We had an absolutely fantastic time at Costa Hollywood Beach! I find it important to note from the beginning that a lot of the reviews you’ll read from anytime prior to early 2022 are based on the time when Costa was going through lots of changes due to Covid. Lots of complaints that I read in many reviews were not the case anymore because Costa has improved a LOT! They finally seem to be hitting their stride and I’m happy to report that it was absolutely fantastic in every way! The staff was wonderful and plentiful in every area...all very kind, helpful and wonderful! Ricardo assisted us with check-in and warmly welcomed us even though our room wasn’t ready yet, made suggestions where we could go for lunch and offered to text me any updates as to when our room was ready, if it would be before check in. He followed up with me shortly after and texted me to let me know our room was ready early which was really kind. He then checked in with us two more times throughout our stay to make sure we were pleased which was really kind! Our room was exactly as described, very comfortable, very clean and with amenities such as a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc! As many reviews said that there were no towels, that problem has definitely been solved, there are towels everywhere now, for the beach, the pool, the room, anytime you ask! The beds in the room are comfortable and even the sofa bed was one of the nicer and more comfortable sofa beds I’ve ever laid on and our children loved it! The gym was really nice, including two Pelotons. The rooftop restaurant and bar, Sunset Club, is open and thriving! We had wonderful food and excellent drinks with great service from them every time! We met both Sabina and Jessica and they were both absolutely wonderful! Sabina warmly welcomed us every time we walked up to the bar and treated our children with such kindness! The rooftop views are absolutely incredible from both sides, the pool was lovely and warm, the hot tub was a wonderful temperature as well! We only wish that the pool and hot tub had been open a little later in the evenings but we learned that all pools in that area close around the same time so they seem to be on par with the other resorts in HWB. The location here is just hard to beat. It’s a 25 minute Uber ride that’s about $30-$40 from FLL airport. We did not get a car because we have been told by friends who visited that area that you really do not need one. We did take advantage of the circuit shuttle, $1 per person and easily requested through their app (search circuit shuttle) with only a 5 minute wait for a private ride. It pulled right up to Costa and took it to Publix for groceries which was perfect! Costa is only a two minute walk to Hollywood beach itself and the amazing Broadwalk and beach. There are so many shops and restaurants and bars to visit on the Broadwalk! The beach is huge and great, itwas so nice to have the two beach loungers included in our stay offered by the Boucher brothers beach rental! Stand out meals on the broadwalk were pizza at Rocco‘s, poke bowls and sushi at Poke Sushi, Tacos and Elotes at The Taco Joint, Açaí bowls at the Yogurt place next to Poke Sushi, delicious breakfasts at Ocean Alley (also at Giorgio’s across Ocean Blvd next to GG’s). Lots of great ice cream, gelato and froyo on the broadwalk, as well! Dinners at Sunset Club at Costa watching the sunset, followed by drinks in the hot tub were really special too! We saw manatees in the inlet across from Costa, took in concerts, bike rides, walks, many beach and pool days, sunrises and sunsets and endless fun! Hard to find SO MUCH in one area that is all very easily walkable...this area has it all and while we planned to adventure out a few times, never did because we didn’t want to leave Costa and the area!! HIGHLY recommend in every way!! We will certainly be back!! Thank you for a wonderful and much needed getaway after two really rough years. We LOVED our time at Costa, Sunset Club and Hollywood Beach and Broadwalk!!

This place isn't really a hotel, more like a collection of airbnb rooms but with hotel rules. Here's the full breakdown: The hotel is located directly between the beach and the intracoastal waterway. Mostly everything you need is walkable. The hotel spans two buildings with a street between them, and the street level seems like it's rented out to various businesses. Only two were open and in business when we were there (7/11/25-7/15/25): a coffee shop and an ice cream shop that serves alcohol too. The hotel amenities fee of $45/day includes access to the pool, towels for each guest, two beach chairs (umbrella is an additional $20), access to the gym, luggage storage, and one free hour of bike rides on their beach cruisers. Note on the towels: they give you a daily voucher that you trade in for the towels. If you do not return the voucher at check out then you will be fined. There is no convenient store on premise, nor is there room service, breakfast service, or food of any kind through the hotel. If you stay in anything larger than the studio you will not have housekeeping at all. There is a rooftop bar with food, which is independent of the hotel, so outside guests will be there. They are strict and will not let you bring beverages anywhere near the pool. But the food and drinks are great and there are lots of chairs and loungers to hang out at. The pool itself is a large rectangle, goes up to about 5 feet, and does not have any slides or diving boards. There is also a small hot tub which can accommodate 4-5 guests. There's another small pool on the roof but it's not clear if it's a display pool or for guests. They do play music and the environment is fun and lively. Also this is a family friendly hotel with one pool, so there will be lots of children. The gym is small but has plenty for a good workout: a few cardio machines, dumb bells and kettlebells, a water fountain, a mirror, one cable machine, and a few pieces of equipment. Beware: while we were there guests were bringing their kids into the gym and there's no attendant to tell them that the equipment isn't for playing. The room: We were kindly upgraded at the front desk and were given a one bedroom style room. We found it to be clean and spacious. The air conditioning works well, the rooms nearby weren't too loud, and the bed was comfortable. We did find that the hot water was lacking, and the TVs were small and not modern at all (no cable, no smart apps). Overall, we would stay here again, and recommend it for a budget vacation. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the location was great, and the rooms were clean. But if you're looking for a luxury type visit, maybe try Margaritaville, which is located about a 5 minute walk north.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Pros: The room was as described in pictures and it had great access to the beach. Cons: Let’s start with Valet. You’re forced to valet when staying here if you bring a car. Valet is $40 a day and on day 1, the Valet CRASHED OUR CAR and caused significant damage. To add insult to injury, they still charged me the $40 a day for the valet service!
The second con is the fact that we had ants in our room in the kitchen area. Housekeeping had to come out twice to spray because they couldn’t move us to another room. Third, the pool was really cloudy and had a film to it. Both the pool and Jacuzzi were filled with kids when we were day, so if you’re looking for an adult vacation, you’re going to have to stick with the beach. Fourth, the fire alarm went off, and they made everyone evacuate (and we were on the top floor). Turns out a kid pulled the alarm and that was at least the second time it happened within a week. Many people got their stuff and left after that. Based on the Valet experience alone, I would never stay here again. There are too many other great places along the boardwalk to stay. And if any community manager or corporate employee is reading this, save your “sincerest apology” for our bad experience, unless it’s attached to a refund for the valet charges. Update: The hotel's response below said they would have someone from Guest Services reach out to me shortly. We'll it's been 4 full business days and I haven't heard from anyone at this hotel. Don't let them fool you. They care nothing about customer service.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT COSTA HOTEL RESORT – AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My stay at the Costa Hotel Resort was an absolute disaster from start to finish. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Here’s what went down during my nightmare visit:

