We had reservations for 7 we were there by 6:15 and having drinks at the bar. We were asked to sit at 6:55 which was great and it all went down hill from there. The table they had sat us down at was too small for our group? Not sure how this happens when they sent me a text the day before that I had to respond to get a confirmation! At this point they had to stand us all back up and move us to another part of the restaurant. This took about 15 mins for them to put together some labels and get us seated. From there it was roughly 7:10. We didn't order and get our drinks until 7:45-7:50! Unbelievable...From there it took another 30 to 45 just for her to return and take our order. Once we started to get our food we were really hoping it was going to turn around from there but it absolutely wasn't. I had ordered a chop salad with ranch and it came out with blue cheese on it. A couple people in our group ordered the tuna tartar and it was pretty spicy and the tuna itself was mushy. I have had excellent tuna before and this was not even close to what I would have called good. My next meal item was the "French Onion Soup" yes I put this in quotations because it wasn't real French Onion soup. It had a red tint to it and tasted like they had put some form of tomato in it??? French Onion soup doesn't have any tomatoes in it! Next the wife and I both had the rack of lamb I had mine Morroco style the wife had hers regular. These came out and had been cooked very well but were absolutely flavorless and had a char flavor to them? "Too close to the flame"? Not really sure but it gave an off putting taste to the meat. My wife's lamb was good according to her I didn't try it because I didn't like mine very much but ate it because at this point we had been sitting at the table for over two hours at this point waiting to eat and the first two things I had to eat were not good at all. By the time we left the restaurant it was after 10 p.m. most of the group was super disappointed with this entire establishment. The drinks were the best part of the entire establishment and I stopped drinking them because of the time it took to get a beverage and just wanted to avoid giving this place more money than I was already going to have...
Read moreWe had reservations on Friday evening, this was our first visit. We had a few drinks at the bar, had great service. However, after we were seated, it was a different story. Service was very slow, I am not sure if the waiter had our table and a section at the other end of the restaurant or if he truly only had two tables, he could not keep up. However, I did see him often assisting the female waitresses near by our table, ie, clearing off their tables, I am not sure why were were ignored. Anyways, we ordered the calamari for an appetizer, it was ok, a bit on the rubbery side, I have had better. The tomato basil bisque and the bread were excellent. For main course, I ordered the wagyu done medium, my husband ordered the tenderloin done medium-well. My wagyu was still mooing, and the tenderloin was very much on the rare side. The flavor for both was just ok, I had higher expectations based on other reviews. We were expecting to be blown away, I would place the steaks slightly about supper club quality. Another thing I wanted to note was the lack of presentation for the wagyu, this item is almost $100. My large white plate only contained the meat, nothing else. I understand that it did not come with sauce, but a smaller cut of meat on a large white plate that almost fell off the plate when the water was placing it on the table, it just reminded me of a truck stop diner vs a higher end dinning experience. I feel that this type of meat should have been served on something a bit more upgraded such as a round black stone plate. At the end of the meal, we ordered the chocolate cake, it was very good. We had to wait a good 10 minutes to get the bill, but payment was processed quickly. Overall disappointing, I regret not going to one of the other higher end establishments we normally go to. I wanted to try something new, and I...
Read moreThis is a review from our dinner on 12/15/2023. We had reservations and seated right away in a booth. The place was loud with several “groups” having holiday parties and that is normal for that time of year. We ordered drinks, an appetizer (calamari), and our mains both ordered a version of steak. Everything was good at the start. The drinks arrived along with our appetizer followed by our salads (the chopped salad was really good!). Our table was cleared and the waiting began… after 1/2 hour our entrees arrived. Both of our steaks were cold, cold plates which is unusual at a high end establishment. The butter on top of my steak was a solid clump of cold butter on a Cold fillet. I took one bite and had to ask the waitress to warm up my steak. She apologized and took my steak to the kitchen, and while that occurred, I noticed my partners mistake was red and cold in the middle just like you would have taken it out of the cooler. The waitress returned and I asked about my partner Steak. I went to try my steak again, and it was no better than before. I asked for the check because there was no way we would eat this and she came back and told us that she was really embarrassed. We requested to speak to the manager and it seems the manager was too busy to take two minutes to come to our table and see the quality of our meal. I was so disappointed because I had looked forward to this meal. I’m not sure if it was just a bad night in the kitchen because I see many reviews on here that are outstanding. Not sure if the next time in Green Bay I would eat here , but if I do, I really hope it is a better experience. Note to management – if a customer request to talk to you, please take time and come and talk to them. This alone could have made a difference in my opinion of your...
