Visited Mr. Bento Burger last weekend for lunch and from the moment I opened the door it was an exceptional experience. Mr. Bento himself greeted me with a smile and walked me to the register to take my order. He asked if it was my first visit and offered to answer any questions or provide recommendations if necessary. While waiting for the food to be prepared, it was again Mr. Bento that cleaned what seemed like every inch of the restaurant himself including the door handles. He also greeted every single guest as they walked in and wished them well as they left. The food was incredible. The sweet potato fries were done well with generous portions, the burger I tried was among the best I've had from any restaurant and the refreshing combination of Bento and a classic burger was something I wish I had tried sooner. This restaurant is the kindness, passion and hardwork of a truly unique restaurant owner; a real gem that everybody should experience.

If you’re craving a delightful Japanese meal, look no further than Mr. Bento Teriyaki. Their Teriyaki Chicken Bento is a crowd-pleaser, combining savory flavors and fresh ingredients. Here’s what you can expect: Teriyaki Chicken: Tender, pan-seared chicken glazed with a rich teriyaki sauce. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. Steamed Rice: A fluffy bed of steamed white rice, providing a comforting base for the chicken. Wontons: While the traditional bento might not include wontons, Mr. Bento adds a delightful twist. Imagine crispy, golden wontons—each bite a crunchy delight. Side Salad: A refreshing mix of greens, perhaps with a sesame dressing or a light vinaigrette. The salad complements the heartier components of the bento. The Teriyaki Chicken Bento is a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, Mr. Bento Teriyaki delivers quality and satisfaction.

Super generous with the beef (thick) and chicken (3 pieces!) in the burgers--well seasoned and juicy! Absolutely delicious, alive with flavour and well balanced with the creative and unique burgers we tried. Great salad bring colorful, fresh and tasty. The potstickers with the burgers were surprisingly a great paring. Or substitute both for some great fries. We tried the Angry Birds Burger (with super tasty kimchee, a unique sauce I don't remember ever trying and a fried egg), Hawaii burger (with delicious and juicy grilled pineapple), Rollipoli Burger (if I remember correctly) and the chicken with rice. All exceptional. Big servings but not too big and a very good price. Very friendly and helpful staff who care about you and their products. Love this place! Want to come back again before the end of our vacation! A rare 4.7 stars out of 5 on Google and we'll deserving of it!

Sometimes the food and the service of some places feel like 5 stars is just not enough. This gem of a burger joint is one such place. No matter what I write, my words wont do justice to this beloved place. So go ahead and try out their fare, you wont be disappointed.

Whether i call in for a burger or order at the counter, it's always nice to hear Jane's cheerful voice saying that the order will be ready in 15 minutes. When I drop by, it's always a pleasure to see the chefs working right behind the counter. The work stations are clean and well maintained, and the attention to detail in whatever they produce out of that kitchen is very noteworthy.

Normally one would expect a burger place to serve great burgers, but this place not only serves insanely good burgers but their salad vinaigrette is absolutely unique and top notch. Their burger comes with salad and potstickers as opposed to fries. But one can order fries on the side or even better, go for the loco fries which are delectable with or without meat.

I am not the biggest fan of burgers, but i absolutely fell in love with this place. I was recently recommended this place by a few friends and in a short span of time i have tried quite a few of their burgers and i am yet to be disappointed. They consistently deliver great burgers. I have tried their Cheeseburger, Hawaiian, Angry Cow, Walla Walla, Rollipop and their recently introduced Black Swan Burger which is a Wagyu burger with the thickest single patty that i have ever had. All of them were absolutely delicious. I am interested in trying out all the rest of the burgers in future, especially, Godzilla, Nacho Bro, Fat Mario and Skippy which is supposed to have peanut butter. Their workmanship is so impressive that i might even try out their Salmon, Chicken and Veggie options as well. Among the non-burger options, i have tried the Tipsy cow Bento and really enjoyed it. I look forward to trying the Hot Mama's Chicken Teriyaki and the Maui Salmon Bento next.

