RE/MAX Grand Lake — Local services in Grove

I just moved from Belize back to the U.S., settling in Grove, OK. Through an event of serendipity, I connected with Joyce Churchwell at Re/MAX as my realtor. I'd never met or spoken with Joyce before, but was handed off to her by Chuck Perry because of a scheduling conflict. It was a stroke of good fortune.

I had explored some of the homes available on Zillow, and had picked out half a dozen that were of interest. That list grew to 10 with some suggestions by her, and because of my travel plans, we had a window of about 48 hours to see them. We did 9 of the 10 in one afternoon, (the tenth was already in contract) and a second visit the second day to the preferred home. We made an offer, and started negotiations with many phone calls and texts/emails.

30 days later, I'm writing this from my new home. I'm sure that is not such an unusual story, but I spent 28 of the previous days in Central America. I was virtually handcuffed to do anything except go through Joyce. Communication was crucial. Details were not missed. Joyce was masterful in the entire process. The price negotiation went better than I expected. No question went unanswered. There were a few hiccups with the closing company and she was my voice and represented me without falter. I just couldn't have asked for a better experience with a realtor.

I've purchased nine homes with nine realtors over my lifetime, and worked with a different realtor for three of the sales. Of the dozen realtors I've worked with, Joyce was the best communicator, the most detail-oriented, and it's clear that she is just a very nice person--not because I was her "customer", but because it is her nature. She never hesitated to go out of her way to accommodate my questions and concerns. She unquestionably had my back every step of the way. She never appeared frazzled or rattled by any of the curves we encountered. She went above and beyond to make it easy for me.
