The Haven — Hotel in Huntsville

I have lived here for 2 years, the manager does not have any respect for his tenants. This hotel has a weekly stay it is expensive. I have went without air conditioning for 2 days and night. My microwave broke and they couldn't get me another one at 7 p.m I had to wait. The amount of money I pay and on time every week I can't get some of the staff and the manager to do anything. They feel like they can run over you show not any professionalism. It's like they know you can't leave because rent is so high and you can't save any money. They would rather have drug dealers rent a week then be kind and do what they are supposed to do for people that live a clean life. Our wall had hole in it for for almost a year, there is mold bugs I suggest don't even rent a room for a night. Also I am so close to having a down payment at a place 2 bedroom 2 bath and washer and dryer and it's cheaper than what I pay here. Worse place to stay. Lazy people. Bad management when I check in after a long drive from another state. I was total for room 91.00 a night with 50 dollars deposit, making that 145. and was told that I would receive my deposit back on check out . Maid Did not clean our floor I ask for vacuum cleaner to clean our floor I was given a broom and a dirty dust pan . I had 2 small children one child Autistic. I reported over and over about floor under air unit leaking water on carpet Nothing done about it. Roach poisoning on floor under sink. Commode or toilet seat keep falling off.when we checked out manager walked me to the room like a child said your beds are not made up I said WHAT isnt that maids job to wash cover he looked at me Crazy and make beds on leaving he at the top of his voice he said this room is trashed I said I left one small Walmart bag of trash. The Haven has done an excellent job at cleaning up, eliminating and deterring the riff-raff from dirtying up their image. While some might think that their rules and regulations are a bit strict, I believe them to be necessary in order to keep the tenants safe and to keep the cops away. To the best of my knowledge, the staff also live on the property (so they are always there to assist...and they are always keeping an eye out, too.) The rooms are older and aren't very "up-to-date." But they have a pretty nice laundry room, and the weekly rates are very good. Despite the shortcomings, however, the rooms are very large and are definitely worth the prices. I try to stay at The Haven when I need a room quick and am low on funds. You definitely don't feel grimey after a night there,...