They keep updating the menu and recent additions such as the Black Swan Burger and the fully loaded Loco fries have totally hit the spot. On my latest visit i found even newer items like a Fluffy Snow Flake dessert and Boba drinks, which come in a variety of fruit flavors like Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple etc. We tried the mango drink and found that they used real mango! The refreshing concoction of mango-ey goodness interspersed with the tiniest shards of ice, fully dispersed in milk, felt amazing on a hot summer day. They even had soy milk versions for lactose intolerant folks! We initially ordered one, then ordered 2 more tall glasses. And seeing us enjoy our drinks outside, Jane dropped by with 4 more small glasses filled with mango-ey goodness, so that we all had our own glass. Cheers to her hospitality and service. I think, other than Boba, you can also have non-Boba versions of the drinks and go for smoothies or slushies as well. I am not entirely sure about all the options available, so best to ask at the counter.

I hope that the diligent folks working here keep on doing exactly what they are doing. I hope they keep on innovating and producing incredible food. I hope to try all their items both current and future ones. I hope they keep serving the best burgers i have had in a long while. And not only burgers, I hope they keep making the best salad vinaigrettes, amazing buns, insanely good fries (always made fresh and warm), amazing summer drinks and now, even desserts. More power to them!

P.S: Lots of free parking just outside the restaurant. It's a family friendly restaurant, with high chairs on one side of the layout and normal dining on the other. The inside is temp controlled but there is outdoor seating...

Gentlemen at the counter really ruined my experience today. Second time I visited this establishment. Food is already pricey, but fairly good for the options and ingredients available. As soon as I approached the counter the guy taking orders steps in my way preventing me from reading the menu by the bottle cooler so I don’t have to stand in front of any customers who know what they want. I figure out my order. I turn toward the counter and the same guy who should be taking orders is ignoring to the counter. So much so that a cook ask if I was ready to order before telling the order taker to take my order. Does he come right away? No. Waves off the cook. I ignore this. I place my order. As I’m about to pay the order taker thinks he is sending the payment to the square reader. The square reader is clearly turned off. He is suggesting that my mobile pay option is the problem. I point out to him the reader is off. He is still suggesting I pay a different way. I say that’s not a problem, but the reader is off. I think he needs to charge it. He says it’s supposed to work. Of course, when it’s charged. I give him my physical card to swipe. I thought that would be the end of it. Turns out he wrung up the wrong order. I asked for the salmon steak burger, I get a salmon steak bento box. I tell the guy at the pickup window. He tells me I have to go back to the counter. I go back and explain that my order is wrong. He repeats what the guy at the pickup window said about the ticket suggesting I ordered the bento box. I did not. He reluctantly grabs my order and begins to disassemble my order with his bare hands, moving the salad from one container to the next. The cook uses gloves and utensils to move over the salmon. He brings to order back to me as if I’m did something wrong and turns away in a very dismissive manner. No apology or offer for the inconvenience. Idk if that’s how this establishment treats everyone, or it’s how they decided to treat me. I will not be back. Good luck to you all. Roxy’s makes the same quality burger...

On the way to our golf tournament, our coach took us on a 1 hour detour through the rush hour traffic of Portland, to try what he said was best burger he’s ever had. I must say it was worth every minute of traffic we waited in. From the moment we walked in, it was like we walked right into a wall of flavor and warmly greeted by the friendly staff.

The dining area atmosphere was amazing and had a cozy feel to it with the many paintings on the walls. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors for the preference of the customer. The menu offers a variety of options to suit all tastes, including some excellent vegetarian and vegan choices. The quality of their ingredients is as good as the service. Each bite was a burst of flavor that kept getting better and better. I highly recommend the Fat Mario.

The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. Each burger comes with a side choice of pot stickers or sweet potato fries. The pot stickers were a clear winner for me. This may have been my first experience here, but it definitely won’t be my last. It’s going to be hard to top a...
