Avoid this place!! Huge Caution! You do not want to do business with Mattress Firm. They are not with the Better Business Bureau, and they are in bankruptcy. I was overcharged $350.00, the salesman Joe, who is the Hillsboro store manager told me he would take it off immediately. It was not, when I called back, I was given the run around. He then stated it can take 7-10 business days, I waited, I then called, and he said oh 7-10 days from your delivery of the items you purchased. He was sketchy at best.
After the 10 days I phoned him and said I had not gotten my credit, he said oh it takes up to 15 days to show the credit. I then got mad and attempted to call corporate, it was not easy, they have a push a button system and you can only get to salesmen. After multiple attempts one of the salesmen transferred me to someone who said she was in bookkeeping. I spoke with her and she said oh yes, we have made the credit adjustment.
During this time, I started looking at mattress firm reviews (I will never not look at reviews again!), many people stated that it took months to get their refunds, and some were still waiting.
I looked again at my credit card, and the adjustment was still not there. I phoned again and could not get through to someone at corporate, so I called the store. Joe called me back, he was rude and snippy from the beginning. I told him I had not received the credit and he said I told you it could take a bit. I then told him how I had found reviews online that stated people have waited months and never gotten their credits. He told me that was not true, but I was looking right at them. I told him if I did not see the credit the next day, I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. He stated well then, I am going to cancel your credit. He was nasty and rude and clearly is a liar and now a thief! I then asked for the manager and he told me he was the manager, I then asked for his boss and he told me he was the boss.
I phoned the Tigard store to ask the name of the Regional Director and a Gregory asked me why ā I told him I had a complaint and he asked for my name, when I declined to give it, he said he would not give me the name of any manager or director and hung up.

It was time to upgrade but I had no idea what I was looking for. I was greeted promptly by Marcus who guided me through the process. I told him up front that I was NOT buying that day because I needed to look at my budget and get input from an impartial and common sense party (a woman of course). Buying a bed nowadays is NOT as easy as it once was. However, the staff at the store makes the process much easier. I settled on a bed and being Black Friday, was offered several steep discounts I would have been offered otherwise.
I discussed this all with my girl (the impartial common sense half) and she agreed to come back to the store with me on Saturday. Marcus was busy with another customer so Joe took care of us. I asked him to take her through the same process Marcus took me through. Joe was also very knowledgeable and in the end, after much discussion, we worked out that what I "wanted" was out of my budget. I needed to reconsider the purchase another time (or another year). Or, go with a less expensive mattress. Joe asked us what we "needed" and how much we wanted to spend. They worked out a package deal for us within our budget and we got the mattress we wanted. A few extra discounts were tossed in and we went with a very basic adjustable (motorized) frame. That alone shaved over two thousand off the price.
Meaning, the product line is all A++ and there are mattresses to fit ALL budgets. Adjustable bed frame prices can easily approach the cost of the mattress depending on what you want. If you want your bed to invert you, zero gravity you, make you coffee, drive you to work or give you USB and 110 VAC plugins - they can do that. But, point being, they helped us focus on what we "needed", shaved off all the fluff and made it happen. It was a great experience. I came into the store just to test the options, and has little expectation to buy it in-store as I expected there to be an in-store mark up or worse service/extras when buying in-store (Purple is very generous to it's customers who order directly online). I spoke with Joe (who was very helpful and not pushy) and it turns out Mattress Firm matches whatever price, service and extras Purple lists on the websites, and includes 5-6 benefits I could get by buying in-store as opposed to online (including longer financing options, longer trial period, and faster delivery). In fact, when we arranging delivery, Joe indicated it would be an extra charge for delivering the mattress and setting it on the frame. I pointed out that Purple includes white glove service for free when purchasing a Purple Hybrid Premier and, once we found it on the Purple website, Joe waived the delivery fee. The best part was that instead of it taking 2-3 weeks (which it would have if I ordered online), I scheduled deliver for 2 days from now (which I am REALLY excited for because I hate my current mattress).
