We have been here through out the years … these are experiences combined from multiple trips. Our family's excitement grew as we entered the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The stunning architecture and friendly staff immediately impressed us. Our youngest, rushed to the dinosaur exhibit, fascinated by fossils and artifacts. Our teens, engaged with interactive displays, learning about Green Bay's history and Indigenous cultures.
We appreciated the diverse exhibits, including "The Building of a City" and "The Gathering Place." Rotating exhibits featuring local artists and historical photography captivated us. Hands-on activities delighted our kids: Sanctuary Storytime, Trail Fitness Walks, and interactive displays throughout. We discovered over 100,000 artifacts and specimens, 20th-century American art, and regional archaeological finds.
Our enthusiasm echoed TripAdvisor and Yelp reviews, praising the museum's treasures and excellence. After a captivating afternoon, we agreed: the Neville Public Museum is a must-visit destination.

Read moreAs someone who loves to visit museums and has even volunteered at a couple of museums, I could not enjoy this museum. The displays were poorly laid out with replica items instead of the actual items. There are lighting and glass options that allow for viewing actual museum pieces without damaging them! The mannequins are not proportioned properly for the clothing displays and the descriptions for many of the displays were either unreadable or didn't match the items! There was one display for example that talked about the Sears and Roebuck catalog and that everything in the display could be found in the catalog, but there was not a single catalog or ad to compare to! Even a copy of the ad near the item would be helpful! One display listed a pattern machine by the treadle sewing machine and sewing basket, but was not there! Another display had items listed that included a plaque (which wasn't in the display) but not the canteen that WAS in the display! It was also hard to follow any type of theme. All of the displays are just kind of thrown into the main display room. There was a miniature farm that would be better displayed in a layout that actually looks like a farm instead of along a larger display on plain display cabinets. I could go on, but I think I have gotten my point across. I understand that funding can be an issue, but seriously! $5 for admission and you can't have...
Read moreWas meeting up with family, & due to the children's museum being overly packed, decided on coming here. Machines were down initially, so getting tickets purchased took much longer than expected, & were way pricier than you'd think. I expected the museum to be more inclusive of all ages, but it's very much geared toward CHILDREN. No biggy, we were there for the kids. It looks HUGE from the outside, but once inside, the exhibits are very small & kinda meh (all my kids were baffled at how what we experienced was basically "IT"). No working restrooms, so I took multiple trips outside IN THE POURING RAIN to take kids to the porta-potties. Not much fun, go figure. I honestly won't be back, & I wouldn't waste your money here either. Take those you love somewhere you can express that love for them. This is definitely...
