Things just kept going down hill from the start...I ordered a fresh made limeade and it was watered down...but no big deal. The green salsa they serve with chips was also watered down. I was a bit disappointed in that. Then the waitress was rushing me to place an order. One: never been here so I needed some time and had questions. Questions that she wasn’t willing to answer. Two: I told her I was waiting on someone and she was insisting on me placing an order even after I told her I was waiting on someone. Meanwhile, I asked for a sample of mole sauce to see if that’s what I wanted to order and she told me she would bring it shortly. When my friend arrived, she didn’t bring an additional menu so we had to share...again, no big deal. Then when she came to take our order and I asked if she could bring that sample of sauce (the one I asked for a while back) then she told me the kitchen only give samples during the week days. So we begin to order, my friend places their order first and (my friend) asks me a question and the waitress leaves before I can place my order because she said we weren’t ready. We wait another long while for her to come back. Let me say that they were busy BUT (she had time to sit down and eat her food before serving us ours) not that busy for her to be rushing us like that and walking away in the middle of us placing our orders. When we finally finished placing our orders, we waited for a long while because we had to wait for her to finish eating so she could bring our food. I believe our food was sitting there for a while because someone else had to bring it to us. (because she was still eating)...and of course my food was cold! Not super cold but you could tell it had been sitting there for a while. I ordered breakfast. She asked if I wanted her to microwave my food and I said no. If it would have been something else other than eggs, maybe but NOT eggs! So after waiting for an hour, I didn’t eat anything. I do have to say, it looked really good! The tortillas were handmade but I just can’t eat microwaved eggs and couldn’t wait for them to make another because they had already taken a lot of our time. Another lady did come to apologize and offered to make another one but again we didn’t have much time left. I’m only giving two stars because manager did apologize and they have homemade tortillas and they were big too! Didn’t get to try it...oh well...in my opinion, a restaurant most valuable possession is their customer service! And the waitress needs to have better customer service. I would have totally come back even after this bad experience but I won’t because of her. *REVIEWED 2013- Ever since tried their fajita tacos I've never wanted to go anywhere else. Big tacos and almost no fat and all flavor made fresh always. They have fresh food and excellent customer service. I eat here every weekend without fail, i definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves real food and likes a quick small place to eat. Near 45N exit on tidwell.
** EDIT 2024 - I went to this place for over 10 YEARS, from.their 1.25 tacos to now, $4 tacos , and I've had it with their DECLINING customer service I used to love so much. She’s on the shorter side and kinda stubby. Throughout our meal, she seemed more interested in her phone than in taking care of her tables. We had to flag her down multiple times just to get refills or ask for simple things like napkins. I noticed it wasn’t just us it was all her tables. It felt like we were interrupting her screen time whenever we needed something. Overall, the lack of attention really took away from what could have been a nice dining experience.
