We were in Green Bay on business. After reading all the reviews we were excited for our stay - however were very disappointed overall.
The rooms are HOT. Many reviewers have complained about this - wondering if that will ever be addressed? We were on the 7th floor and the first night was almost unbearable. I spoke with the front desk who apologized and gave us 2 fans for the next night, which helped, however each room needs to be able control their temperature without opening the patio door. I was a little offended by the response to "push the up and down arrows to control the temperature" as if I was some child who had no idea.
Housekeeping needs a LOT of work. For a hotel that charges over $200 a night one would expect a spotless room. It was evident ours was not vacuumed and the bathroom was not up to par. There was hair in the tub from a previous occupant - that is disgusting and not acceptable. The baseboards were absolutely filthy, full of dust and hair from previous occupants. The bathroom cabinet was also filthy. The towel racks were extremely dusty. ALSO - if you love taking a shower where the tub doesn't drain and the water is up to your ankles at the end of your shower - this is the place for you. I found it repulsive.
We left a note for fresh bathroom towels and received those. However, our used glasses were not taken up an replaced and the room remained unvaccumed and undusted.
Parking - beware. They don't tell you at check in if the lot is full you have to PAY to park in the city garage, IN ADDITION to paying a parking fee. We came back from dinner and the lot right outside the hotel was completely full, and several cars were driving around trying to find a spot. I had to run inside to find out where in the world we were supposed to park - to be told we had to park across the street and pay for it. It is not my problem that the hotel does not have adequate parking or does not enforce the parking lot. We saw several people park their cars and walk off the property to go downtown.
Elevators are exceptionally slow. One time we waited almost 8 minutes for one. Since your guests rely elevators, you would think that this would be a priority for hotel management to make sure there is ease of access to a room you are paying for.
You need a degree from a college to be able to operate the television and coffee pot. Not kidding. It was ridiculous.
We will not be...
Read moreI don't know if its just the weather or what, but my stay at the Hyatt Regency Green Bay has been very unpleasant. From the Rude and unhelpful check in process, to the untrained restaurant staff. When I checked in the person at the desk asked Checking in? I said yes and gave my name, before I could finish he cut me off and told me he wasn't ready for my name he was logging in. I asked for some information on local stores. It was close to midnight, so I was planning to get what I need the next day. He replied nothing is open right now.... I explained I intended to go the next day. His reply was that there were stores close by, but no other information was given. He changed the subject. No details were provided for the property. No breakfast location or times. No offer of water ( I have status at the chain). Frankly, I have had better service at Hyatt Place. The staff at the breakfast location seem to be untrained. One day I arrived for breakfast and my drink order was taken and explanation for buffet was given. Two days later they were busy and changed how everything was done. Which is fine, if you explain the change and don't just assume someone knows. The host sat me down and walked away. I waited 10 minutes when he realized I was still sitting there and asked if I needed anything. I told him I would like to get something to drink. He advised me they setup a drink station because they were so busy. I explained my last two days there, they were taking drink orders and its helpful to explain any changes so people know what to do.
The property itself is dated and run down. My room smells like it has been smoked in and the restaurant dinners are not very good. The menu is small and the options are mediocre. I am switching to Hyatt as my Hotel of choice. Typically the properties and people are better at customer service, but this location...
Read moreWe started planning our wedding in 2019 with their coordinator, Deanna, and immediately recommended them to everyone because she was amazing and was always three steps ahead of us. The value of everything that we were able to get was amazing, with a beautiful ballroom. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding twice, and during that time, Deanna moved and was replaced by the new coordinator. We had a few minor issues throughout the planning process that were brought up to him in the moment, but we never felt that our problems were truly being solved because he would just get defensive. All in all, the day turned out beautiful and we are very happy with it. Afterwards, we were sent an event survey in which we completed with some of our issues we wanted to discuss with someone besides the wedding coordinator, because we did not feel comfortable communicating with him further. In about two months, we never got any response from Hyatt, so I posted my reviews that I was holding for them to reply. The wedding coordinator immediately screenshotted my review and emailed it to my mother, saying that I should have talked to him first about my issues (which I did), and proceeded to list all of the things that he did for us. I responded very kindly and professionally stating the reasons why we didn't reach out to him, and further explaining our issues. He came back again even more defensive, saying that since I had rescheduled my wedding twice, I was just upset and wanted to get my wedding over with and that my wedding was not that important. He said that they had never received our survey, and that we got along better with the previous coordinator simply because of our age (we are 25 and 30). I'm not sure why he believes that arguing with me will fix anything, but I will continue to not recommend anyone working with the Hyatt while he is coordinating...
