We had an absolutely fantastic time at Costa Hollywood Beach! I find it important to note from the beginning that a lot of the reviews you’ll read from anytime prior to early 2022 are based on the time when Costa was going through lots of changes due to Covid. Lots of complaints that I read in many reviews were not the case anymore because Costa has improved a LOT! They finally seem to be hitting their stride and I’m happy to report that it was absolutely fantastic in every way! The staff was wonderful and plentiful in every area...all very kind, helpful and wonderful! Ricardo assisted us with check-in and warmly welcomed us even though our room wasn’t ready yet, made suggestions where we could go for lunch and offered to text me any updates as to when our room was ready, if it would be before check in. He followed up with me shortly after and texted me to let me know our room was ready early which was really kind. He then checked in with us two more times throughout our stay to make sure we were pleased which was really kind! Our room was exactly as described, very comfortable, very clean and with amenities such as a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc! As many reviews said that there were no towels, that problem has definitely been solved, there are towels everywhere now, for the beach, the pool, the room, anytime you ask! The beds in the room are comfortable and even the sofa bed was one of the nicer and more comfortable sofa beds I’ve ever laid on and our children loved it! The gym was really nice, including two Pelotons. The rooftop restaurant and bar, Sunset Club, is open and thriving! We had wonderful food and excellent drinks with great service from them every time! We met both Sabina and Jessica and they were both absolutely wonderful! Sabina warmly welcomed us every time we walked up to the bar and treated our children with such kindness! The rooftop views are absolutely incredible from both sides, the pool was lovely and warm, the hot tub was a wonderful temperature as well! We only wish that the pool and hot tub had been open a little later in the evenings but we learned that all pools in that area close around the same time so they seem to be on par with the other resorts in HWB. The location here is just hard to beat. It’s a 25 minute Uber ride that’s about $30-$40 from FLL airport. We did not get a car because we have been told by friends who visited that area that you really do not need one. We did take advantage of the circuit shuttle, $1 per person and easily requested through their app (search circuit shuttle) with only a 5 minute wait for a private ride. It pulled right up to Costa and took it to Publix for groceries which was perfect! Costa is only a two minute walk to Hollywood beach itself and the amazing Broadwalk and beach. There are so many shops and restaurants and bars to visit on the Broadwalk! The beach is huge and great, itwas so nice to have the two beach loungers included in our stay offered by the Boucher brothers beach rental! Stand out meals on the broadwalk were pizza at Rocco‘s, poke bowls and sushi at Poke Sushi, Tacos and Elotes at The Taco Joint, Açaí bowls at the Yogurt place next to Poke Sushi, delicious breakfasts at Ocean Alley (also at Giorgio’s across Ocean Blvd next to GG’s). Lots of great ice cream, gelato and froyo on the broadwalk, as well! Dinners at Sunset Club at Costa watching the sunset, followed by drinks in the hot tub were really special too! We saw manatees in the inlet across from Costa, took in concerts, bike rides, walks, many beach and pool days, sunrises and sunsets and endless fun! Hard to find SO MUCH in one area that is all very easily walkable...this area has it all and while we planned to adventure out a few times, never did because we didn’t want to leave Costa and the area!! HIGHLY recommend in every way!! We will certainly be back!! Thank you for a wonderful and much needed getaway after two really rough years. We LOVED our time at Costa, Sunset Club and Hollywood Beach...