Rude Front Desk Staff (Desiree): Upon check-in, I encountered a front desk agent named Desiree whose attitude was downright disgusting. I simply asked if I could split the payment between two cards—something common and easy to accommodate in most hotels. Instead of a polite response, she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude, saying “No” without any further explanation. When I mentioned I had worked at a hotel before and asked about their system, she shrugged and acted as though I was bothering her. Completely unprofessional! Terrible Room Assignment: Desiree assigned me a room on the second floor, which I wasn’t happy with. I politely asked if there was a higher floor available. Her response? “No, I don’t know, come back in the morning if you want to change it.” Really? My reservation was only for ONE NIGHT, and she couldn’t be bothered to even check. Incompetent with Basic Requests: My brother, who had an early morning flight, asked if she could add my name to the reservation since he was leaving at 5 AM. Again, she said she didn’t know how to do that! I explained that if I got locked out of the room, the hotel wouldn’t even know who I was. I suggested she at least leave a note for the next shift, but she couldn’t even manage that. How is she working at the front desk?! Discriminatory Late Check-Out Denial: The final straw came the next morning when I requested a late check-out. At 10:45 AM, I called the front desk, and they flat-out refused, saying they needed the room for the next guest. But when I went downstairs to ask in person, I watched a white woman ask for a late check-out and get it approved RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. When I asked why, the agent rudely told me no late check-out for anyone in my room or an extension of the stay. Even worse, she refused to let me speak to the manager because “the manager wasn’t available.” She was quick to reprogram my keys and tell me to pack up, which I did immediately. Unjustified Charges After Checkout: After leaving the hotel, I noticed TWO unauthorized charges: $360 and $139. I had prepaid for the room, so I called to ask what these were for. Apparently, I was charged $200 for a late check-out (even though I was out by 11:20 AM) and $150 for a deep cleaning fee. Deep cleaning?! I barely stayed in the room for 7 hours and didn’t even use the shower!

Despite my multiple attempts to reach management to address this, they are mysteriously never available. This is an appalling level of service from a hotel that’s supposed to be “nice.”

Do yourself a favor and avoid Costa Hotel Resort. The staff is rude, the service is discriminatory, and they’ll hit you with hidden charges without any explanation. What could’ve been a decent stay turned into one of the worst hotel...

We stayed 1/5/2024-1/9/2024. Room N-430. Location to the beach was as expected, there is about a 1/4 mile walk to get there. The roof top experience was very good, but it is obviously a weather driven destination. By that I mean, bad weather bad experience. Good weather good experience. Staff was very attentive to all requests, but I must add that almost all of our requests should not have had to be made. I’ll explain. We stayed in the 3 bedroom king suite. I bedroom was a true master suite, king bed walking closet and huge bathroom with double vanity sink. Other bedroom was a queen bed and the third was two single beds. Those two rooms shared a single very nice sized bathroom. Kitchen , dining and living room was a large open space which was nice for us all to gather. The sofa also converted to a bed, we can’t review as we didn’t open it for use. Now for the bad parts…sleeping room for 8 but there was no where near enough amenities for 8. Kitchen was completely under stocked. Different number of everything from silverware to plates to bowls an glasses. The cookware was terrible. No stick pans that were truly not. Very cheap. They do not, for safety reasons we were told, provide sharp knives or a toaster. Toasters should be provided. The coffee maker was not for large groups. They should provide Keurig styles brewers and pods. European style oven, thank goodness for YouTube as we needed it for directions to use. More than enough cupboard space but not enough refrigerator space. Had to call for extra paper towels, toilet paper, silverware , glasses, plates and garbage bags.
