First off I wanna say I’ve lived in Madison since 2000, so I’m familiar with this place as it has been here for years. To be clear, the food is amazing, hence the two stars. I haven’t visited in a while but unfortunately today will be my last time. To set the scene, there seems to be kids working here. Everyone looks under 18 and in high school. This is not meant to offend, but not only do their looks show their age, but their actions do as well. After I made my order, a polite, petite woman walked in wanting a correction on her order. After explain the very simple situation, one of the young employees was bug eyed and silent. After staring at her for 10 seconds in silence, he went to get his manager (I assume) instead. The next two minutes were the most disgusting display of customer service I’ve seen in a while, especially coming from a place i call home. The manager threw the woman’s food away, gave her back her money, and told her “go to the mall, they’ll make it how you like it”. This is coming from a small comparison she made to another gyro place at Rivergate mall. Instead of putting pride aside to fix the woman’s simple order, the manager was condescending, rude, and arrogant. Mind you, the woman was calm and polite the whole time, up until he told her to order somewhere else, where she wearily explained she was on her very short lunch break and now had no time to eat. She mentioned she worked at the nail shop not to far from the area and was a regular customer. If the manager wasn’t so focused on the mistake of the order, he would realize that it sounded like this was one of the first errors they made since she’s been a customer. Because of this interaction I witnessed, I will no longer be coming back. I am not a fan of how they treat their customers when things go wrong. What makes this sad is that most of the younger staff watched on during this interaction. So what is that teaching them? To the manager, shame on you for treating the community the way you do. I hope you work on improving the way you handle mistakes. To the blonde lady who was unjustly treated today, it took everything in me not to order what you asked for and drop it off for you. I hope you found a place that treats you with respect, the REAL...
Read moreWords can't describe how great this food was. I ordered a Gyro Sandwich Combo with Fries and a drink along with a Combination Plate, which comes with rice and salad in addition to the Gyro meat and Chicken. The former for lunch was $7.99, the latter for dinner was $8.99, and overall just under $19 out the door. Let me tell you, it was worth EVERY penny. The Gyro Sandwich was MASSIVE. A huge pita pocket stuffed with Gyro meat, lettuce, tomato, black olives, feta and shredded cheese, jalapeno peppers, I could go on...and topped with cucumber sauce. It was so heavy, it weighed down the bag it was in. The fries were hot and crunchy and were the perfect compliment to the sandwich. Lunch was perfect. Five stars. As for the Combination Plate, you wanna talk about ginormous!!! I couldn't even finish my dinner, it was that much!!! Four juicy chicken tenders along with a generous portion of gyro meat over a mound of saffron flavored rice, one 7-8" pita bread cut into fourths and a mix of the three salads they had available, along with all the toppings I could ever ask for. Not only did I get more than my money's worth, it was flavorful and absolutely delicious. I'd give it more than five stars if I could. The establishment itself was nice and clean, organized and the service was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back for more!!! Thank you for making my lunch and dinner a heavenly...
Read moreI don't really know much about Mediterranean Food and couldn't tell you a Gyro from a Falafel, but I have eaten here twice and it is pretty good. I got the number one Gyro platter each time. The amount of food is pretty good for the price. Since I just point at most the stuff to put on it, I couldn't tell you names except the cucumber dressing is great, way better than ranch, the meat is always hot and tasty, and the bread is scrumptious. Definitely a good place to eat. I have always gone at off times (like today at 10:40) so it hasn't been very crowded. The staff...
