the room or night.
During check in, my husband was offered a room with a king size bed instead of the two queen beds for the same price, and my husband agreed, so our room was immediately switched to a different room. Within thirty minutes of being in the room a roach ran across the phone on the nightstand and was quickly killed by my husband as I watched in disbelief. As minutes go by, i noticed the condition of the room was way worse than any review we had read. I noticed a very large amount of dust and spiderweb on the lamp attached to the wall next to the bed. Thinking that it should have been removed during each cleaning, I realized it must have been there for quite a while. This told me that any cleaning of the room had been very little if any at all.
I proceed to tell my husband I didn't think I would be able to sleep there and would feel better sleeping in the car. He walks toward the sink and bathroom area and notices 3 more scurrying roaches further confirming to us that it was absolutely infested. We then begin packing up our things because we had seen enough and in no way were going to stay one more minute in that room. As we were shaking everything, and inspecting my service animal, to rid of any additional roaches that may be in our things, 1 more roach runs across the wall. It's now 4 in the morning and i am absolutely in disbelief. I go to the office to let them know of the extreme roach infestation and was told that they had a better room we could be switched to. Knowing that we had already seen and had enough, an apology and a full refund should have been the only thing offered !!
No refund. Instead i was told it would be better next time. There won't be a next time !! It was hands down the MOST DISGUSTING hotel I have ever stepped foot in. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE EXTREMELY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
In conclusion, we paid over $80 for this roach room which is absolutely insane. It was the most disgusting and dirty room we've ever experienced in 50 years. It very well could be an extreme health hazzard. It needs be torn down...
Read moreI am a choice hotels employee, so I knew before checking in (based off the ranking of this hotel) that it was not going to be a fancy, perfect hotel. Me and my sister just needed a cheaper little hotel for the weekend of the CMA Fest since we knew we weren't going to be at the hotel much anyways. However, I had NO clue that it would be the disaster that we checked in to.
I am so confused on how this place has the amount of good reviews that it does. The area is extremely rough and sketchy from the outside. As soon as you enter the room it smells like a huge ashtray. We could not breathe all night and it made me and my sister both stuffy for the rest of our trip. The appliances in our room were VERY dated. The air made a horrible noise off and on all night which made sleeping difficult. Our sheets were dirty and I felt like nothing in the room had even been cleaned. We checked out after the first night and stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites at the airport in Nashville (very, very much recommended for the little amount more you pay) for the rest of our trip because we couldn't even stand it another night. As soon as we checked into our new hotel and washed off we both had a BLACK FILM come off of us onto our towels from the smoke that was in our room the night before. It was repulsive.
I had no problem with the staff, everyone was nice at the front desk and we had no problem getting our money back for the last 4 nights of our reservation that we didn't stay.
I never write reviews but I thought this would be helpful for those of you who may be in the same boat...
Read moreTravel for work with disabled client and called to confirm handicapped double bed room prior to arrival and was assured everything was good. Once arrived found that not only did they not have me in a handicapped room but put us in a room with 4 steps. This place is ground level motel, folks. Anyway, the grounds were clean and the rooms smelled great. The air conditioner was loud and obnoxious making long burp like sounds throughout night. Like another reviewer had said the curtains did look like eyes, lol, but was good at keeping out light. the TV was updated and had a good picture. The door system was upgraded from the slot system to just swipe over system so I was caught off by that. Just make sure you swipe the room key card in front of the door thingy until the green light blinks. The wallpaper insdie the room was slightly peeling but if the empty, under sonstruction, pool is any indication they are in the process of remodeling. The continental breakfast was a joke that I actually chuckled at. Two kinds of dry cereal in a duplex dispenser. Milk was on the side. No juice, no fruit, no muffins.. just nothing really. Good thing theres a lot of food options close. Also note, that parking can be upwards of 20$ in Nashville so we took a cab into the city.. 27$ one way. I know this is is all over the place but I hope it helps...
