Crystal Inn Downtown — Hotel in Houston

Came to Huston for 2 days of work at the fiesta down the road. Not the best area but when your from Dallas it’s the same just about. Did my research and found a inn called haven inn and was planing on staying there. I read the reviews and of course the lowest rating ones. Made me feel iffy about staying there but told myself I won’t know till I get there. Front desk lady was very nice and quick. The outside looks really nice and clean.It’s like your not in the same area even tho fiesta is like 3 business builds down. Then I noticed I wasn’t at haven inn and that I was at CRYSTAL INN. I wasn’t paying much attention pulling in the parking lot. I was just shocked about how nice this places looks for the area. I already paid and got my room when I noticed. These two inn are right next to each other. They share the same entrance almost. The first thing I did was check the bed. I took everything off slowly got a bright light to check everywhere on the mattress followed all the stitching of the mattress and flipped the bed upwards to check underneath The mattress is extremely clean. Super bright white no stains nothing The mattress has a mattress protector, one of those pillows top fitted sheets and a fitted sheet check all of it. Nothin. Not a stain, hairs or anything crawling. Check the pillows. Checked behind the bed, base boards, nightstands, couch, bathroom and towels. I seriously did a hardcore 30 to 45min room check and It was all clean other then a small amount of dust in a corner or two. Not joking at all. The cleaning staff is on point and they deserve a raise. The bathroom was clean no gunk or hair in the shower. Toilets was clean. The shower is amazing and super cool. Big for a shower had Led lights on the shower head that’s on the ceiling right above you with two other sprayers on the wall that’s gets your body. Big tv (not the best cable connection) but who needs that when you got a phone or tablet. The internet was fast, had no loading problems. Bed was comfortable. Got a full 8hrs of sleep even tho I’m a firm bed type of person and can never really sleep in beds that’s not mine. It was quite other then the highway but that’s any hotel. Didn’t bother me at all because I always bring earplugs. Nothing against haven inn but I am so glad I wasn’t paying much attention when pulling in the parking lot. Never been this lucky. It’s a great place to stay and it will definitely be the place I stay at anytime I come to Huston for work. Even if it’s a 5 to 15 miles away from the job site. This places only has about 25 reviews and it deserves many more. I definitely recommend staying here if your in the area. It’s priced around the same as the other inns around here I think It may be $5 to $10 more maybe a little less. Either way its definitely worth every penny compared to these other places. This place is incredible. I stay here exclusively when in town. Very quiet and peaceful escape. The front desk and owners family are so kind and respectful and very discreet. This is the kind of place they run, about 3 weeks ago I overslept and was awoken by a knock at the door. I was very politely reminded that check out had passed by over 45 min and was assured to take my time by the house keeper well I grabbed my things in such a hurry I forgot my wallet that I sleep with under my pillow and as I was still a bit hazey I didn't realize it was gone. I must admit I felt really bad because I believe it to be human to expect that situation to wash out bad and the wallet to be "unfound" well once I retraced my steps in my memory it hit Me that I had left my wallet under my pillow and upon calling I was greeted by the owner who almost seemed to be waiting for my call and eagerly relayed to me the msg that his head house keeper had found my wallet and once I got there I could retrieve it From the front desk or he could or he could mail it to me I got there about an hour later And to my surprise everything was in it I had over $420 cash And multiple cards And everything was accounted for not touched or moved one bit I love this hotel and will always be...

This hotel is a rip off do not book here,i booked a stay and tried to call to inform them my flight was cancelled and that I’m snowed in due to the recent snow storm. Let’s just say I’ve emailed, called from sun up to sun down with no response. Like literally phone rings all day with no answer. It’s free to cancel but they have to accept it and reply so i have been waiting and calling for weeks still no response.( They like to jack up the rates for black peoples and make sure you can’t cancel so they can keep the money.)