My stay at the Costa Hotel Resort was an absolute disaster from start to finish. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Here’s what went down during my nightmare visit:
Rude Front Desk Staff (Desiree): Upon check-in, I encountered a front desk agent named Desiree whose attitude was downright disgusting. I simply asked if I could split the payment between two cards—something common and easy to accommodate in most hotels. Instead of a polite response, she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude, saying “No” without any further explanation. When I mentioned I had worked at a hotel before and asked about their system, she shrugged and acted as though I was bothering her. Completely unprofessional! Terrible Room Assignment: Desiree assigned me a room on the second floor, which I wasn’t happy with. I politely asked if there was a higher floor available. Her response? “No, I don’t know, come back in the morning if you want to change it.” Really? My reservation was only for ONE NIGHT, and she couldn’t be bothered to even check. Incompetent with Basic Requests: My brother, who had an early morning flight, asked if she could add my name to the reservation since he was leaving at 5 AM. Again, she said she didn’t know how to do that! I explained that if I got locked out of the room, the hotel wouldn’t even know who I was. I suggested she at least leave a note for the next shift, but she couldn’t even manage that. How is she working at the front desk?! Discriminatory Late Check-Out Denial: The final straw came the next morning when I requested a late check-out. At 10:45 AM, I called the front desk, and they flat-out refused, saying they needed the room for the next guest. But when I went downstairs to ask in person, I watched a white woman ask for a late check-out and get it approved RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. When I asked why, the agent rudely told me no late check-out for anyone in my room or an extension of the stay. Even worse, she refused to let me speak to the manager because “the manager wasn’t available.” She was quick to reprogram my keys and tell me to pack up, which I did immediately. Unjustified Charges After Checkout: After leaving the hotel, I noticed TWO unauthorized charges: $360 and $139. I had prepaid for the room, so I called to ask what these were for. Apparently, I was charged $200 for a late check-out (even though I was out by 11:20 AM) and $150 for a deep cleaning fee. Deep cleaning?! I barely stayed in the room for 7 hours and didn’t even use the shower!
Despite my multiple attempts to reach management to address this, they are mysteriously never available. This is an appalling level of service from a hotel that’s supposed to be “nice.”
Do yourself a favor and avoid Costa Hotel Resort. The staff is rude, the service is discriminatory, and they’ll hit you with hidden charges without any explanation. What could’ve been a decent stay turned into one of the worst hotel...
Read moreWe stayed 1/5/2024-1/9/2024. Room N-430. Location to the beach was as expected, there is about a 1/4 mile walk to get there. The roof top experience was very good, but it is obviously a weather driven destination. By that I mean, bad weather bad experience. Good weather good experience. Staff was very attentive to all requests, but I must add that almost all of our requests should not have had to be made. I’ll explain. We stayed in the 3 bedroom king suite. I bedroom was a true master suite, king bed walking closet and huge bathroom with double vanity sink. Other bedroom was a queen bed and the third was two single beds. Those two rooms shared a single very nice sized bathroom. Kitchen , dining and living room was a large open space which was nice for us all to gather. The sofa also converted to a bed, we can’t review as we didn’t open it for use. Now for the bad parts…sleeping room for 8 but there was no where near enough amenities for 8. Kitchen was completely under stocked. Different number of everything from silverware to plates to bowls an glasses. The cookware was terrible. No stick pans that were truly not. Very cheap. They do not, for safety reasons we were told, provide sharp knives or a toaster. Toasters should be provided. The coffee maker was not for large groups. They should provide Keurig styles brewers and pods. European style oven, thank goodness for YouTube as we needed it for directions to use. More than enough cupboard space but not enough refrigerator space. Had to call for extra paper towels, toilet paper, silverware , glasses, plates and garbage bags. Again, room for 8 but supplies for two. All requested supplies were delivered in plastic garbage bags and set on floor inside door, including serving items. There is a dishwasher but you have to ask for the dishwasher soap. TV was not large enough (maybe a 50”) for a room full of people. We had six adults staying so not everyone had a seat to watch. We were there primarily to add beach days on either side of the Bills/Dolphins game so NFL TV was a big part of the five days there. One sofa and one chair was in LR. The “water view” was of the intercostal water way not the ocean. Now for the worst part. The entire space just felt dirty. The vinyl flooring was sticky and you could see the floor had not been properly cleaned throughout the unit. Bathrooms were “clean” but could have and should have been cleaner. The curtains in the master had what appeared to be blood stains on them. The chain mechanisms for the blinds are cheap and did not work very well. The linens were “clean” but if I’m being honest I have to say I don’t believe they change the “top” bed covering for every new guest. You just know that everyone sets their dirty luggage on it and also they sit on it. Just felt dirty. Overall we made the best of everything but for the price we paid we...
